That could make things awkward. Wrestling has changed quite a bit in the last few decades, as WWE has allowed wrestlers to stay in one place for a lot longer than they might have back in the territory days. One of the most important has been allowing a variety of wrestlers a new place to go, including some who have never gotten any exposure on a national stage. Good For Them! WWE Personality Announces His Wife Is Expecting First Child
That’s pretty awesome. There are all kinds of people in the wrestling world and all of them have lives going on outside of the ring that we rarely see. They have the same kind of lives that we do, including some things that can be rather positive to hear. Now another WWE personality has some more great news and is sharing his family’s announcement with the world. WWE broadcaster Pat McAfee and his wife Samantha have announced that they are expecting their first child in may. Samantha revealed that she has lost two pregnancies in the past and this one was conceived via IVF. Pat thanked everyone who has helped them through the rough times to get to this point, including friends and family. Pat is currently on hiatus from his job as SmackDown commentator and is expected back after college football season ends. After about 150 shots, a surgery, a transfer, countless blood tests, waiting on embryos, genetic testing, hoping for a big fat positive on a pee stick. So much support from family..

WATCH: Former WWE Stars Announce Pregnancy (This Is So Sweet)
There’s the next generation. There are a lot of wrestlers in the world today though some of them are away from the ring at times. Those wrestlers are still waiting to get back to the ring at some point, but there are things that can slow them down. Some of those things are very good news though and that is the case again, as two wrestlers have a very positive announcement. AEW star Shawn Spears and former WWE and Impact Wrestling star Cassie Lee (better known as Peyton Royce) have announced that they are expecting a child. The video shows Spears opening a gift and seeing something inside that tells him Lee is pregnant. An ultrasound photo is also shown, along with photos of Spears hugging Lee’s stomach. WATCH: Triple H Had No Idea Who Logan Paul Was Before He Came To WWE
It’s quite the introduction. Celebrities have a strange history when it comes to wrestling. There have always been famous people coming inside the wrestling bubble and at times, it can draw in an extra audience. That is a tricky balance to find though, as you do not want a celebrity with a small following taking up too much time. WWE has tried to find that balance, and now they may have again with a famous star. He just might not be famous to everyone. Triple H appeared on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast and revealed that he had never heard of Paul when approached about Paul appearing for WWE. Drew McIntyre Wants To Bring Back A WWE Attitude Era Championship
It worked before. Titles are a simple concept in wrestling, but they are perhaps the most important thing a company can have. A wrestler holding a title will instantly be seen as more important and it can be their first step up the ladder. Some titles are seen as less valuable than others, but now a top WWE star wants to bring back one of the less important ones for a simple purpose. During a new interview with Talk Sport, Drew McIntyre said that he wanted to bring back the WWE European Title. McIntyre said that he wanted to bring the title back because he wanted to win it as a child but can’t now that it has been retired. He made it clear that he only wants to bring it back so he can win it and then instantly retire it again. There is nothing to suggest that WWE is planning to bring the title, which existed from February 26, 1997 until July 22, 2002. VIDEO: WWE Return Takes A Surprising Turn
That’s a different way to go. There are a lot of ways to present a wrestler, whether they are new or making their return. The way they are introduced can go a long way in determining how well their career goes and it can be rather difficult to make work. WWE has tried a variety of methods over the years and now their latest idea could be an interesting twist on things. Over the last five weeks, vignettes have aired featuring Lacey Evans talking about her childhood and time growing up in an abusive family. Evans chronicled her time dealing with an alcoholic father before finally making it to WWE. This week saw Evans appearing in the arena, but only after having made a request that she be applauded and cheered as she deserved. This could suggest that Evans will be a villain again rather than a heroine as had been suggested before her return. What do you think? VIDEO: Second Generation Star Makes NXT Debut
The new generation. There are a lot of wrestlers throughout the world today and some of them are the children of previous wrestlers. In a way, these wrestlers have a leg up on others as they have grown up around someone in the industry and have probably been given some insight on how things work. It can be fascinating to see how they do as a result and that seems to be the case again. Arianna Grace made her debut on NXT this week, appearing in a vignette announcing her entry into the first ever women’s Breakout Tournament. Grace is formerly known as Bianca Carelli and is the daughter of former WWE star Santino Marella. She has previously wrestled for the NWA and signed with WWE earlier this year. WATCH: The Rock And Roman Reigns Separately Tease WrestleMania Match
Who else is left? WrestleMania is the biggest and highest profile wrestling event in the world. The main event of WrestleMania is, by definition, often the most important wrestling match of the year. Some of them have been among the most well known matches in wrestling history. WWE is hoping to do it again next year, and now a possible match is being teased on other programs. The Rock vs. Roman Reigns has been rumored as a possible WrestleMania 39 main event. This week on Young Rock, a child version of Reigns jumped on a teenage version of Rock’s back and asked to wrestle, but Rock said something like that could only happen at WrestleMania. Last month, an episode of WWE Evil on Reigns featured a clip of Reigns saying he would fight the Rock. The teases are strong. NXT Star’s WWE Contract Set To Expire Soon, Not Expected Back Right Now
Say goodbye? With so many people on the WWE roster, it can be difficult to keep track of everyone involved. Sometimes a wrestler just gets forgotten about for one reason or another, often when they are taken off of television. That can create a problem for the wrestlers as well as the company, as there are occasions where someone slips under the radar long enough that they wind up getting away entirely. We might be seeing that again soon. According to Fightful Select, Candice LeRae’s WWE contract is expected to expire at some point this spring. LeRae has been out of action on maternity leave since July and gave birth to her first child with Johnny Gargano last month. However, her contract has not been frozen since she has been out of action and is expected to expire before she is ready to return. Vince McMahon’s Mother Passes Away
We have some sad news to report this morning as Vince McMahon’s mother, Vicky Askew, has passed away at the age of 101. She died peacefully in her sleep at her home in The Woodlands, TX, just outside of Houston. From her obituary: Vicki was born on July 11, 1920 in Florence, South Carolina, the only daughter of four children of Orpheus William Hanner and Victoria Kennedy Hanner. The family moved when Vicki was a young girl to Sanford and then to East Sanford, NC where she spent her childhood. Vicki was blessed with two sons, Rod and Vince, both of whom married their childhood sweethearts. Sadly, Rod passed away one year to the day before his mother. Vicki’s childhood was tough. She spoke of it in an interview for the North Shore Church in 2018: “My mother had to go to work to support me and my three brothers. She started by selling Avon. During the Great Depression, I remember drawing my foot on pasteboard and putting it in my shoe (the sole had holes and no one could afford new s..

This is only a rumor, so take it for what it’s worth. It had been previously reported that Mustafa Ali had requested his release from his WWE contract in order to pursue other projects. According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, WWE has denied Ali’s request for his release to be granted. That would do it. Like him or not, there is no one in the wrestling world as powerful as Vince McMahon. The right or wrong take from McMahon can determine where a wrestler’s career goes and there is little that can be done to chance that. These issues are often for the worse and unfortunately that seems to be the case again with one of the more underused WWE stars. Earlier today, WWE star Mustafa Ali announced that he was requesting his release from the company, saying that he is unable to deliver the message that he wants to deliver while working for the company. WATCH: Special Family Reunion And Celebration After NXT
It’s a family thing. There are certain wrestling families that have been around for a very long time and whose names are going to be immediately known. Some of these families go on for more than one generation as some of the wrestlers’ children get into the business as well. That was the case again recently, and now one of the new generation has an accomplishment to share with the family. The main event of this week’s NXT New Year’s Evil saw Bron Breakker defeated Tommaso Ciampa to win the NXT Title. WWE has posted a video from after the show went off the air, featuring Breakker celebrating with his father, Rick Steiner. The video’s caption identifies Steiner by name, though Breakker has never been directly identified as part of the Steiner family on NXT TV. Ciampa also shook Steiner’s hand as he left the arena.
