That will work. Ever since it was announced that The Undertaker would be the headliner in the WWE Hall of Fame, Class of 2022, many have been wondering who will be the person that inducts him. That question was answered on today’s episode of the Pat McAfee Show. Vince McMahon was a guest on today’s show and announced that he will be the one that officially inducts The Undertaker into the WWE Hall of Fame. That’s something on paper. With WrestleMania 38 less than forty days away, imost of the card should be set, along with several of the details already locked in. That is not the case though, as only four matches have been announced for the two night event with several wrestlers’ status still in limbo. Very little has been set in stone, but WWE did take one minor step forward this week. WWE has announced that the SmackDown Women’s Title match between champion Charlotte and Ronda Rousey will take place on the first night of WrestleMania 38. This is the first match to be designated for an official night, with the other three still being up in the air. Last year, WWE announced the night for each match on the WrestleMania card in advance of the show. There is no word on when the rest of the matches, if any, will have a night designated in advance this year. WrestleMania 38 takes place on April 2 and 3. One more time? Retirements in wrestling are not quite the same thing as retirements in other sports. You don’t often see mainstream athletes returning to play after several years off, as there isn’t exactly a way to participate in one game. Wrestling is different though, as there is always a way for someone to come back to the ring for a one off match. That is what another legend is planning to do. WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. has announced that he will be returning to the ring for a tag team exhibition match at a Realty of Wrestling event in Canton, Texas on January 22. Booker will be teaming with Gaspar Hernandez to face Garza and Dexx. Since retiring from the ring in 2012, Booker has wrestled four matches, three of which have been for Reality of Wrestling. Can you future endeavor him? Whether you like him or not, there is no one in the history of wrestling as powerful as Vince McMahon. For about forty years, McMahon has run the largest wrestling promotion in the world and more or less taken over the industry. There are some people who are not exactly thrilled with what he has been doing as of late though, and now a wrestling legend is doing something about it. Former WWE star Virgil has posted a tweet, saying that he has officially released McMahon from his duties. Therefore, he will be overseeing all all decisions in the company. He also thanks everyone for finally coming to their senses. Please don’t be bad. Every now and then, you see a wrestler who is just above several others. That might be due to a variety of reasons, but there is something about them that makes you know you are seeing something special. While they might be great, it does not mean they are invincible though, and unfortunately it seems that we might not be seeing one for a bit. WWE has announced that United Kingdom Champion Walter has suffered an injury to his left hand and will be out of action. The injury took place during a backstage altercation with Ilja Dragunov following this week’s NXT. This means that his scheduled title defense for next week against Dragunov has been postponed. There is no word on if this is a storyline injury or a way to cover for a legitimate injury. It is not clear when Walter will be back in the ring or if the title will have to be vacated. People are going to have opinions. The biggest wrestling story of the year has been WWE’s rapid fire releases. Dozens of wrestlers and WWE names have been released from the company over the course of the year and even more were let go this week. Some of the names were surprising choices and now the reactions to those releases have started to come in. WWE released fourteen names from the company on Friday, including Tyler Breeze, Fandango, August Grey, Marina Shafir, Killian Dain, Tino Sabbatelli, Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari, Chase Parker, Matt Martel, Samir Singh, Sunil Singh, Curt Stallion and Arturo Ruas. Welcome back. One of the biggest wrestling stories of the year has been the string of WWE releases. Several stars have been let go from the company and it has opened up the floodgates to smaller promotions. Suddenly there are a lot of talented wrestlers available and some of them have already been signed. Now another one has been and they got to make a big announcement. Former WWE star and Women’s Champion Mickie James made her debut on this week’s episode of NWA Powerrr. During the show, it was announced that the NWA will present its first ever all women’s pay per view, entitled NWA In Power, on Saturday August 28 in St. Louis, Missouri. James will serve as the executive producer of the show, which has no matches announced as of late. If you can’t trust your own show, who can you trust? WWE has a lot of television shows, to the point where you might not even know all of them off the top of your head. One of the lesser known shows is Main Event, which is typically just a recap show. As it turned out though there might have been some breaking news on this week’s episode. Amazingly enough, that turned out to be premature. Just yesterday, it was reported that Asuka vs. Becky Lynch for the SmackDown Women’s Title had been confirmed for next month’s Royal Rumble on Main Event. Together again. It seems that we can’t go a single day without having something happen between the now split up Nikki Bella and John Cena. The couple, who was scheduled to be married earlier this month, broke up instead and drama has ensued ever since. The story began to take different paths every day with one bit of breaking news after another. It seems possible that the two could get back together, which would start with the two being in the same place. As it turns out, that seems to have started.
