WWE Star Reveals Recent Surgery Keeping Him Out Of The Ring
That explains it. There are all kinds of reasons for wrestlers to be out of the ring for an extended period of time and most of them are not the best. One of the most common is an injury, some of which have been built up over time, leaving people wondering when the injured wrestler will be back. Now we know the reason why a WWE star is gone and the waiting game has begun. This week on Monday Night Raw, the Miz asked if anyone had seen Tommaso Ciampa recently, with Johnny Gargano responding that Ciampa was missing due to surgery. Ciampa posted to Instagram, announcing that he has undergone surgery to repair a torn hip labrum. There is no word on when he will be cleared to return to the ring. WWE Explains The Absence Of Two Monday Night Raw Stars
They need some time. There are all kinds of reasons to take someone off of a television show. It could be for anything from an injury to someone needing some time to be freshened up a bit. WWE does this on a regular basis and that is what they have done in two different ways with a pair of wrestlers, both of which were announced on the same television show. WWE seemingly wrote off or explained the absences of two wrestlers this week on Monday Night Raw. First, the Miz mentioned Tommaso Ciampa missing during a promo, with Johnny Gargano responding that Ciampa was not missing, but rather injured. Ciampa has not wrestled since a live event on September 17. It is not clear what is wrong with him or when he will be back. Later in the show, Damage Ctrl attacked Candice LeRae, with commentary later announcing that LeRae had suffered a shoulder injury. There is no word on when LeRae will be returning to the ring. Opinion: This is what has to be done every now and then and the question instan..

FULL MATCH: Title Match Takes Place After This Week’s WWE SmackDown
The evening was young. There are a lot of wrestlers under the WWE banner but there is only so much television time for all of them to share. On occasion that is not going to be enough to go around but WWE is known for putting on some more material after the cameras go off. That was the situation again this week as WWE was able to get in a dry run of an upcoming title match. As seen on Twitter, this week’s post SmackDown dark match saw United States Champion Bobby Lashley successfully defend his title against Ciampa. This is the same match that will be taking place next week on Monday Night Raw, after Ciampa earned the shot in a series of matches on this week’s show. Neither Lashley nor Ciampa appeared on SmackDown as they are both Monday Night Raw stars. There is a lot to this. Check out the full match from after SmackDown: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is the kind of thing that makes sense for WWE, as the two of them getting to put in some practice befor..

He Has A Chance: This WWE Star Is Likely To Benefit From Triple H Taking Over
Call it a hope spot? WWE has changed quite a bit in recent weeks and those changes are likely to continue for the time being. This has centered around Vince McMahon stepping away from the company with Triple H taking over as head of talent relations and creative. That means some people are going to be getting a chance that they have not received before and that was on display this week. According to Fightful Select, Ciampa is expected to benefit from Triple H’s rise to power in WWE. Ciampa was a top star in NXT when Triple H was in charge and that is expected to be the case again on the main roster. This week on Monday Night Raw, Ciampa won a pair of matches to become the new #1 contender to the United States Title, with high shot against Bobby Lashley coming next week. It’s A Special Case: Monday Night Raw Match Ends Due To Secret Rule
That’s the reason. Wrestling is a lot of things, but it is supposed to be presented as a sport. That means following various rules and regulations, with most matches following the same ones. On occasion there will be a match with something changed for a special situation, but this time around things were even more out there, as a match ended due to a rule that few know about. This week on Monday Night Raw, AJ Styles and Ezekiel defeated the Miz and Ciampa via disqualification when the illegal Ciampa attacked AJ Styles. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this was due to a secret rule in WWE. In a tag match, a wrestler is allowed to make one illegal save, with the second drawing a disqualification. Ciampa was making his second save and was disqualified as a result. Opinion: I’m not sure I get why this is a secret rule. If someone is making an illegal save, isn’t that breaking a rule by definition? This doesn’t sound so much like a secret as much as it sounds like being a bit tediou..

Team Up: New Alliance Formed On Monday Night Raw
Put them together and what have you got? There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster and it can be difficult to keep track of all of them. At some point they need to do something to make them stand out and that is not always easy. Not having the right story or gimmick can be quite the mess but now two stars seem to have joined forces, at least for the time being. This week’s Monday Night Raw, AJ Styles defeated the Miz in a singles match. After the match was over, Ciampa attacked Styles, with Miz joining in. Miz and Ciampa then shook hands, suggesting that the two had formed an alliance. This comes after Ciampa has attacked various wrestlers in recent weeks, though the two had worked together in a limited capacity in May. Opinion: I’m not sure where this is going but at least Ciampa is doing something. That being said, this feels like a way for Miz to have a partner to face Logan Paul, perhaps at Summerslam, and there is a good chance that Ciampa takes the fall in the match. Maybe..

Monday Night Raw Date: June 27, 2022 Location: Sames Auto Arena, Laredo, Texas Commentators: Corey Graves, Byron Saxton, Jimmy Smith It’s a very special night as John Cena is here to celebrate twenty years (to the day) of his WWE debut. This is also the go home edition of Raw for Money In The Bank, meaning it’s time to build momentum, establish dominance, and maybe even come up with an original tagline for what the participants are doing. Add It On: New Title Match Set For WWE Hell In A Cell
Add it to the card. We are less than a week away from Hell In A Cell and the card has some work to be done. There are only so many matches announced so far and there is a lot more space that needs to be filled. This includes a variety of title matches, as there was only one title match set coming into this week. Now one of those spots has been filled as a new title match has been added. This week on Monday Night Raw, a United States Title match was added to the Hell In A Cell card, as Mustafa Ali will challenge Theory for the title. Theory interfered in an Ali vs. Ciampa match to give Ali the win via DQ, earning Ali a title shot in the future. After attacking Ali more, Theory said the match could take place right now. Theory beat Ali in less than two minutes but Adam Pearce said they could have a rematch at Hell In A Cell. Opinion: This is a story that has been built up for a few weeks now and they have finally set up the big title match. I wouldn’t have had Ali lose the match this w..

Update On The Future Of Edge’s Judgment Day Stable
Join the club. There have been all kinds of stables in WWE history and some of them have been a lot more successful than others. They are the kind of thing that can do a lot of good things for several people at once and that makes them all the more interesting. WWE has a few of them going at the moment and now one of them might be about to get another member added. Back at WrestleMania 38, Damian Priest joined forces with Edge in a new team. The group would later become known as The Judgment Day, with Rhea Ripley being added to the team at WrestleMania Backlash. According to PWInsider.com, there has been talk of adding a fourth member to the team, though no name was mentioned. When the stable was originally considered, Ciampa was mentioned as a possible member along with Ripley but he has not yet joined the team. There is no word on if he still will in the future. WWE Sends Confusing Message About New Monday Night Raw Star (MINOR Spoiler)
Do they even know? WWE may be the most powerful wrestling promotion in the world, but there are some criticisms that you will see about the company. One of the most common is that WWE changes plans on a frequent basis, which can cause issues when it comes to storylines. That seems to be the case again, as one WWE star seems unable to make up his mind. According to Fightful Select, Ciampa defeated Apollo Crews during this week’s WWE Main Event taping. Ciampa reportedly wrestled the match as a babyface despite being presented as a heel during his two most recent appearances on Monday Night Raw. There is no word on if this is a new direction for Ciampa or if WWE is going in two different ways on the two different shows. Opinion: That’s about as WWE of a story as you can get, as the company is literally changing their minds by the hour. I’m not sure how much of a difference an appearance on Main Event really makes for Ciampa’s future, but it would be nice to have some consistency with th..

Who? Another Long Time WWE Star Gets A Name Change
That’s him. WWE has a lot of resources and one of its biggest is having its own developmental territory in NXT. The company is able to bring up wrestlers who have been appearing on national television whenever they want to but WWE has a bit of a strange habit of changing things up about them in the process. That seems to be the case again with an NXT legend. Tommaso Ciampa was officially called up to Monday Night Raw earlier this month and became part of the roster. Ciampa appeared on this week’s show when he attacked the returning Mustafa Ali. During the attack, Ciampa was referred to by his last name only, suggesting that his first name had been dropped. In addition, earlier on Monday, TVA Sports Quebec’s Kevin Raphael said that Ciampa had lost the Tommaso name. This comes after WWE has shortened over names in recent weeks. Tommaso Ciampa is now only Ciampa. Effective immediately. — Kevin Raphael (@kevinraphael21) April 25, 2022 Opinion: For the life of me I wish WWE would drop ..

WWE Star Makes Surprise Return After Six Months, Already Has Multiple Issues
Good to see you again. There are certain things that you learn watching wrestling and one of the biggest is to never say never. No matter what is going on in the wrestling world, there is (almost) always a chance that it can be reversed. Someone can let anger go, a company could change its mind or something else could happen to get rid of an issue. That seems to be the case again. This week on Monday Night Raw, Mustafa Ali made his return to WWE television after a six month absence. Ali appeared during a MizTV segment in hopes of challenging Theory for the United States Title. Instead he fought and defeated the Miz, only to be jumped by Tommaso Ciampa after the match. Ali was returning after a hiatus due to a backstage argument with Vince McMahon over his character’s future, leading to Ali requesting his release from the company. Opinion: I didn’t think I would see this again and yet here it is, with Ali not only returning but dealing with multiple people at once. Maybe this doesn’t ..

NXT Legend Makes Official Monday Night Raw Debut
Welcome to the team. There are a lot of people on the WWE roster, to the point where WWE can break them up into multiple groups. That includes individual rosters for Monday Night Raw, SmackDown and NXT. It can mean a lot when someone moves from one roster to the other, especially after it is a long time in the making. We got to see it again this week with a major name. This week on Monday Night Raw, Tommaso Ciampa was officially announced as the newest member of the roster. Ciampa appeared in a backstage segment where Ezekiel welcomed him to the show before Kevin Owens came in to yell at Ezekiel. This comes after Ciampa wrestled his last match in NXT at Stand & Deliver. He has wrestled on Monday Night Raw on occasion in the past, but always as part of the NXT roster. Opinion: This is the kind of move that you knew was coming but it is still a bit weird to see. Ciampa has been such a mainstay of NXT that it is hard to imagine him wrestling anywhere else, though I’m glad to see him get..
