WATCH: Max Caster Messes Up Rap During AEW Rampage Taping (And It’s Funny)

It’s not easy. Wrestling is a very tricky art form to master and there are all kinds of different issues that can make things all the more complicated. In addition to the matches themselves, there is everything else that the wrestlers have to do in front of the live fans. Every now and then you are going to see something go wrong and now we have a clip that you will probably not see on television. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It’s Broken: AEW Sets New Record With This Week’s AEW Dynamite This week on AEW Dynamite, a segment involving the Acclaimed was announced for this week’s edition of Rampage. As Rampage was taped after Dynamite, a clip of the Acclaimed’s entrance has surfaced online, featuring Max Caster doing one of his customary raps. However, this time Caster messed up the first verse of his rap and had to start over. Caster and Billy Gunn acknowledged the error and then redid the entrance. Rampage Date: December 30, 2022 Location: 1st Bank Center, Broomfield, Colorado Commentators: Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, Paul Wight We’ll close out the AEW year with this and as is often the case around here, Orange Cassidy is defending the All-Atlantic Title. This time though, it’s against his friend Trent Beretta. That could go in a few directions and on top of that, we’ll be hearing from Jon Moxley about something. Let’s get to it. In Memory Of Don West. Opening sequence. All-Atlantic Title: Orange Cassidy vs. Trent Beretta Cassidy is defending, Chuck Taylor/Danhausen are on commentary and Kip Sabian is on commentary. The main events here are MJF challenging Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title and Chris Jericho defending the Ring Of Honor World Title in a four way match. Let’s get to it. LOOK: NXT Stars Get Creative In Halloween Costume Battle Royal

Tis the season. Wrestling is about having fun and entertaining the fans in one way or another. There are multiple ways to do just that and some of them are a lot goofier than others. At times, the best thing that can be done is just do something entertaining without trying to be overly serious. That took place again this weekend as an annual tradition was brought back. NXT brought back its Halloween costume battle royal over the weekend at a live event in Melbourne, Florida. The match included several women competing for an NXT Women’s Title shot against Mandy Rose in the show’s main event. Thea Hail, who was dressed as Andre Chase, won the battle royal but lost to Rose in the title match. Halloween Havoc 2022 Date: October 22, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Booker T We’re back to the themed shows and this one has some potential, if nothing else for the set alone. How WWE waited twenty years to bring this back is beyond me, but we could be in for a very fun show this week. Or it’s going to be a big crossover between NXT and Chucky because he has to be around every year. Let’s get to it. Chucky welcomes us to the show and runs down the card. Hosts Shotzi and Quincy Elliott welcome us to the show. North American Title: Oro Mensah vs. Wes Lee vs. Carmelo Hayes vs. Nathan Frazer vs. Von Wagner Ladder match for the vacant title. Dynamite Date: October 18, 2022 Location: Heritage Bank Center, Cincinnati, Ohio Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz We’re here for a big show as there are several titles on the line. The main event will see Jon Moxley defending the World Title against Hangman Page, with MJF hanging over their heads. The Trios Titles and the Interim Women’s Title are on the line too as the card is rather stacked. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Trios Titles: Death Triangle vs. Best Friends/Orange Cassidy Death Triangle is defending. Trent shoulders Pac down to start and they trade some jumps until Trent hits a clothesline. Everything breaks down and Fenix hits a heck of a Swanton for two on Chuck, who is back up to toss Fenix into something like a spear. The series does not seem to be a priority for AEW but the action tends to be rather good. This is also a live show so maybe things can be picked up a little bit from its usual status, which would be appreciated. Let’s get to it. All-Atlantic Title: Trent Beretta vs. Pac Pac is defending and is still in the ring after wrestling in the 20+ minute Rampage main event. Wedding bells will soon be ringing! NXT superstar Mandy Rose recently announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend and former NXT superstar Tito Sabbatelli. She won the title back in October when she defeated Raquel González in a Chucky’s choice Trick or Street Fight match. He has some experience. There are some things that you will see in wrestling which you just do not see happening in other sports. That can often be due to the ring itself, which is quite the complicated setup. Sometimes it can be due to something literally falling apart, which took place at a recent WWE show. Now another WWE star is having a good time with the accident. Last week, Bobby Lashley narrowly escaped a very bad situation when the top rope broke and he crashed out to the floor. Lashley was ok following the crash and continued the match against Drew McIntyre. This week features an eight man tag, a ten man tag and a submission match, which is quite the use of an hour. This show can go in more than a few ways and hopefully they go in a good one this week. I chuckled. Comedy in wrestling is one of the trickiest things to pull off, but when it works out, it can work out very well. WWE has a hit or miss history with comedy, but they do manage to find something that works every now and then. They do their thing more often than some promotions and now we are getting to see what WWE thinks is their best recent material. WWE has released a new video looking at the Top Ten Funniest Moments of 2021. The list includes a mixture of segments from television and pay per views with nothing from NXT. WATCH: Surprising Return Takes Place On AEW Dynamite

Welcome back. There are a lot of wrestlers on the AEW roster and several of them have quite the fan base. Some of them pop up more often than not and that can make for some rather fun moments. It can be even better if someone who has been gone for a long time is getting to make a special return. That was the case this week and it was a heck of a surprise. This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite featured a tag team match between the Young Bucks and Chuck Taylor/Rocky Romero. After the match was over, the Bucks and Adam Cole continued attacking Taylor and Romero. Eventually a van drove into the arena and the returning Trent Beretta came in for the save. Beretta has been out of action since April after neck surgery. There is no word on when he will be returning to the ring. It was a cool moment. Last year’s edition did rather well but now we need to see if they can do the same with the new cast. The main event is Tommaso Ciampa defending the NXT Title against Bron Breakker, plus a bunch of Spin The Wheel, Make The Deal matches. Let’s get to it. Chuckie as in from the Child’s Play movies, welcome us to the show and runs down part of the card. WATCH: Very Special Guest Announced For Halloween Havoc

It’s been done. Wrestling is a unique form of entertainment, as it exists in its own bubble, with a unique presentation that makes it feel different than anything else. It is rare to see wrestling cross over with over forms of entertainment, but it certainly can make for some unique situations. That is what we are going to be seeing again next week in a bit of corporate synergy. The USA Network has announced that Chucky, the doll from the Child’s Play franchise, will be guest starring on the October 26 Halloween Havoc special edition of NXT. There is no word on what Chucky will be doing on the show. This will be the second time that Chucky has appeared on a wrestling show, as he appeared on WCW Monday Nitro on October 12, 1999. All Out 2021 Date: September 5, 2021 Location: Now Arena, Chicago, Illinois Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone We’re back to the still fairly rare AEW pay per view schedule with an absolutely stacked show. There are three major matches this time around, including CM Punk vs. Darby Allin, Chris Jericho vs. MJF and Kenny Omega defending the World Title against Christian Cage. Let’s get to it. Buy-In: Hardy Family Office vs. Orange Cassidy/Wheeler Yuta/Chuck Taylor/Jurassic Express Matt Hardy shoves Taylor into the corner because he wants Orange. He gets Luchasaurus instead so Jack Evans gets a rather fast tag. Luchasaurus sends Evans flying with a suplex and it’s off to Boy to send Evans into the corner. Quen and Yuta come in, with the former getting two off a running crossbody. We get the big sequence of most of the people trying a hold at the same time to as much avail as you would expect. Several Changes Made To AEW All Out Card

Get your scorecards ready. We are less than a week away from AEW’s All Out and that means the card is all but ready to go. The company can still come up with a few changes though, and it can be made even worse if the changes are not something AEW exactly wants to do. That seems to be the case again, as three matches have been changed in the span of a day. AEW President Tony Khan announced that the scheduled All Out match between Pac and Andrade El Idolo has been postponed due to travel issues. While not confirmed by AEW, El Idolo is teasing a match against a mystery opponent at the pay per view. In addition, the Casino Battle Royal has been moved to the main card. Finally, a new Buy-In Show match has been added to the card, with Chuck Taylor/Wheeler Yuta/Orange Cassidy/Jurassic Express vs. the Hardy Family Office.
