Angry Chief: Roman Reigns Reportedly “Very Heated” Over Unplanned WarGames Spot
Spoils of war? Over the weekend, WWE presented its annual Survivor Series event, which featured the main roster debut of WarGames. There was both a men’s and women’s match on the show, with the Bloodline coming out on top in the show’s main event. Roman Reigns dominated parts of the match, but there was one part that did not go so well for him, which could have been much worse. According to Fightful Select, Reigns was “very heated” over an unplanned spot between himself and Kevin Owens during the match. Reigns was also described as “visibly upset” after the match was over and reportedly went on an expletive filled rant once backstage. He also believed he might have a ruptured eardrum due to the incident. However, there is nothing to indicate that there will be any lingering issues and there was no physical altercation backstage. He could work. Roman Reigns has dominated WWE for over two years now, with one of the longest World Title reigns in company history. Reigns has run through just about everyone that has come in his path, which has not left him with many opponents left to come after him. WWE is going to need to look in a different direction to find a challenger and now someone is calling out Reigns. Reigns successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against Logan Paul in the main event of Crown Jewel over the weekend. Surrounded by the Bloodline, Reigns has been the Tribal Chief of WWE since he won the Universal Title in August 2019. There is nothing to suggest that he will be losing the title anytime soon, but at one point during his title reign, he did something rather impressive that earned some extra attention. According to multiple reports, WWE has filed a new notice with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), claiming that they learned of two additional payments totaling $5 million that was paid by Vince McMahon. The filing claims that the payments are unrelated to the $14.6 million in “certain unrecorded expenses” that date back to 2006. According to a report from Cageside Seats, Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics said on Busted Open Radio that longtime WWE producer Kevin Dunn will most likely be finished with the company. This comes after the announcement that Vince McMahon was retiring and on his way out of WWE.
