He’s Managing: Wrestling Legend Reportedly Negotiating Authors Of Pain’s Possible WWE Return

It’s a different job. Managers have been around wrestling for decades and they have long since served an important purpose. A manager often serves as a wrestler’s mouthpiece and gets the fans to care about him more than the wrestler can make happen on their own. Occasionally an on-screen manager has some off-screen responsibilities and now a former WWE manager might be helping some old clients. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Could be Worse: Update On Montez Ford’s Health After WWE Elimination Chamber Earlier this year, reports surfaced saying that WWE had an interest in bringing the Authors of Pain back to the company. According to Fightful Select, the team has a strong sense of loyalty to their former manager Paul Ellering, who would actually be negotiating any possible return. Ellering managed the team in NXT but they were split when the team debuted on Monday Night Raw. The team was quite the force. WRESTLING RUMORS: Big Change To Upcoming WWE Stable

Change of plans. There are a lot of wrestlers in WWE today and it makes sense to have the company put some of them together into one stable. It is a fine way to get a lot of people on the show at once and that is what WWE has been doing for a long time now. That seems to be what they are doing again, though this time it might be something a little bit different than originally planned. Last week, Max Dupri, formerly known as LA Knight, made his SmackDown debut and mentioned that he was in charge of a male modeling agency. This was a slight change from what Knight had been doing in SmackDown dark matches where Knight had introduced his various clients. This included Mansoor and Mace, but according to Wrestlingnews.co, Vince McMahon has decided that the two will not be joining the new stable. The stable is coming, but it will have different members. Opinion: This is one of those changes that probably only makes sense for McMahon, as the stable had been set up but only in segments that ..

WATCH: NXT Star Debuts On SmackDown With New Name And Character

Whoever you are. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be difficult to make someone stand out. There are ways to make someone more of a success than others, but it is quite the trick to get everything working. WWE knows what it is doing a lot of the time though and hopefully that is the case again, as a new name has joined the main roster as of this week. This week’s edition of SmackDown saw the debut of Max Dupri, who described himself as the head of a male modeling agency. Sonya Deville signed Dupri before she was relieved of her position, meaning Adam Pearce did not know Dupri was coming. Dupri is better known as LA Knight, who had been appearing in dark segments before recent editions of SmackDown, where he debuted various clients, such as Mansoor and T-Bar. There is no word on why WWE made the name change. This is a different way to go. Check out the debut: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: One of these days, I would love a full on explanation for ..

WATCH: New WWE Stable Gains A Member Before This Week’s SmackDown

Welcome to the team? One of the easiest ways to present several wrestlers at the same time is with a stable. The idea is something that has been done decades in wrestling and it still works to this day. You can take several wrestlers and put them together under a concept that could be either simple or more complex but it will often be a useful move. That might be the case again with some WWE stars. Last week, NXT star LA Knight appeared in a dark segment where he announced the Knight Model Management stable. Knight introduced Mace as his first client and helped him win a match. This week, Knight introduced Mansoor as the second member of the stable before SmackDown began. There is no word on if or when the team might debut on television. Knight last appeared in NXT at Stand & Deliver on April 1. This does have potential. Check out how the new member of the team looked: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is one of those ideas that could go somewhere if they hav..

NXT Star Appears Before SmackDown In A Very Different Role

There might be a place for him. Wrestlers have a lot of things to cover every time they are in front of an audience. While the focal point is going to be in the ring, there are other things that need to be done as well. One of the most important is the ability to talk, as fans need a reason to care about someone. Now we might be seeing a new talker coming up to the main roster soon. According to PWInsider.com, NXT’s LA Knight appeared in a dark segment before this week’s edition of SmackDown. Knight appeared in a suit and announced that he was creating Knight Model Management as a manager rather than a wrestler. He introduced Mace as his first client and helped him defeat Erik. This is seen as a tryout for a potential managerial role for Knight on the main roster. Opinion: While I’m disappointed in Knight only being brought up to the main roster for his talking abilities, it’s better than having him languish down in NXT any longer. Knight is a talented guy and someone who is able to ..

They make a great team. There are certain pairings in wrestling that just work better than others. Some of them get your attention no matter what they are doing because they are just that good at what they do. You don’t get to see them very often these days, but there is still one prominent team around, and now WWE is giving their history some extra attention. Last week’s edition of Monday Night Raw saw Paul Heyman reunite with his client, the new WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. This marks another pairing of the two, who have worked together on and off since Lesnar debuted in 2002. As a result, WWE is looking back at the Top 10 Lesnar and Heyman moments, which include various entries from throughout their history together, ranging from Lesnar’s WWE debut to earlier this year. Universal Championship Match Set For Hell in a Cell 2021

It’s all about family. Since becoming the Universal Champion last year, Roman Reigns has made a big deal about the importance of family. He will have the opportunity to show that at the upcoming 2021 Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, which happens to take place on Father’s Day. This past week on Smackdown, Rey Mysterio challenged Roman Reigns to a match for the title at Hell in a Cell. This morning on Talking Smack, Paul Heyman accepted the challenge on behalf of his client. You can see the clip below: [This post contains video, click to play] From WWE.com: The elder Mysterio confronted The Head of the Table on SmackDown after the Universal Champion’s brutal attack on his son Dominik. Father and son launched a Kendo stick attack that Reigns narrowly escaped. The Mysterios have carried a target on their backs as SmackDown Tag Team Champions, but the father-son duo always head into battle shoulder to shoulder. On the other side, Reigns has seen the reemergence of Jimmy Uso draw a line b..

Rumor Killer On Possible Kevin Owens Storyline

Well so much for that. Stories come in and out all over the place in wrestling and it’s hard to say what’s actually true or false. There’s always the chance that something is already slated to happen and then things change in a heartbeat. Then there are times where the story was never accurate in the first place. One of those things may have happened now and it sounds like a good story is off the table. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is no truth to the rumor that Kevin Owens will be the next Paul Heyman Guy. At the moment Heyman doesn’t have a client and Owens “quit” WWE earlier this week on Monday Night Raw. WWE has even played up the idea that Owens is done by moving him over to their Alumni Section on WWE.com. There is no word on when Owens will be back on TV. Doesn’t he look like he needs someone? [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I hope the rumor killer is wrong as is could have been a lot of fun if they were allowed to work together. C..

NXT "Fades To Black" As Aleister Black Has Become The New NXT Champion

"The Devil" is finally off of his back. His journey to the NXT Championship has been one that has had many of pit tops. But tonight at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans Aleister Black has removed the devil off of his back that he says has been there for quite some time now. His quest for success would not come easy as he had to not only get through the battle-tested and hungry NXT Champion Andrade "Cien" Almas, but also deal with Andrade's manger Zelina Vega. She did it again... ...but it's NOT ENOUGH to help @AndradeCienWWE put away @WWEAleister! #NXTTakeOver #NXTChampionship @Zelina_VegaWWE pic.twitter.com/RW2b4oAeyi — WWE Universe (@WWEUniverse) April 8, 2018 Zelina Vega attempted to put the finishing touches on the match so that her client could overcome "The Dutch Destroyer"; as she went in for a cross-body onto Aleister Black but Black ducked under. Vega landed in the arms of her client which may not have been a bad thing at that moment in time, but as soon as Almas turned..
