Hand Them Over: Multiple New Champions Crowned At NXT Vengeance Day

It was a busy night. Title changes are one of the most important things that you can see at a wrestling event. A new champion being crowned marks a changing of the guard, as you have someone else becoming one of the to stars in a promotion. It can mean even more if multiple titles change hands in a single night, which was the case this weekend in the span of a few hours. There were two title changes over the weekend at NXT Vengeance Day. First up, Fallon Henley and Kiana James defeated Kayden Carter and Katana Chance to become the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. The win marks the first title changes for Henley and James and also ends the record setting reign for Chance and Carter at 186 days. Later, Gallus defeated Pretty Deadly, Chase U and reigning champions the New Day to win the NXT Tag Team Titles for the first time. We’re on the way to Deadline and that means we need to add some people to the card. There are five spots each for the Iron Survivor matches and all of them need to be filled. Mandy Rose brags about keeping the Women’s Title last week, saying another one bit the dust. 12 Time World Champion Makes Surprise AEW Debut On Dynamite

That’s a surprise. AEW has come a long way in a short amount of time and a lot of that has to do with its roster. The company has put together a roster with wrestlers who are a mixture of current stars, young up and comers and veterans. The company does a lot to build up its roster and now they have added another former multiple time World Champion to the roster. Former NWA and Impact Wrestling World Champion Jeff Jarrett made his AEW debut this week on Dynamite, joining forces with Jay Lethal and company. Jarrett attacked Darby Allin after a loss to Lethal, which came after Cole Carter helped Lethal defeat Allin. With Allin down, Jarrett said that Sting was Allin’s greatest weakness and blamed the AEW fans for ruining wrestling. There is no word on how what kind of a deal Jarrett has with AEW or what he will be doing with the company. NXT Date: October 25, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Booker T. We’re fresh off of Halloween Havoc and that means not much has really changed. The only new champion crowned was Wes Lee, who won the vacant North American Title. In other words, pretty much everyone should be on to something new as we are coming up on Deadline in about six weeks. We do have a pair of Tag Team Title matches though, which feel like matches that they just couldn’t fit on Halloween Havoc. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Halloween Havoc. Women’s Tag Team Titles: Kayden Carter/Katana Chance vs. Zoey Stark/Nikkita Lyons Stark and Lyons are challenging. Carter and Lyons start, with the latter busting out some splits. WWE Has Started Making Changes To Multiple Wrestlers Across Multiple Rosters

Switch em up. WWE is going through a lot of behind the scenes changes and that means we might be in for some changes in front of the camera as well. There are a lot of things that could be improved by a few changes and some of those could make things a good deal more interesting. Now we might be seeing a few of those changes coming to pass, both on the main roster and in NXT. Katana Chance and Kayden Carter won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles this week on NXT. Following the win, the two of them talked about how hard they had worked to get here. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the promo was an example of characters being course corrected from their villainous characters to heroines under the new regime in WWE. NXT United Kingdom Title Vacated, Tournament To Be Held

That’s one way to get it off of him. Titles are one of the most important parts of any wrestling show, as they are the way to determine the best around. A wrestler might be the reigning champion or chasing the title and that can often be the centerpiece of any promotion. That means a title change can be a huge moment, but unfortunately this one did not go as originally intended. This week on NXT UK, United Kingdom Champion Ilja Dragunov was forced to vacate his championship due to an injury suffered in his recent title defense against Wolfgang. As a result, an eight man tournament will be held to crown the new champion. This is the first time in the title’s history that the title has been vacant for any reason, with Dragunov’s reign ending at 347 days. The mot interesting one might be the Women’s Tag Tam Titles, which are guaranteed to see new champions crowned as the titles are vacant coming in. In addition to all that, there is a Falls Count Anywhere match between Solo Sikoa and Von Wagner. Let’s get to it. History has been made! There are a lot of titles in the wrestling world and a lot of them are open for most wrestlers to win. However, there are some championships that are only available for a specific group of wrestlers, which means that the divisions can be a bit more compact. That was the case this week, as some new champions were crowned in a very specific division. This week’s NXT featured a fatal four way elimination match for the vacant NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles. Katana Chance and Kayden Carter defeated Toxic Attraction, Ivy Nile/Tatum Paxley and Valentina Feroz/Yulisa Leon to win the vacant titles. Go For Gold: Possible Backstage Plans On Upcoming Title Change

They have a plan. Titles can be a tricky concept in wrestling, as while they are supposed to be held by the top star or stars in a division, there can be some problems with keeping things in order. This might be the case if a title has to be vacated, meaning a new champion never beat the old one. That is the case again in NXT, but it seems they have a plan for it. Earlier this month, Cora Jade turned on Roxanne Perez before vacating her half of the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles. Perez forfeited her title the next week, meaning new champions are needed. A four way match for the titles has been announced and according to Wrestling Observer Radio, Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley are being discussed as possible winners, though this is not set in stone. She’s a star. There have been a lot of wrestlers throughout WWE’s history but only a few of them have reached legendary status. These are wrestlers that are remembered for a long time to come, though sometimes they are more remembered for something a little less positive. That was the case with a legend who appeared on WWE TV this week with a reference to her more infamous moment. WWE Hall of Famer Alundra Blayze appeared on this week’s edition of NXT, where she accepted Roxanne Perez’s half of the NXT Tag Team Titles, leaving them officially vacant. Ouch: Champions Forced To Vacate Titles Due To Injury, New Champions Crowned

History has been made, twice! There are a lot of titles under the WWE banner but some of them are not the most well known. With so many wrestlers spread across so many shows, it is not easy to build up every championship there is. This time though, some of the titles had to be vacated due to an injury, but now we have some new champions to keep the titles going. Ashton Smith and Oliver Carter vacated the NXT UK Tag Team Titles this week as Smith has ruptured his MCL and will require surgery. As a result, a fatal four way match was held this week, with Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen winning the titles by defeating Mark Andrews/Wild Boar, Dave Mastiff/Jack Starz and Die Familie. Briggs and Jensen had been vying for a title shot before the match was made. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that has to be done every now and then and that is still not a good thing. With special guest stars! Wrestling companies come and go all the time and some of them take their leave without much fanfare. It can be quite impressive when a company manages to survive for a long time but even longer when they do so with some success. One major company was celebrating a milestone this weekend and they had some guest stars to help. Impact Wrestling held its Slammiversary pay per view this weekend in honor of the company celebrating twenty years since its debut. Several guest stars and surprises appeared on the show, including videos from Sting, AJ Styles and Kurt Angle. Also appearing were past company names such as David Young, Slash, Chase Stevens and Shark Boy, all of whom appeared in the Reverse Battle Royal on the Countdown show. This program allows students to begin training in WWE while still attending colleges and universities worldwide. NXT In Your House 2022 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

This is the kind of show that NXT needs every now and then and thankfully they haven’t gone too nuts and done them every month. At some point you need to have a big, special show and this time around you have a fairly stacked show. Granted the main event might not be the most exciting, but at least the show is taking place. Let’s get to it. Women’s Tag Team Titles: Toxic Attraction(c) vs. Katana Chance/Kayden Carter This is one of those matches that is made a bit more interesting by the fact that Toxic Attraction has lost the titles before. As a result, it means that another loss is not out of the question, which opens up some doors. Granted I don’t know how wide those doors are, but at least there is an option. Toxic Attraction has held the titles longer than anyone in history, with their reigns lasting all but three days since late October. That’s quite the target and that should be a good thing here. I’ll go with Chance/Carter to win here, as they are one of the only women’s teams..
