Instead she will be heading to New Japan Pro Wrestling beginning in January, and now we know some more interesting details about the entire situation. While WWE has been the top promotions in America for the last few decades, but there are others outside of the United States with deep histories of their own. Now the biggest promotion elsewhere will be getting something of a crossover with WWE. Earlier this week, the OC (Karl Anderson/Luke Gallows) made their return to WWE after a two year absence. The two have recently appeared for New Japan Pro Wrestling, where Anderson is still the reigning Never Openweight Champion. She is now using her real name, with no mention of WWE in the handle. She went from “SashaBanksWWE” to “MercedesVarnado”. It’s a bonus punishment. AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works and that has been a good thing for fans. While AEW is a major promotion on the biggest stage, it also allows its wrestlers to work independent shows, allowing fans to see mainstream talent on smaller stages. That is a rather cool thing, but it is not going to be the case for some of those wrestlers for the time being. Earlier this month, a backstage brawl took place after AEW All Out, resulting in several suspensions. It is not clear when the wrestlers will be back, as AEW is still conducting an investigation. AEW does not seem to be the most interested in running these shows but that very well might have a lot to do with the shows being network mandates. At least we should get some good action so let’s get to it. TNT Title: Jay Lethal vs. Wardlow Lethal, with Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh, is challenging. Wardlow shoves him around to start and a big toss sends Lethal outside. Lethal gets in a cheap shot though and scores with an enziguri back inside. A tilt-a-whirl slam gets Wardlow out of trouble but Lethal knocks him outside for the suicide dive. That means Lethal can get in the strut before wrapping Wardlow’s leg around the post. It’s time to shake things up again, but this time in a very different way. A new report from Fightful Select outlines some of the plans for the WWE roster now that Triple H has taken over for Vince McMahon and is now EVP of Talent Relations. According to the report, Triple H is just getting started, and a “feeling-out process” has taken place regarding talk of reshaping the roster. This includes adding more depth in the form of past WWE talent that has either been released or didn’t re-sign with the company. Earlier this week, WWE announced that Ronda Rousey was indefinitely suspended and fined due to attacking referees at Summerslam. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Rousey is currently scheduled to wrestle at Clash At The Castle on September 3, meaning that she is likely to be back on television before them. It is not known when Rousey will be back from her suspension, but it is likely to last less than a month.
