WWE knows what they have planned for the show but the matches still need to be officially announced. This includes title matches as well, and now we know one of the bigger title matches that is going to be held at some point over the weekend. She’s back. WWE has had a number of returns in the past 48 hours, with names such as Chelsea Green and Rick Boogs returning to the company. However, there was an additional name that also made her presence felt on television. Carmella made her return to WWE programming on tonight’s episode of Raw. It was also announced that she would be in a Fatal-4-way match on next week’s show, along with Candice LaRae, Michin, and Piper Niven. The winner of that match will qualify for the upcoming Elimination Chamber match, where the winner will face Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania. It means that there are going to be instances of people trying to stir up problems, some of which have to be dealt with immediately. That was the case over the weekend, with one of the wrestlers themselves taking care of the situation. However, Carmella has since commented on the video, saying that the video was Photoshopped to look like the two of them. Please don’t be bad. Injuries are one of the worst things that you can see happen in wrestling. Not only can they stop a storyline or a match from continuing as planned, but much more importantly they can put someone in a bad spot in the short and long term. Unfortunately that might be the case again as a WWE star might have been injured over the weekend. According to a variety of posts on Twitter, Carmella may have been injured during a WWE live event over the weekend. Carmella was facing Asuka and Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair in a title match and seems to have been injured when she ran into the corner. Run It Back: WrestleMania 38 Rematch Set For Summerslam

Do it again! WrestleMania 38 took place back in April and had quite the stacked card. There were some very good matches taking place over the course of both nights and some of the ramifications are still being felt three and a half months later. Now it is time to move on to one of the other biggest shows of the year, but you might see something you recognize from a few months ago. This week on Monday Night Raw, Bianca Belair defeated Carmella to retain the Raw Women’s Title. As a result, Belair will defend the title against Becky Lynch at Summerslam on July 30. The match will be a rematch from WrestleMania 38 where Belair defeated Lynch to win the title. It is also a rematch from last year’s Summerslam, where a returning Lynch defeated Belair in 26 seconds to win the SmackDown Women’s Title. There have been a lot of injuries over the years and some of them are more than a bit strange. That is kind of the case this time again, though in this case the wrestler has a pair of injuries, with one of them sounding a bit more serious than the other. Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, Bianca Belair announced that Rhea Ripley was not medically cleared to wrestle at Money in the Bank, meaning their Raw Women’s Title match was off. The card will be centered around the show’s namesake ladder matches, which will take up a good chunk of the company’s roster. However, there are other matches on the show and now one of them is going to need someone new to fill in a gap. The commentary team is there to tell you what is going on but also to guide fans in the direction the company is wanting. That is easier said than done and the right team is hard to put together. Next week is going to feature someone very familiar who is not around all that often anymore. WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler has announced via his Instagram Stories that he will be back on commentary next week on Monday Night Raw. This will be the second straight week on commentary for Lawler, who is replacing Corey Graves as he is on his honeymoon with Carmella. Lawler has done commentary for WWE on and off for about thirty years but has only made occasional appearances on Monday Night Raw in recent years. They have a list. WWE’s women’s division has come a very long way in the last several years. After spending so much time as little more than eye candy, women’s wrestling has become a major part of WWE’s presentation, with several wrestlers being able to make their mark on the company. Some of the current group have done so more than others and WWE has put them in a list. Earlier this week, a report surfaced revealing the internal list of WWE’s male stars. Now, a similar list has been revealed, according to PWInsider.com. The six main women on the Monday Night Raw roster have been sorted into a babyface and heel group. In descending order, Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss and Rhea Ripley are listed as the top babyfaces while Becky Lynch, Carmella and Queen Zelina are listed as the top heels. Two WWE Teams Violently Split Up On Monday Night Raw

So much for that. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it makes a lot of sense to pair some of them up. That has worked out well in a lot of situations, as some of the teams and pairings have been quite the successes. Some of them are among the best things going in WWE today, but they all have to end at some point. That was the case again this week in a surprise twist. Two different pairings split up this week on Monday Night Raw. First, the returning MVP turned on Bobby Lashley to side with Omos. Lashley and Omos were having a staredown when MVP attacked Lashley, allowing Omos to beat Lashley down and side with MVP. Later, Carmella and Queen Zelina get in an argument before their scheduled tag match, with Zelina attacking Carmella and leaving to officially end their team as well. Opinion: The Carmella/Zelina split has been building for some time, but the MVP/Lashley split seemed to come out of nowhere. That’s the important part. There are a lot of titles under the WWE umbrella and some of them are among the most important in wrestling. It means a lot for a title change to take place and you do not get to see it happen very often with some championships. That makes a big time title change all the more important and that was the case more than once this weekend. There were two title changes during the second night of WrestleMania 38. First up, Sasha Banks and Naomi defeated Rhea Ripley/Liv Morgan, Natalya/Shayna Baszler and champions Carmella/Queen Zelina to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles for the first time. Then, in the show’s main event, Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar to unify the Universal and WWE Titles. There is no word on what the new title will be called. The more the merrier. WrestleMania is the be all and end all for WWE and the last few years have seen the show get even bigger than ever before. This year’s WrestleMania 38 will be the third straight edition to feature a two night event, meaning even more wrestlers will have the chance to be on the card. Now the number of wrestlers on the show has grown even higher. This week on SmackDown, Sonya Deville added Natalya and Shayna Baszler to the Women’s Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania 38, making the match a fatal four way. Natalya and Baszler interfered to cause a double DQ in a match between the original challengers, Liv Morgan/Rhea Ripley and Sasha Banks/Naomi. After the match, Baszler and Natalya motioned to the champions, Queen Zelina and Carmella, that they wanted the titles. Opinion: Sure why not. There are only so many places to put all of these people and that can make for some issues. WWE has a few ways to add people to the lineup and that is what they have done again as a title match has grown. This week on Monday Night Raw, Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley defeated WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Queen Zelina and Carmella in a non-title match. As a result, Morgan and Ripley have been added to the Women’s Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania 38, where Vega and Carmella are scheduled to defend against Sasha Banks and Naomi. The match is scheduled to take place on Sunday April 3. Opinion: I’m not wild on this kind of addition as it feels like a way to cram in everyone that can be placed into a match. It’s another way to see them. There is a lot of programming in WWE and some of it can be a little bit different than others. While you get to see a lot of traditional in-ring action, you can also see some material that focuses on the behind the scenes aspects of the wrestlers’ lives. That can make for some interesting television time and now we will be seeing a fresh take on the idea. WWE broadcaster Corey Graves and Monday Night Raw’s Carmella have announced that they will be starring in an upcoming reality web series called Corey And Carmella. The series will premiere on WWE’s YouTube channel on February 28 and there is no word on how many episodes will be produced.
