The next generation. There are all kinds of wrestlers in the world and they come from a variety of backgrounds. Some of them come from other sports and others come in with quite the wrestling background. At the same time, there are a few who come from wrestling families, or at least have relatives in the industry. Now another is on his way to the big time. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: BREAKING: New Title Match Official For WrestleMania 39 According to Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, Colby Corino, the son of NXT trainer Steve Corino, has signed to WWE. Colby will reportedly be reporting to NXT “very soon”, possibly as soon as the beginning of March. This comes after Colby ended his deal with the NWA on January 1, making him a free agent. Colby was signed on his own and not as part of a recruitment class, as most new stars are brought in. There is potential here. Family Business: Second Generation Star Likely On Way To WWE, Joining His Father

He’s in. The WWE roster has quite the collection of talent but at some point, fresh names have to be brought in. The company can only get so far with the same wrestlers and it can be a big deal when someone new shows up. There are all kinds of places to get wrestlers from, including smaller promotions. Now it appears that a second generation star is making his way to WWE. Corino announced that his NWA deal expired earlier this year, allowing him to sign anywhere. There is no word on when Corino will officially sign with WWE or report to the Performance Center to begin training. Corino’s father Steve currently works for WWE as a trainer and NXT producer. The next generation. One of the most important things a wrestling promotion can do is make sure that there is fresh talent being brought in. At some point the older wrestlers have to be phased out of the spotlight with new stars being moved up. That does not work if the stars are not brought in at some point and now WWE might have their eyes on another second generation star. LOOK (With Caution): Wrestler Stabs Referee, Police Get Involved

It could have been worse. A lot of things happen in the wrestling world every day and some of them are a lot more serious than others. Unfortunately there are going to be a few things that are absolutely horrible and serious, including those involving someone’s health. That was the case with a recent incident, and now fans are being asked to help with the situation. Over the weekend, a referee was stabbed by a wrestler during the World Class Revolution “Christmas Star Wars” event in Irving, Texas. The match’s original plan did call for the wrestler, Devon Nicholson, to attack the referee, Lando Deltoro, but the situation went further than planned. According to fellow referee Colby Cowperwaithe (who was at the event but not the attacked referee) via Reddit, Deltoro was supposed to cut himself, but his blade did not work. Instead, Nicholson cut Deltoro but went far too deep and cut Deltoro’s artery. Cowperwaithe also believes that Nicholson was intoxicated during the match. In addition..
