Something Positive: Excellent News On The Recovery Of Jay Briscoes’ Daughters

That’s a big step. The saddest wrestling story of the year so far has been the passing of Jay Briscoe, who was killed in a car crash earlier this week. Briscoe’s death was horrible enough, but on top of that, his two daughters were severely injured as well. Now though there is an update on their conditions and in this case, it is something much more positive for a change. Josh Wharton, a family friend of the Briscoes, uploaded a live stream on Friday with an update on Briscoe’s daughters. Gracie, 12 years old, regained movement in her lower limbs for the first time since the accident. She has also been removed from her IV medication and is recovering. Jayleigh, 9 years old, is now in a back brace and should be able to recover from her injuries over the next several weeks. That’s a rare one. There are all kinds of medical issues that can cause problems for wrestlers, some of which are rather common in the sport. At the same time, there are some that you do not see very often and those can make for some of the more interesting cases. That would apply to a major AEW star, who has revealed a medical issue he had to deal with earlier in his life. AEW’s Adam Cole recently appeared on the Wrestle Buddies podcast, where he discussed his previous issues with sleepwalking. Cole talked about how he suffered from the condition during his teenage years, occasionally waking up in strange places, such as face down on the floor. He also mentioned waking up in mid-conversation with someone and waking up to realize what was going on. Cole’s condition seems to have ended before he began his in-ring career in 2008. Late in the match, Martin was limping around the ring and seemed to land awkwardly when Guevara hit a springboard cutter. After Guevara won, Martin was looked at and helped from the ring. That’s not good. On Saturday night, Rick Boogs suffered an injury during Night 1 of WrestleMania 38. He was teaming with Shinsuke Nakamura as they challenged Jimmy and Jey Uso for the SmackDown tag team championships. WWE.com is reporting the following: After being carried off following his SmackDown Tag Team Title Match Saturday night, it was determined that Rick Boogs suffered a torn quadriceps to the patella tendon. Boogs suffered the injury attempting to perform yet another stunning feat of strength with both Jimmy and Jey Uso on his shoulders when his leg gave out. Some names are remembered long after they have left the ring and those people will still be brought up again throughout the years. However, it seems that there are some names that WWE does not want to mention, not even during a special night. WWE Hall of Famer Torrie Wilson took part in a virtual signing for the Asylum Wrestling Store. During the signing, Wilson spoke about her Hall of Fame induction speech and revealed that she was not allowed to mention Sable. Wilson had included a mention of Sable in her speech as the two of them worked together during her career, but was told to leave it out. There is no word on why Sable was not allowed to be mentioned.
