Vengeance Day 2023 Date: February 4, 2023 Location: Spectrum Center, Charlotte, North Carolina Commentators: Vic Joseph, Booker T. NXT is back on the road for the first time since Stand & Deliver all the way back in the spring. That is something that could do a lot of good for NXT and the card is pretty stacked as well. We have a bunch of title matches here, capped off by Bron Breakker defending the NXT Title against Grayson Waller inside a cage. Let’s get to it. That being said, there is a Sami Zayn sized road block on the Road To Wrestlemania and I’m not sure how they are going to deal with it. You can almost guarantee Zayn is getting the Elimination Chamber title shot, but dang it’s going to be a fun right on the way there. Let’s get to it. WATCH: WWE Referee Drops Sami Zayn With A Stunner At Live Event

From both sides! A wrestling match is not a complicated concept. You have (usually) two wrestlers in the ring at once with the match most often ending via pinfall or submission. That is a pretty simple formula, but at the same time there is often a third person in the ring: the referee. While the referee is supposed to be impartial, that is not always going to be the case. Now a referee has gotten involved with a match and changed it in a big way. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: WWE Releases Never Before Seen Roman Reigns Match Earlier this week, WWE held a live event in the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. In the show’s main event, Braun Strowman, Ricochet and Kevin Owens teamed up to face the Bloodline. Late in the match, Sami Zayn yelled at referee Jessika Carr, prompting Carr to hit him with a Stunner. Owens then came in and hit another Stunner to win the match for his team. You won’t be seeing him for a bit. There are a lot of different dimensions to wrestling, but at the end of the day, it is a physical sport that can cause a lot of damage to the wrestlers themselves. You never know when you might see someone get injured and be put on the shelf. Sometimes wrestlers need to get a piece of themselves fixed up and that seems to have taken place again. Garrison did not reveal the nature of his injury or how long he expected to be on the shelf recovering. Garrison, 24 years old, has not wrestled since the October 21 edition of AEW Dark, though there is no word on if the surgery is related to his recent absence from the ring. After about a year as NXT 2.0, the promotion has dropped the numbers and seems to be shifting in a new direction with Triple H back in power in WWE. That means some changes to NXT and now we might know the next major step in the company’s new path. More Details On Ricky Steamboat’s Return To The Ring

That would be big. There are a lot of ways to wrap up a wrestling career and some of them can be very respectful for everyone involved. Every wrestler wants to go out on a high note but sometimes they will also want to prove that they still have what it takes to be in the ring, even one more time. That is what a legend is going to be doing later this year and now we know a bit more about the match. Earlier this year, it was announced that Ricky The Dragon Steamboat would be wrestling his final match later this year for Big Time Wrestling in Raleigh, North Carolina. The promotion has now announced that the match will be a six man tag, featuring Steamboat and FTR taking on Jay Lethal, Brock Anderson and a mystery partner, with Arn Anderson managing the team. Smackdown Date: August 5, 2022 Location: Bon Secours Wellness Arena, Greenville, South Carolina Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee We’re done with Summerslam and well on the way to Clash At The Castle, which should make for an energized few weeks. WWE seems to want to make this show into something special and they have the ability to do so. The main event is already set and now we get to see what else they have. Let’s get to it. We open with a long recap of Summerslam. The Bloodline arrives. Pat McAfee gives us a telestrated recap of him kicking Happy Corbin low at Summerslam. We see the impact about ten times before cutting to the back, where a bunch of people are laughing at Corbin. Ricochet laughs a lot and gets a match with Corbin tonight as a result. KB’s Review: It Makes Summerslam Sense

Last fall, the family went down to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (I didn’t have much of a choice so spare me the “why there” questions) for a vacation. It wasn’t my thing, but at one point I did head out and find a bookstore to pass some time. The store was adjacent to a local mall where I thought they might sell playing cards (one of my other passions, with a current collection of 923 decks (27 wrestling) and counting). Inside the mall I found….very little, as the place was mostly dead. One thing I did find though was an old school arcade inside a comic book store, with a ton of arcade cabinets and a row of pinball machines, including the old WWF Royal Rumble game. Each play was a quarter each so I ran through at least five bucks and had one of the best days of the entire trip there on my own. So what does this have to do with wrestling? Heck if I know, but what does pinball have to do with Summerslam? That’s something that has been bothering me about the build to this year’s Summer..

Homecoming: Arena Advertising Return Of Top WWE Star

Welcome back? There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster today and some of them are among the biggest stars going in the wrestling world today. Those wrestlers are able to make quite the impact no matter what they are doing, but sometimes they are going to be away. What matters though is that those wrestlers get to come back at some point, which might be the case with a pretty big star. The PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina is advertising an appearance by Charlotte for the August 12 edition of SmackDown. Charlotte is currently not listed on WWE.com’s preview for the show. Should she appear, this would be Charlotte’s first appearance since WrestleMania Backlash on May 8 when she was defeated by Ronda Rousey. There is no word on what Charlotte would be doing on the show. Opinion: This is the kind of return that WWE could use as Charlotte has been gone for the better part of two months. Vince McMahon’s Mother Passes Away

We have some sad news to report this morning as Vince McMahon’s mother, Vicky Askew, has passed away at the age of 101. She died peacefully in her sleep at her home in The Woodlands, TX, just outside of Houston. From her obituary: Vicki was born on July 11, 1920 in Florence, South Carolina, the only daughter of four children of Orpheus William Hanner and Victoria Kennedy Hanner. The family moved when Vicki was a young girl to Sanford and then to East Sanford, NC where she spent her childhood. Vicki was blessed with two sons, Rod and Vince, both of whom married their childhood sweethearts. Sadly, Rod passed away one year to the day before his mother. Vicki’s childhood was tough. She spoke of it in an interview for the North Shore Church in 2018: “My mother had to go to work to support me and my three brothers. She started by selling Avon. During the Great Depression, I remember drawing my foot on pasteboard and putting it in my shoe (the sole had holes and no one could afford new s..

Big Update On Brock Lesnar’s Immediate Future

He’ll be sticking around. We are less than two days away from the Royal Rumble and that means things are starting to get serious around WWE. The Road To WrestleMania will officially begin and WWE will be turning things up a bit. Some wrestlers are going to be in more prominent roles, including some of the bigger names in the company.
