WWE Announces King and Queen of the Ring 2023 Event

New royalty will be crowned. WWE has issued the following press release, announcing the 2023 King and Queen of the Ring event: The General Entertainment Authority, in cooperation with WWE, has announced that WWE King and Queen Of The Ring will be held at the Jeddah Superdome, the world’s largest pillarless Superdome, on Saturday, May 27, 2023. WWE King and Queen Of The Ring is happening in Jeddah, alongside a host of additional exciting events happening in Jeddah throughout the year. This marks the first King Of The Ring Premium Live Event to be held since 2015 and the first crowning of a Queen since the inaugural Queen’s Crown Tournament which took place at WWE Crown Jewel in Riyadh in 2021. They had a plan for that. We are less than forty days away from WrestleMania 39 and WWE has set up the main event. Cody Rhodes is set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title, but there is a bit of a wild card in the whole situation. That would be Sami Zayn, who has become one of the most popular stars in WWE. It seems that the company had a way to deal with the situation though and it was on display this week. Vince McMahon Reportedly Planning WWE Comeback

He might not be done? This has been one of the busiest wrestling years in history with several game changing stories taking place. The biggest of them all has been Vince McMahon’s retirement from WWE. For the first time in nearly forty years, a new regime is in charge of WWE and that is leading to even more changes. However, we might not entirely be done with the old regime. While several wrestlers will win championships at some point in their career, they will ultimately lose them at some point. That leaves few honors that last forever, but now another group of wrestlers will be receiving such praise. It’s worth looking at again. There are a lot of recurring ideas throughout the history of WWE and some of them are around more often than others. WWE often adds a prize to the competition, usually in the form of a title or a shot at a title down the line. It can be a lot of fun to hear about one of those ideas coming back and now WWE seems set to bring back another of them. According to WrestleVotes by way of GiveMeSport, WWE is considering bringing back King Of The Ring as a stand alone event in 2023. That would mean that the entire tournament would take place in one night, with no matches taking place on regular television, as was the case in the original pay per view versions. LOOK: Seth Rollins Switches Back To Classic Appearance On Monday Night Raw

Call it a flashback? There are several aspects that come together to make a wrestler into a star. While a good many of them come together when someone is in the ring or on the microphone, there are some aspects that you can see just by looking at a wrestler. The “look” is one of the most important qualities a wrestler can have and now one of the bigger stars in WWE has changed their look. This week on Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins defeated Austin Theory in a singles match. Rollins wrestled the match while sporting a different appearance than usual, as he had dyed part of his hair blond rather than the usual all black look. The changed look is more similar to Rollins’ original look when he was part of the Shield. There is no word on why Rollins made the change or if this is a permanent switch. It’s pretty notable.
