And It’s Done: AEW Seemingly Drops Celebrity Storyline With No Explanation

What could have been. Celebrities have been around wrestling for years and it makes all the sense in the world. The idea is that the celebrity’s fans will come over to watch the wrestling events, or at least give the promotion some mainstream publicity for working with a celebrity. Sometimes there are flaws in the stories though and that seems to have taken place again. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Cameo: Wrestling Legend Competes In First Nationally Televised Match In 9 Years *SPOILERS* AEW has presented a feud between Jade Cargill and her Baddies and rapper Bow Wow on and off over the last few months. This included the team going to a Bow Wow concert and being thrown out, plus a pre-taped video from Bow Wow appearing on AEW Dynamite. However, in an interview with Bootleg Kev, Cargill suggested that the story is over. Cargill said “I don’t know what happened with it. Something was supposed to happen, it didn’t happen, and we moved on from the situation.” There is no word on if Bow Wow wil..

VIDEO: AEW’s Darby Allin Really Doesn’t Like A Table At A Concert

It’s his thing. AEW has done a lot of great things for the wrestling world and one of the best has been the introduction of new stars. The company has allowed some stars to get their first shot on a national stage and that has opened several eyes. Some wrestlers have done better than others with their chance and now one of them is getting to do his thing completely outside of the ring. AEW’s Darby Allin has released a video on Twitter showing him putting another man through a table at a Ludacris concert earlier this week. Allin attacked the other man and then splashed him onto a table, though he needed to do it twice to make the table break. Allin is currently scheduled to face Andrade El Idolo in a coffin match on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. He really doesn’t like that table. Check out the clip from the concert: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: Allin is one of the most unique stars in all of AEW and I’m curious to see what he can do going forward in the ..

VIDEO: Jeff Hardy Says He Is Going To AEW

I wonder if he has a bag packed. The rose of AEW has offered wrestlers another mainstream home outside of WWE. As a result, it can be fascinating to see who might be heading to AEW when they are given the chance. You will often hear rumors about one wrestler making the jump but now one of them is flat out saying that he is on his way to the company. A video has made its way online featuring Jeff hardy saying that he is going to AEW. The interview with Jared Myers took place backstage at one of Hardy’s recent concerts and features Hardy saying “I’m going to AEW. I’m so excited.” While not confirmed, Hardy has been rumored to be going to AEW since he left WWE back in December. His no compete clause continues until March 9, meaning he will not be seen for a few weeks. It’s a bit hard to hear but that’s what he said. Check out Hardy’s interview, with the AEW announcement coming at 7:17: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I’d hardly call this a surprise but it is still ..

WATCH: Biker Undertaker Makes Special Appearance Over The Weekend

It’s a family thing. Celebrities have long since been a part of wrestling and it can be quite the nice bonus. Sometimes those celebrities even get in the ring to see what they can do and no rare occasions, it can be quite the success. Those are some of the more impressive things you will see in wrestling and in a recent case, it seems that an all time wrestling legend wants to repay the favor. The Undertaker appeared at a Bad Bunny concert in Dallas, Texas over the weekend. Undertaker appeared in his American Bad*** persona and rode a motorcycle to the Kid Rock song of the same name to salute Bad Bunny in the middle of a song. After the appearance, Undertaker rode away. Bad Bunny has appeared multiple times for WWE over the last year and a half, including winning a tag team match at WrestleMania 37 and appearing in this year’s men’s Royal Rumble match. This was pretty awesome. Check out Undertaker’s show of respect: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is the kin..

Welcome back? There are various wrestling families who get your attention no matter what they are doing. In this case, a pair of wrestling brothers are back again, though in this case it comes after an incident that was not the greatest sight to behold. Last week, WWE officially released Jeff Hardy from his contract following an incident at a live event earlier in the month. In the second video, the Hardys promote some of Jeff’s upcoming concert dates. Jeff will be under a no compete clause in wrestling until March. It was a surpri..

VIDEO: Chris Jericho Out Of The Hospital, Gives Interesting Update

He’s out. Wrestlers are rather different than the majority of the fans who watch them, but there are quite a few similarities as well. Just like the fans, wrestlers have their own share of medical issues, some of which can be rather serious. Something can flare up out of nowhere, which was the case last week. Now though, we have a positive update on what has happened. Earlier this week, AEW’s Chris Jericho was hospitalized due to a non-Coronavirus related issue. However, Jericho has since updated his status via Twitter, revealing that he has been released from the hospital. In a YouTube video, Jericho has announced that his band Fozzy will continue its tour, albeit without him singing. Instead, their upcoming concert will feature the fans singing their two most famous songs as well as the debut of their latest album, Boombox, being played live. There is no word on when Jericho will be able to sing or wrestle again. Back on the streets…. pic.twitter.com/xAaJV6VYzh — Chris Jericho (@I..

Chris Jericho Hospitalized, Fozzy Concert Canceled

Get well soon. There are all kinds of reasons for a wrestler to miss a show and some of them are a lot more serious than others. You never know what might be taking place to cause someone to be gone and sometimes it can be rather scary to hear what is wrong with them. We’re Getting A Wrestling Musical Next Year

It’s a different way to go. Wrestling is a lot of things, but you will often hear it described as an art form. That might not be the most accurate description for a lot of people, but there is certainly an artistic element to the sport. Sometimes this can be more obvious than others, but now we are going to be seeing the artistic side of the sport displayed in a very different way. As announced in a press release, professional wrestling rock musical is scheduled to be released as a concert presentation in spring 2022, with hopes of a national tour in 2023. The musical, called The Last Match, is being produced by Tommy Fiero, owner if ISPW and Off-Broadway producer Jeremiah James. The play will tell the story of Ben Vengeance, the reigning World Champion, coming to the end of his career. Vengeance will be attempting to get the next generation ready, but something will cause problems. There is no word on any potential wrestlers being involved. How Chris Jericho Lost Over $100,000 On Wrestling And Then Got It Back

It can happen to…well probably just Jericho. There are certain stars in wrestling who are always doing something different. For some reason, they do not stick with the norm and are constantly finding some way to reinvent themselves. It can be fascinating to see what they think of next, but that does not mean it is always going to work. That was certainly the case with one first’s try at an idea. During a recent episode of his Talk Is Jericho podcast, Chris Jericho revealed that he lost six figures of money on his first Jericho cruise. The cruise, called the Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager At Sea, launched in October 2018 and featured a variety of concerts, wrestling and appearances, with Jericho footing the bill for paying everyone. The financial setup was changed for the second cruise, which allowed him to make up the loss and earn a profit. Jericho is planning his fourth cruise in the spring of 2022. The cruise was certainly different. Check out how it has gone over the years: [This post..

VIDEO: Undertaker In Saudi Arabia Before WWE Crown Jewel

That would be a surprise. WWE is currently in Saudi Arabia for this year’s Crown Jewel event. The show will be one of the biggest on WWE’s calendar and features one heck of a card. That should make for something very interesting and we could be in for quite the day. It can be fun to see who is going to show up and now we know someone else who will be around at the same time. Photos and videos have circulated online of Undertaker appearing in Saudi Arabia this week, as he introduced Pitbull for a concert. Undertaker wore his ring gear for the appearance, though there is nothing to suggest that he will be appearing WWE Crown Jewel. New CDC Recommendation Makes WrestleMania Seem Highly Unlikely

That doesn’t sound great. WrestleMania is coming up but at the same time, the show is looking less and less likely. The Coronavirus has wrecked havoc on the world, including on sporting events. That very well may cause WWE to be forced to cancel the event, even if they certainly do not want to. While WWE is fighting to keep the show going, there might be a new development slowing them down. One of the biggest things holding the entire situation back is the idea of having so many fans in a single place. A lot of locations have banned mass gatherings, including some with as low as 250 people. That can cause a problem as far as bringing in fans, but with WWE holding their events in empty arenas, it can be done. However, things may be about to get more complicated. According to CNBC.com, the Center For Disease Control has recommended a cancellation of events with fifty or more people for a period of eight weeks. This would include anything from concerts to sporting events to family gathe..

Video: Ric Flair Sings With Elias At Starrcade

That’s a special one. This weekend, WWE presented a special house show in the form of Starrcade. The original run of the show was the biggest event of the year for the NWA/WCW and was brought back last year for the first time since December 2000. The show was almost a tribute to WCW and the theme continued to a certain degree this year, including a special appearance from Ric Flair. Saturday night at Starrcade, Flair appeared for a concert with Elias. Before the singing began, the two of them talked for a bit with Flair saying he was a big fan of Elias and his music. He even said that Elias could have any woman in the company, save for Charlotte of course. The two of them were eventually joined by Tamina, Nia Jax, Alicia Fox and Mickie James. Here’s what happened: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is the kind of thing that makes such a show feel important and that’s what they were going for here. Flair was one of the stars of the show and it made for an entert..

Video: Enzo Amore Invades Survivor Series And Gets Ejected, Fan Injured In The Melee

It just never ends. Things wouldn’t feel right if Enzo Amore wasn’t in the news somehow. Since leaving the WWE back in January, Amore seems to do one thing after another, whether it’s good for him or not. This includes having a concert in his grandmother’s living room and getting kicked off of an airplane, but now he’s back in wrestling. Kind of. For one night only. And it didn’t go well. At Sunday’s Survivor Series, Amore, who was sitting in the second row, created a disturbance and was taken down and ejected by WWE security. The incident took place during the AOP vs. The Bar tag match and it was clear that the fans were distracted by something. According to PWInsider.com, a fan was injured during the incident, complaining of an arm injury. There is no word on her condition. Here’s What Could Bring The Rock Back Full-Time to WWE

Aside from a very brief match with Erick Rowan in Dallas, The Rock has not wrestled a full match since WrestleMania 29. He hasn’t even appeared on WWE television in over two years, but the WWE Universe continues to hope he will wrestle again eventually. Unfortunately, The Great One’s commitments to Hollywood and insurance policies make it very difficult for him to make an appearance unless he clears time in his schedule. On paper, there’s no reason for him to wrestle again, but here’s what could bring him back. Related: Vince McMahon Has Reportedly Canceled a ‘WrestleMania’ Concert With the Rock and Elias According to PWInsider Radio, Mike Johnson was speculating about The Rock’s future in wrestling and it’s clear the only thing that would bring him back to the squared circle would be The People’s Champion himself. If he wanted to wrestle another match, WWE officials would be over the moon because the company can always use his star power. The truth is The Great One can’t and won’t..
