That Looked Awful: WWE Star Helped From Elimination Chamber, Falls Going Down Stairs

That could be bad. You never know when you are going to see an injury in wrestling. Someone can be in the middle of their match when something goes wrong and they get hurt. It can happen to anyone at any time and unfortunately all that can be done is wait to see just how bad things are. That was the situation again this weekend, as a WWE star seemed to get banged up during a major match. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Two SmackDown Stars Tease Big Heel Turn Saturday night at WWE’s Elimination Chamber event, Seth Rollins gave Montez Ford a Stomp onto the area of the Elimination Chamber outside of the ring. Ford was pinned shortly after but required help to get to his feet and leave. He would also fall down while being helped down the steps. Roman Reigns Addresses Rumors Of Facing The Rock At WrestleMania

Believe that. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was recently a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where he discussed a number of topics. The biggest was the rumors circulating that he would be facing The Rock at WrestleMania. Below is what Reigns had to say: “That’s been the rumors — there’s been a huge buzz on that for a long time now. I mean for years now. But it’s really picked up in the last couple of years. “I believe he just came out with a statement saying that he’s not gonna be ready in time, which — that’s the kind of face everyone’s making, like, ‘Hold on, he trains every single day… He’s huge!’ “To his defense, it’s one thing to train with weights, and the bodybuilding to look the part. But to be able to get in the ring and do a main event match — a championship match, an Undisputed WWE Universal championship match — it takes a lot of conditioning. It beats up your body. “So there’s more that goes into it than just training in the weight room… it’..

Something Positive: Excellent News On The Recovery Of Jay Briscoes’ Daughters

That’s a big step. The saddest wrestling story of the year so far has been the passing of Jay Briscoe, who was killed in a car crash earlier this week. Briscoe’s death was horrible enough, but on top of that, his two daughters were severely injured as well. Now though there is an update on their conditions and in this case, it is something much more positive for a change. Josh Wharton, a family friend of the Briscoes, uploaded a live stream on Friday with an update on Briscoe’s daughters. Gracie, 12 years old, regained movement in her lower limbs for the first time since the accident. She has also been removed from her IV medication and is recovering. Jayleigh, 9 years old, is now in a back brace and should be able to recover from her injuries over the next several weeks. The hospital had hoped that her NG tube could be removed on Saturday, allowing her to eat and drink as normal. Here is something a bit easier to take. Check out the Briscoes could do in the ring: [This post contain..

WATCH: Ronda Rousey On Feeling Disrespected By Fellow SmackDown Wrestler

She doesn’t sound pleased. Wrestling is a lot of things, but at the end of the day, it is not a secret that the match results are planned in advance. The wrestlers are real athletes and are putting in the effort whenever they are in the ring. There are a handful of stars who can legitimately take down just about anyone they care to, and now one of them does not seem happy with a fellow star. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It Could Happen: WWE Ready To Name WrestleMania 43 Venue If Major Condition Is Met Last week on SmackDown, Raquel Rodriguez interrupted the Shayna Baszler vs. Shotzi match, resulting in Baszler getting distracted and rolled up for the pin. It can happen to anyone. There are all kinds of injuries that can slow a wrestler down out of nowhere and unfortunately there is very little that can be done to prevent them. Adam Cole Explains Strange Moments Resulting From Medical Condition

That’s a rare one. There are all kinds of medical issues that can cause problems for wrestlers, some of which are rather common in the sport. At the same time, there are some that you do not see very often and those can make for some of the more interesting cases. That would apply to a major AEW star, who has revealed a medical issue he had to deal with earlier in his life. AEW’s Adam Cole recently appeared on the Wrestle Buddies podcast, where he discussed his previous issues with sleepwalking. Cole talked about how he suffered from the condition during his teenage years, occasionally waking up in strange places, such as face down on the floor. He also mentioned waking up in mid-conversation with someone and waking up to realize what was going on. Cole’s condition seems to have ended before he began his in-ring career in 2008. Opinion: Well that’s certainly unique. There are all kinds of problems in wrestling but Cole has one of the ones that you do not hear about very often. It’s g..

Robert Roode Undergoes Medical Procedure In Birmingham, Alabama

That’s a valid reason. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be easy to lose track of some of them. When someone goes away, you might miss them at first but then they have been gone so long that they are forgotten altogether. That is the situation with a current WWE star who has been missing for a good while but now we might know where he has been. WWE’s Robert Roode has revealed on Instagram that he underwent a medical procedure in Birmingham, Alabama this week. There is no word on what kind of procedure it was or how severe Roode’s condition was prior to the procedure. Roode has not wrestled since a live event on June 25 and there is no word on when he will be returning to the ring following his procedure. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Robert Roode (@realrobertroode) Opinion: That does explain a few things, as Roode has not been around for a rather long time now. It was weird not seeing him around whatsoever and hopefully he can be back in the ring sooner..

Former WWE Star Out Of Action With Very Unique Disease

That’s a unique one. There have been all kinds of injuries and issues that have kept wrestlers out of the ring over the years. Most of the medical issues you hear about are injury related, but sometimes a condition will pop up that makes things that much odder to hear. That seems to have been the case again, as a former WWE star is out of action for a pretty unique reason. New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that former WWE star Kushida will miss his scheduled match on Friday due to a case of hand, foot and mouth disease. Kushida was diagnoses with the disease after being looked at for a skin condition. There is no timetable for Kushida’s return to the ring. Kushida returned to New Japan back in June following a three year stint in WWE. Opinion: That is the kind of thing that you do not hear about very often and hopefully Kushida is back to normal a lot sooner rather than later. The disease can be a rather nasty one and Kushida will need some time off to recover. Kushida did well w..

More Details On Malakai Black’s AEW Release And Possible Future In Wrestling

Back and forth? The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works. There is suddenly a brand new company that has risen up to give wrestlers another top level place to go. That is something you only see happen once every several years and it is great to have it happening again. A lot of wrestlers have jumped over to AEW, but now one might be interested in going the other way. Over the last few weeks, AEW’s Malakai Black’s status with the company has changed. He has recently received a conditional release from the company, leaving the four and a half years he had on his contract. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Black wanted to return to WWE, but it is not clear how things will go due to his contract. However, it was noted that it was difficult to keep someone in a deal they do not want for four and a half years. Opinion: I’m really not sure what is going on here but it should be interesting to see where it goes. Maybe Black does want to return to WWE and this is the..

Big E Is Unsure If He Will Ever Wrestle Again

WWE superstar Big E was recently interviewed by Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, discussing his future in the ring. He gave an update on his condition and if he will ever return to the ring again: “That [whether he thinks he’ll ever wrestle again] I’m unsure of. I’ve also talked to a couple doctors who told me, ‘Hey, if you break this again, it could be even worse. It could be even more catastrophic,’ and these are spine specialists. “But now at 36, after working through a lot of those things, after being mentally healthier. Man, this job has allowed me to meet so many different people from so many walks of life and have so many different experiences, and now — I don’t know, man. I think of life after 36, and I see so many of the guys I grew up watching in wrestling. I think too of the athletes that I love who participated in MMA, or were boxers and you see them at 50, and you see their body ravaged. And that’s not the life that I want. “My hope is — I feel great now. And I’m grateful..

The List Keeps Growing: Another Possible Injury On AEW Dynamite

That didn’t look good. Wrestlers are asked to do a lot of things in the ring and some of them go more smoothly than others. You never know when you are going to see someone get hurt and put on the shelf, which leaves the question of just how long they are going to be gone. That seems to be the case again this week, as an AEW star seemed to get hurt during a match. This week’s AEW Dynamite featured a match between Dante Martin and Sammy Guevara. Late in the match, Martin was limping around the ring and seemed to land awkwardly when Guevara hit a springboard cutter. After Guevara won, Martin was looked at and helped from the ring. There is no word on the condition of Martin’s knee or how much, if any, time he might be missing as a result. There is also the chance that the injury was a storyline and not legitimate. Opinion: I hope Martin isn’t hurt, but the landing was more than a bit scary looking. It was bad enough to lose his brother to another knee injury and now he might have one o..

Possible Injury At AEW Battle Of The Belts II

That isn’t good. Injuries can derail anything in wrestling as you never know when you might see someone put on the shelf. A wrestler can get hurt at any point and take them out of action, no matter what they are doing or how talented they might be. Unfortunately that seems to be the case again, as a fairly prominent wrestler might have gotten hurt in a high profile match. According to Fightful Select, Ring Of Honor World Champion Jonathan Gresham was checked out for a concussion following his title defense against Dalton Castle at AEW Battle Of The Belts II. There is no word on Gresham’s condition or the results of the test. The potential injury was said to take place early in the match when Gresham took a gutwrench suplex from Castle. Opinion: You never want to see anything like this as any kind of injury and a concussion is one of the nastiest that you are going to see. What matters most is Gresham being ok, as this is the kind of thing that could keep him on the shelf for a long t..

Rick Boogs Injured At WrestleMania 38; Update On His Condition

That’s not good. On Saturday night, Rick Boogs suffered an injury during Night 1 of WrestleMania 38. He was teaming with Shinsuke Nakamura as they challenged Jimmy and Jey Uso for the SmackDown tag team championships. WWE.com is reporting the following: After being carried off following his SmackDown Tag Team Title Match Saturday night, it was determined that Rick Boogs suffered a torn quadriceps to the patella tendon. According to Dave Meltzer, this is a legitimate injury, and Boogs will be out of action for the foreseeable future. Early diagnosis on Boogs is torn quad. Hopefully it's not that bad. — Dave Meltzer (@davemeltzerWON) April 3, 2022 We will continue to monitor the situation and provide any updates as they become available to us. WWE Has Another Legend On Their Do Not Mention List

That’s pretty specific. There have been a lot of wrestlers throughout WWE’s history and some of them have made a bigger impact than others. Some names are remembered long after they have left the ring and those people will still be brought up again throughout the years. However, it seems that there are some names that WWE does not want to mention, not even during a special night. WWE Hall of Famer Torrie Wilson took part in a virtual signing for the Asylum Wrestling Store. During the signing, Wilson spoke about her Hall of Fame induction speech and revealed that she was not allowed to mention Sable. Wilson had included a mention of Sable in her speech as the two of them worked together during her career, but was told to leave it out. There is no word on why Sable was not allowed to be mentioned. Sable had two stints with the company, from 1996-1999 and from 2003-2005. She sued WWE in 1999 for sexual harassment and unsafe working conditions, with the case being settled out of court. O..

Wrestling World Reacts To Big E.’s Injury

They have his back. An injury can be a terrible thing to see and some of them can be among the worst things to happen to a wrestler. In the blink of an eye, someone’s career and oftentimes life can be changed in an awful way, which leaves a lot of questions to be answered. One of the few positives to come out of this can be the outpouring of responses, which is the case again. This week on SmackDown, Big E. fractured two of the vertebrae in his neck when he was suplexed on the floor. He has since released a pair of videos updating fans on his condition, including an announcement that he will not need surgery. The injury took place on live television and several wrestlers and wrestling personalities have responded to the situation via Twitter. Here are some of the reactions. One of the best humans in the world. I’m hoping you’ve been keeping it a secret that you have wolverine-esque healing powers. Thinking of you. AEW Interested In Introducing New Titles With One Condition

That might be what’s next. Titles are some of the most important things in all of wrestling as they are the perfect ground work for a feud. The winner (or winners) of a match getting a shiny gold belt (or belts) is a fine way to go and something that is still regularly used today. Sometimes you need a new one though and that might be the case soon, albeit after one other thing happens. AEW President Tony Khan held a media call this week and revealed that the company is interested in introducing trios titles, albeit not until Kenny Omega returns from injuries. Trios titles have been rumored for AEW since the company’s inception but nothing has ever been made official. There is no word on when Omega will be returning to the ring as he recovers from several surgeries. Opinion: This is something that has been rumored for so long that I won’t believe it until I hear an actual announcement. AEW has a good deal of titles already and while I’m not sure that these titles are the best idea, th..

SmackDown Star Out Of Action Due To Medical Issue

That would slow him down. The 2021 WWE Draft has come and gone and there were several changes made over the course of two nights. All kinds of wrestlers were moved from one show to another and we have now seen some of the moves become finalized as wrestlers have showed up on their new rosters. However, one of them will not be getting in the ring anytime soon for a good reason. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Ashante Thee Adonis of Hit Row will not be wrestling due to an unspecified medical condition. There is no word on what is wrong with Adonis or how long he will be held out of active competition. Adonis appeared last week on SmackDown, accompanying Hit Row to the ring for a tag match. Adonis’ most recent match took place on August 24. Adonis is a talented wrestler.
