That could be a problem. It was previously reported that Bray Wyatt missed a scheduled live event appearance at Madison Square Garden over the weekend, along with missing Smackdown this past week. Some new information may give some clues as to why this happened. According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Wyatt has an undisclosed “physical issue” and is currently out of action. It is unknown at this time. What exactly the issue is, and how long he will be away from WWE. Legends Rise? Update On WrestleMania Status Of The Rock And Steve Austin

Maybe next time. There are certain stars in wrestling who have become legends in their own time. Since it is wrestling, there is always the chance that they might come back to the ring later, even at the age that most mainstream athletes would long since have retired. There was a hope that some legends would be back in the ring later this year, but that does not seem likely. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He’s In: Update On WWE’s Plans For Sami Zayn Going Forward Wrestling Observer Radio has updates on Steve Austin and the Rock’s WrestleMania 39 statuses. Austin will not be wrestling on the show, despite reportedly being offered matches with Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. There is still the chance that Austin will appear at the show in some capacity, but he is not expected to be wrestling. The situation is about the same for the Rock, who is not expected to wrestle at the event, but could appear. Rock has apparently left the door open for a match at WrestleMania 40 in 2024. They have done t..

UPDATE: New Reports Deny Rumor Of WWE Being Sold To Saudi Arabia

So maybe not? We are in a very strange time for WWE as things are moving so fast that it is hard to keep track of everything. The difference this time is that it is at the very top of the promotion, with the future ownership being questioned. That has opened up a variety of options, but now it seems that one of the leading candidates may not be as close to control as expected. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: When Vince McMahon Could Appear On WWE TV Again Earlier this week, a rumor circulated that WWE had been sold to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which planned to take the company private again. However, new reports from Ariel Helwani of BT Sports, Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Jon Alba of Fite TV say that they have heard nothing of such a sale. At the moment, WWE has yet to comment on the story, though the company has been rumored to look at a sale in recent days. Contrary to reports stating otherwise last night, there is no deal in place at this precise moment for ..

Not So Fast? WWE’s Plans For Edge Seem To Have Changed

Maybe? There are a lot of moving pieces in WWE at the moment and it can be difficult to keep track of what is going on from time to time. It can be made even more difficult with WWE changing plans so often, as you never know what kind of things you will wind up seeing compared to the original plans. That seems to have happened again, possibly with a pair of upcoming shows. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: No More: Wrestling Couple Announces Official Separation According to Fightful Select, as of November, WWE’s plans for Edge called for him to face Finn Balor inside Hell In A Cell at the Royal Rumble. In addition, Edge and his wife Beth Phoenix were planned to face Balor and Rhea Ripley at Elimination Chamber. However, the limited dates remaining on Edge’s contract may have caused some issues and none of the matches were ever officially announced. Balor and the Judgment Day became #1 contenders to the Tag Team Titles this week on Monday Night Raw and there is nothing to suggest that Edge will ..

Backstage Updates on Potential Future WWE Returns

Might we see more? One of the defining traits of the Triple H era of WWE has been the return of several superstars that were released when Vince McMahon was in charge of the company. It would appear that more may be on the way. According to a report from Fightful Select, Chelsea Green has been under contract with WWE “for quite some time and is still awaiting creative.” This was after she was released from the company on April 15, 2021. Another indication that Green was headed to WWE was her recently shutting down her Onlyfans page. Green’s husband Matt Cardona, who competed as Zack Ryder in WWE, could be on his way back also; however, officials say that “Cardona is not signed, but that we shouldn’t rule anything out for the future.” Finally, Kylie Rae is reportedly still a free agent despite being brought in for a tryout and appearing on WWE Main Event. Editor’s Opinion: I, for one, would love to see Chelsea Green back. I always thought that she was incredibly talented and didn’t..

He Has A Take: Possible Problem With WWE Using Tyson Fury

He has some leverage. Wrestling has a long history of having athletes from other sports make appearances, often to great success. It makes sense for a wrestling company to want to bring in other athletes to see what happens when they step inside a wrestling ring. WWE has done this as well, but now one major sports name has an interesting way of looking at how he would be presented in the company. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Next Time? WWE Champion Pulled From Live Event Last month, a story broke about WWE wanting boxing’s Heavyweight Champion of the World Tyson Fury to appear at the Royal Rumble and then WrestleMania 39, though Fury is dealing with visa issues. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, one source is saying that Fury is unwilling to put people in WWE over or even look vulnerable during his appearances. There is no word on whether he would be able to be booked in a short Royal Rumble appearance that validates what the money WWE would have to pay him. There is no word ..

It might be a bit. There are all kinds of talented wrestlers on the AEW roster, who have come together to help make the company as popular as it is. That’s a lot. One of the most up and down stories of this year has been that of Sasha Banks. After walking out on WWE in May, Banks has still yet to return and as of last week, was reportedly “done” with the company. Update On Bandido’s AEW Deal, What Led Him To Sign

That’s a good reason. The rise of AEW has changed the way wrestling works in a lot of ways. One of the most important has been allowing a variety of wrestlers a new place to go, including some who have never gotten any exposure on a national stage. Wrestlers might be able to pick where they want to go and now we know why one of them made their own choice. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: AEW’s Television Future Could Be Very Promising Last month, reports surfaced that Bandido had come to terms with AEW despite having interest from WWE. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bandido chose AEW over WWE because he did not want to move from Mexico. Bandido has a partner and child in Mexico and working full time with WWE would not allow him to see them as often. Bandido’s deal is reportedly for three years and has a maximum number of dates included. Bandido started well in AEW. Check out his shot against Chris Jericho: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: That makes a lot..

WWE Stars To Wrestle For New Japan Pro Wrestling

Crossover? There are several wrestling promotions in the world but only a handful are among the top named companies. While WWE has been the top promotions in America for the last few decades, but there are others outside of the United States with deep histories of their own. Now the biggest promotion elsewhere will be getting something of a crossover with WWE. Earlier this week, the OC (Karl Anderson/Luke Gallows) made their return to WWE after a two year absence. The two have recently appeared for New Japan Pro Wrestling, where Anderson is still the reigning Never Openweight Champion. According to Fightful Select, the team will continue to make its dates with New Japan, which are scheduled to run through Wrestle Kingdom 17 in early January. WWE is allowing them to work the dates going forward. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that shows you how much wrestling is changing these days. It would be hard to fathom WWE allowing something like this to happen in recent years yet here they..

Sasha Banks Changes Twitter Handle; No Longer Includes WWE

She’s The Boss of something different. Sasha Banks caused a buzz on social media earlier today when she abruptly changed her Twitter handle. It had been previously reported that WWE was trying to mend fences with the two following the transition of power from Vince McMahon to Triple H, but nothing had been solidified. We will continue to monitor the story and provide updates as they become available. ..

Important Note On Suspended AEW Wrestlers

It’s a bonus punishment. AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works and that has been a good thing for fans. While AEW is a major promotion on the biggest stage, it also allows its wrestlers to work independent shows, allowing fans to see mainstream talent on smaller stages. That is a rather cool thing, but it is not going to be the case for some of those wrestlers for the time being. Earlier this month, a backstage brawl took place after AEW All Out, resulting in several suspensions. It is not clear when the wrestlers will be back, as AEW is still conducting an investigation. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the suspended wrestlers are not allowed to work independent dates while they are away from AEW. CM Punk, the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega are currently suspended, though Punk is unable to wrestle as he is recovering from tricep surgery. Opinion: They really didn’t have a choice here as you can’t have wrestlers suspended from AEW and getting to wrestle elsewh..

AEW Battle Of The Belts III Results

Battle Of The Belts III Date: August 6, 2022 Location: Van Andel Arena, Grand Rapids, Michigan Commentators: Taz, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone It’s time for another of these specials and I’m not sure what to expect from something like this. AEW does not seem to be the most interested in running these shows but that very well might have a lot to do with the shows being network mandates. At least we should get some good action so let’s get to it. TNT Title: Jay Lethal vs. Wardlow Lethal, with Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh, is challenging. Wardlow shoves him around to start and a big toss sends Lethal outside. Lethal gets in a cheap shot though and scores with an enziguri back inside. A tilt-a-whirl slam gets Wardlow out of trouble but Lethal knocks him outside for the suicide dive. That means Lethal can get in the strut before wrapping Wardlow’s leg around the post. We take a break and come back with Lethal having to escape the powerbomb. Instead Wardlow goes with a clothesline to turn Let..

Backstage News On Triple H’s Plans For WWE Roster

It’s time to shake things up again, but this time in a very different way. A new report from Fightful Select outlines some of the plans for the WWE roster now that Triple H has taken over for Vince McMahon and is now EVP of Talent Relations. According to the report, Triple H is just getting started, and a “feeling-out process” has taken place regarding talk of reshaping the roster. Other names to consider are Bray Wyatt, Johnny Gargano, John Morrison, Tegan Nox, and Tyler Breeze as they are WWE Superstars who are still believed to be free agents. See You Soon? Update On Ronda Rousey’s WWE Suspension

Update your schedules. WWE has a lot of major shows on its calendar and some of them are among the biggest of the year. That is going to be the case in September as WWE will be presenting its first stadium show in the United Kingdom in over thirty years. Such a show is going to need some top stars and that is going to be the case with a star currently missing from WWE TV. Earlier this week, WWE announced that Ronda Rousey was indefinitely suspended and fined due to attacking referees at Summerslam. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Rousey is currently scheduled to wrestle at Clash At The Castle on September 3, meaning that she is likely to be back on television before them. It is not known when Rousey will be back from her suspension, but it is likely to last less than a month. Opinion: Rousey has a tendency to be taken off of television for fairly long stretches at a time and that is probably due to her contract having a limited number of dates. Having her at one of the biggest..
