Dominik Mysterio Discusses Rhea Ripley, Life In Prison, The Judgement Day, More

Dominik Mysterio was recently interviewed by WrestleRant and Bleacher Report, where he discussed a number of topics. Among them was his relationship with Rhea Ripley, his time in prison, the future of The Judgement Day, and more. Below are some highlights from the interview: On his relationship with Rhea Ripley: “Maybe after she choked me unconscious, I thought, ‘You know what? I think things may be able to work here. I think she’s the one to help me out,'” he said about when their chemistry clicked for him. “I think our anniversary would be the first day she beat me up. But I don’t know. I’m not going to answer questions that are going to get me trouble.” “She doesn’t like to do much and neither do I, so we just stay indoors,” Dom said. “She puts on some really scary movies and listens to really loud music. I don’t like the scary movies, but she’s pretty scary, so it all depends on what she puts on, whether it be a slasher or a horror. It’s pretty intense.” On being in priso..

Wrestling Legend Rips Charlotte vs. Toni Storm Feud

Not everyone is a fan. There are so many stories taking place in WWE at any given time that it could be difficult to keep track of them. Some of the stories are more interesting than others, and that can create a few problems. Ultimately, with so many things going on at once, you are going to find something that is not as good as the others. That seems to be the case again, this time with a wrestling legend. During a recent appearance on the Smack Talk podcast, former WWE star Dutch Mantel talked about the current SmackDown feud between Charlotte and Toni Storm. Mantel’s problem comes from the fact that the feud is built around hitting each other with pies, as it killed the chemistry that the feud had. He does not believe that the feud can be revived, despite Storm earning a title shot during their match on SmackDown. It is an interesting show. Funny Video: Kayla Braxton Is Paul Heyman For Halloween

Tis the season. Wrestlers often have a tricky job as they have to be a mixture of athletes, actors and characters, all at the same time. There are so many people involved in a wrestling production that you are going to see some people who are better than others at each job. This time around, we are seeing someone who is very good at the lighter side, and they are showcasing themselves well. One of the best stories going in all of WWE at the moment is the backstage banter between Paul Heyman and interviewer Kayla Braxton. The two have quite the chemistry together, with Braxton enjoying needling Heyman when he is stressed and Heyman accusing Braxton of having a crush on him. This has led to quite the tribute and it happens to coincide with Halloween. Check out what Braxton has done, plus the two of them together: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is one of the most entertaini..

Interesting And Telling Detail On Major Summerslam Moment

They might need some better planning. There are certain things that WWE could do better. One of the most infamous stories you will regularly hear is about how the script is changed at the last minute. It often comes off that WWE does not know what they are going to do until they have no time left. That seems to have been the case at one of the biggest shows of the year. Last month, Becky Lynch made her surprise return to WWE at Summerslam after a year plus away due to maternity leave. She would defeat Bianca Belair to win the SmackDown Women’s Title in 26 seconds as a replacement opponent when Sasha Banks did not appear on the show. Belair spoke to Inside The Ropes and revealed that the decision to have her lose the title to Lynch was made at the very last minute. Belair said that the decision was made just as she was ready to go to the ring. She described the emotions that were on her face in the ring were real, as she was shocked. These two have quite the chemistry. Check out how t..

Here Are The Summerslam Plans For Randy Orton And Riddle

That’s one way to go. We are less than two weeks away from Summerslam and that means WWE should have everything set in stone for the show. There are still some details to announce for the event though and some of those have started to come together. One of the more interesting stories might have gotten some more attention on this week’s Monday Night Raw and now we might know where it is going. Randy Orton returned to WWE television during this week’s Monday Night Raw after a seven week absence. Orton would defeat AJ Styles and then lay out occasional partner Riddle with an RKO to end the show. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the current plan for Summerslam will still see Orton and Riddle challenge AJ Styles and Omos for the Raw Tag Team Titles. Commentary suggested that Riddle and Orton were not done as a team after Orton hit the RKO. They do have a chemistry. Check out Orton and Riddle’s work together: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, cl..

Paul Heyman Names Some Underrated WWE Talkers

He would know. There are certainly a few people in wrestling who are known for specific things. Maybe it is what they can do in the ring or how they look, but there are others who are better at talking. It can help a lot to have someone who knows how to identify those talents, and one of the best going today has set his sights on some people who are quite good at the promo game. Paul Heyman recently took part in a recent Highspots Virtual Meet and Greet where he was asked who he felt was underrated when it came to their promo abilities. Heyman chose both of the Street Profits, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, saying that the two of them already had great promos but had not yet scratched the surface of how great they could be. He also described the chemistry between the two of them as “just magic”. During Heyman’s tenure as the Executive Director of Monday Night Raw, Heyman featured the Street Profits doing promos before they had begun wrestling on the show. There is a history here. Ch..

Why WWE Dropped Monday Night Raw Storyline

That’s pretty straightforward. WWE has a lot of television time to fill and that has been the case for a very long time now. What has also been the case for a very long time now is WWE having some issues filling in all that time. At some point you are going to run out of ideas or ways out of a story, which means that some of them might not have the best conclusion. This time though, one didn’t even have a conclusion at all. Over the summer on Monday Night Raw, Angel Garza constantly hit on backstage interviewer Charly Caruso. The two showed some romantic chemistry and with Garza being pushed as a romantic, Caruso seemed interested in him. Then the story was suddenly dropped without much of an explanation. Caruso has since offered an explanation, though it might not be well received. A fan on Twitter asked Caruso why the story with Garza was randomly stopped like so many other WWE stories. Caruso responded, saying that it too was randomly stopped, offering no other explanation and sug..

How The Steiner Brothers Heavily Influenced Cesaro’s Career

That’s a good team for Cesaro to emulate. Tag team wrestling has been around for a very long time and it isn’t going away anytime soon. While it might not be at the heights it has been before, tag team wrestling can work very well if a company can find some teams with a chemistry. You don’t get to see it all that often, but it can help to look at some of the all time greats. One of WWE’s more prolific tag team wrestlers does just that. There are very few WWE stars of this generation with as much tag team experience as Cesaro. Over the years, Cesaro has teamed with Tyson Kidd, Shinsuke Nakamura, Jack Swagger and Sheamus with quite the bit of success most of the time. Cesaro is a very talented wrestler and has done some great things in tag teams and it might have to do with his inspiration. In a new interview with the Bump, Cesaro spoke about how he tries to emulate the Steiner Brothers in his tag teams and wrestlers more like either Rick or Scott Steiner depending on his partner. His ..

Alexa Bliss Injured, What Is Her Mixed Match Challenge Status?

Hopefully it’s little instead of big. Earlier this year, the first season of Mixed Match Challenge featured a variety of teams being thrown together to compete in a tournament. One of the most successful was Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman, who turned out to have some outstanding chemistry. It was a no brainer to bring them back for the second season, though there is a bit of a hiccup. As announced on WWE’s YouTube channel, Bliss has suffered an arm injury and won’t be able to participate in this week’s Mixed Match Challenge debut. Bliss was scheduled to team with Strowman to face Kevin Owens and Natalya but Ember Moon has been chosen to replace her. There is no word on how long Bliss will be out, but she will be back in the Mixed Match Challenge as soon as she is healthy. Here’s WWE’s official announcement: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: Aside from the obvious reasons, I hope Bliss is back in the ring in a hurry. The team of Bliss and Strowman is one of the mos..

Adam Cole Talks His Friendship With Kyle O'Reilly, Bobby Fish & Roderick Strong, And Goes Over His Eventful NXT TakeOver: NOLA

Its all about The Undisputed Era. To kick-start WrestleMania weekend for the WWE there was a Ladder match to open NXT TakeOver: New Orleans to crown the first-ever NXT North American Champion. At the end of the contest the sly Adam Cole pushed the ladder that Ricochet was standing atop on, crushing the dreams of the "The One And Only". Cole climbed to the top of the ladder and pulled down the championship as the thousands in attendance inside of the Smoothie King Center went ballistic for "The Panama City Playboy." Later on in the night Adam Cole had to help his faction-mate Kyle O'Reilly defend the NXT Tag Team Championships and in a shocking turn of events, Roderick Strong pledged his allegiance to The Undisputed Era by turning on his partner in the match Pete Dunne, and handing over the NXT Tag Titles on a silver plater to Kyle O'Reilly and Adam Cole. Adam Cole was recently interviewed by Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald where he discussed the chemistry that all involv..

What Could Be Next for Roman Reigns After “Wrestlemania”?

One is a Samoan named Joe. In less than three weeks, Roman Reigns faces one of the biggest challenges of his life as he meets Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at “Wrestlemania XXXIV”. While the title change may seem academic at this point, Reigns still needs something to do after the show. We may have a clue what that’s going to be. There’s definitely a history here. [This post contains video, click to play] According to “Wrestling Observer Radio” by way of 411mania.com, Reigns’ next feud after “Wrestlemania” will be against Samoa Joe. The two feuded back in 2017 and were both part of the four way “Summerslam 2017” main event. Samoa Joe has been on the injured list with a foot injury since January. Reigns was busy on Monday, which you can recap here. Opinion: This works for me as these two have had some excellent chemistry in the past. Let them go out there and beat on each other for a few months and the good matches will be academic. If nothing else Reigns has had issues beatin..

Title Changes Hands at “Fastlane 2018”

And now, it’s over. With “Fastlane 2018” out of the way, there’s nothing left for WWE to cover but the biggest show of the year with “Wrestlemania XXXIV”. Before we get there though, there was a pay per view that needed to be covered. The show did have at least one title change and that’s always important. Here’s a quick look at the match: [This post contains video, click to play] Tonight at “Fastlane 2018”, Bobby Roode lost the United States Title to Randy Orton. After nearly twenty minutes, Orton caught Roode coming off the top with an RKO for the clean pin and the title. After the match, Jinder Mahal attacked both men but Roode took out both he and Orton. This is Orton’s first reign as US Champion. You can see the full results right here. Opinion: While this seems to be leading to a triple threat match at “Wrestlemania”, the match itself was pretty fun with Orton and Roode showing good chemistry. Adding Mahal to the mix isn’t the most thrilling thing in the world but you kne..

Important Questions That Smackdown Should Answer

<p>This week’s Smackdown got a few gears going shortly after Money in the Bank. <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/lana" title="Lana">Lana</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/naomi" title="Naomi">Naomi</a></strong> look to be fighting again. Daniel Bryan returned, and then he stripped Carmella of the Money in the Bank briefcase and scheduled a rematch for next week. Good for the women.</p><p>Meanwhile, Jinder continues to reign as the WWE Champion (30 days and counting!), and the Hype Brothers Bros asked for the title shot that they rightfully earned. Daniel Bryan, for some reason, decided not to give them their title opportunity, but forced them to earn it again. This will most likely lead to shenanigans from the Usos to get Zack and Mojo out of the title picture.</p><p>Still, this week left us me with more questions than answers. Here are three of those questions that I feel need to be asked.</p><h4>Is Smackdown Doing Randy v. Jinder III?</h4><p></p><p>If I’m going to be honest, their last two matches have hardly managed to set the world on fire. There are certain duos in the ring who will always have excellent chemistry. Okada – Omega, Styles – Ambrose, Owens – Zayn, Punk – Cena, Orton – Christian, etc. Unfortunately, Orton – Mahal is not one of those pairings.</p><p>Mahal wrestles a rather pedestrian style, and Orton is a tricky guy to have chemistry with. A lot of talented wrestlers just don’t really click with Orton. It happens. So why are they continuing the feud between Orton and Mahal?</p><p>Let’s even look at it from a kayfabe perspective. Orton lost his rematch. Why should he get another match? He could feasibly earn it again in a match, but they didn’t do that. Randy just said he was gonna RKO a bunch of Indians to get revenge on Jinder.</p><p>Then there’s Baron Corbin waiting in the shadows with his Money in the Bank contract. While he is exactly the type of guy to cash in on Jinder, it’s highly unlikely that they’ll have a heel cash in on a heel. What I’m trying to say is that there is going to be a lot of change in the WWE title scene, but we don’t know what’s going to happen.</p><h4>Where on God’s Green Earth Is Rusev?</h4><p></p><p>This is a question that many people have been asking since last month. <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/rusev" title="Rusev">Rusev</a></strong> demanded a title match at Money in the Bank, but then he was conveniently forgotten. Of course we all found out that Rusev was only medically cleared like last week, and then we all thought “cool. Maybe he’ll be at Money in the Bank.” Nope. Instead, we got Mike and Maria Kannelis, who, don’t get me wrong, are a cool and welcome addition to the Smackdown roster, but they’re not Rusev. So where on God’s green earth is Rusev?</p><p>They clearly had something before he got injured. He had beef with Mahal for some reason. I’m not entirely sure why because to be honest, there was a period of time where I stopped watching Raw completely and only watched Smackdown. But I know they had a squabble.</p><p>The story really writes itself. Rusev could’ve helped Jinder retain at Money in the Bank, and then turn on Jinder so he could get the WWE Championship. Or have Rusev return and attack Jinder, because they have unfinished business.</p><p>Rusev is one of the best performers on the roster today, so Smackdown should find a way to put him on the show.</p><h4>How Far Will Smackdown Go with the Kevin Owens Open Challenge?</h4><p></p><p>I like the idea of the Open Challenge. It helps the image of a fighting champion who is looking for competition and looking to prove himself. It also showcases the skills of often overlooked superstars, and makes them look like they want the gold.</p><p>This week, Owens defended the US title against Chad Gable in a pretty good match. Gable returned from doing absolutely nothing the last few months, while Jason Jordan got exactly 10 seconds of screen time. While I like the idea of the Open Challenge, there’s still AJ Styles hanging around in the title picture.</p><p>Was this Open Challenge a one-time thing? I think it’s a potentially great idea to have Styles keep answering the challenge and Owens repeatedly denying him and defending it against someone else. Of course, that’s just me, and surely there’s some sort of flaw that I don’t see.</p><p>So how far will Smackdown take the Open Challenge? When will Styles and Owens face off again?</p>

Five Potential Opponents for Kurt Angle

<p>Rumours have surfaced this week that Kurt Angle’s current storyline is going to result in a match-up between Kurt Angle and <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/triple-h" title="Triple H">Triple H</a></strong> somewhere down the line.</p><p>While from a storyline point of view, this definitely makes the most sense, the rumour has been met with a mixed response from the WWE audience. Fans have dreamed of an Angle return for years and a match with Triple H was never near the top of their wish-list.</p><p>Angle’s return to the ring is really a case of if and not when, but fans would much rather see him do battle with a younger star or a more active one at the very least.  With that in mind, let’s take a look at 5 potential opponents for Kurt Angle who would be a better option than Triple H.</p><p><strong></strong><strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/brock-lesnar" title="Brock Lesnar">Brock Lesnar</a></strong> </p><p></p><p>Okay, so I know that Brock is no spring chicken himself these days and that this match has been seen plenty of times before in the WWE. The last time these two wrestled, though, things were very different. Both stars have changed a lot since their last match and the two could no doubt produce something just as special as their old matches but still manage to add something new and exciting to it.</p><p>The two also share an amazing chemistry in the ring,  the kind that only really comes around once in a generation. Having the two square off would also <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/prove/" title="prove">prove</a></strong> to be box office gold for the company, with both men being household names around the world.</p><p>In terms of setting this up- a feud between a GM desperate to keep his job, and a champion who just refuses to perform really shouldn’t be too difficult to get off the ground- add in the pair’s history and this one pretty much writes itself.</p>

X-Pac 1, 2, 360 Recap – Backlash Analysis, Dunne & Bate Steal Takeover, Nakamura’s In-ring Debut, More!

<p>X-Pac discusses his comments from this past week, when he informed that Val Venis almost became a member of DX at one point. He also informs that Test was very close to becoming a member of the <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/group/" title="group">group</a></strong> as well, but that didn’t happen either.</p><p>He says that when you have a successful group such as nWo, DX or the Bullet Club, you have to be very careful as to who you add to the group so as to not interfere with the chemistry of the other members. However, if the creative team suggests a new member and the other members don’t <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/agree/" title="agree">agree</a></strong>, they have to be able to articulate a good reason as to why the other talent shouldn’t be brought into the group.</p><p></p><p>X-Pac comments on the ongoing issues between The Hardys and IMPACT wrestling. He says that WWE might be interested in the ‘Broken Universe’, but there’s no reason for them to get involved legally if The Hardys are already pursuing legal action against IMPACT. X-Pac admits that if <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/vince-mcmahon" title="Vince McMahon">Vince McMahon</a></strong> really wants to use that gimmick, he might just get fed up and pay IMPACT for it, especially if it’s cheap.</p>
