NXT LVL Up Results – February 24, 2023

February 25, 2023

NXT LVL Up Date: February 24, 2023 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Blake Howard, Byron Saxton It’s another LVL Up and again I’m not sure what to expect. The best formula around here seems to be having some midcard NXT stars in the main event and the younger stars filling in the rest of the show. That has worked well in the past, but you never know what direction the show is going to take. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Axiom vs. Kale Dixon Dixon works on the arm to start but Axiom reverses into an armbar of his own. A springboard kick to the side of the head drops Dixon but he’s right back with some clubbing forearms. They trade kicks to the ribs until Dixon gets two off a delayed vertical suplex. Axiom strikes his way out of a chinlock and there’s a high crossbody. The Golden Ratio finishes for Axiom at 4:35. Result: Axiom b. Kale Dixon – Golden Ratio (4:35) Myles Borne and Tank Ledger are different on paper but they can win together tonight..

Survivor Series 2022 Results

November 27, 2022

Survivor Series 2022 Date: November 26, 2022 Location: TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Michael Cole, Corey Graves, Wade Barrett It’s time for WarGames and no that still doesn’t feel right to say. We have a men’s and women’s version of the match here and that should make for a great core of the show. There are only five matches on the card but double WarGames is probably enough to carry things, especially with the Bloodline vs. Team Drew McIntyre as the likely headliner. Let’s get to it. The opening video is a five minute Ozzy Osborne music video, with Ozzy saying Welcome To WarGames at the end. Team Belair vs. Team Damage Ctrl Bianca Belair, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch, Mia Yim Bayley, Iyo Sky, Dakota Kai, Rhea Ripley, Nikki Cross If you’re not familiar, we have two teams of five, with each team sending in a person for dive minutes. After that, the team who won the advantage coming into the match (Damage Ctrl in this case) will send in its second w..

NXT LVL Up Results – October 28, 2022

October 31, 2022

NXT LVL Up Date: October 28, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Sudu Shah, Byron Saxton And here we go again, with more of the same batch of people having matches against each other over and over. There are very few people who can rise up the ranks (or Level/LVL Up if you will), save for maybe Miles Borne in the last few weeks. Maybe that ride continues this week so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Stacks vs. Tank Ledger Tony D’Angelo is on commentary. Stacks bounces off of the bigger Ledger to start and it’s time to crank on the arm. Ledger runs him over with a shoulder and a slam sends Stacks outside. A kick to the face drops Ledger on the floor as D’Angelo invites Saxton to dinner next weekend. The chinlock doesn’t work very well for Stacks and the comeback is on including a running crossbody for two. Stacks is right back with some running shots to the face, setting up a running elbow drop for the pin at 5:41. Result: Stacks b. Tank Ledger ..

NXT LVL Up Results – October 21, 2022

October 25, 2022

NXT LVL Up Date: October 21, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Sudu Shah, Byron Saxton It’s the second week of the Saxton Era and that means…well very little really, as Saxton isn’t as well versed as Nigel McGuinness and not quite as good of a commentator as him either. That more or less leaves the wrestling to carry things and that is a hit or miss bet around here at best. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Ikemen Jiro vs. Myles Borne Borne grabs a headlock to start but gets reversed into a cravate. Another headlock slows Jiro down but Borne hurts his knee on a leapfrog. Jiro is right on that knee with a leglock sending Borne over to the rope. The half crab has Borne in more trouble until he crawls over to the rope. The jacket punch rocks Borne but the reverses the Ikemen Slash into a small package for the pin at 5:20. Result: Myles Borne b. Ikemen Jiro – Small package (5:20) Javier Bernal is ready for Andre Chase because he learned at the sc..

NXT LVL Up Results – October 7, 2022

October 8, 2022

NXT LVL Up Date: October 7, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Matt Camp, Nigel McGuinness We are back to the show that changes so little week to week that I didn’t even realize I watched the same episode twice. Odds are there are going to be a lot of the same things this week as tends to be the case around here. That should mean some ok stuff, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up for anything spectacular. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Indi Hartwell vs. Sloane Jacobs Hartwell grabs a headlock takeover to start as we hear about Hartwell’s time in the Way. Jacobs slips out and hits a basement dropkick, only to get slammed down for two. A cravate goes on but Jacobs fights up and kicks her in the face a few times. Not that it matters as Hartwell hits the spinebuster for the pin at 3:17. Result: Indi Hartwell b. Sloane Jacobs – Spinebuster (3:17) Arianna James and Kiana James say don’t underestimate them. Myles Borne vs. Guru Raaj Borne wrestles him..

NXT LVL Up Results – September 23, 2022

September 26, 2022

NXT LVL Up Date: September 23, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Sudu Shah, Nigel McGuinness, Matt Camp The low level roller coaster continues with this show as I’m not sure what to expect. There have been some minor stories to set up some matches, plus a few appearances from bigger names. Then again, given this show’s track record, all of that will be dropped as soon as possible. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Dante Chen vs. Bryson Montana Montana runs him over to start so Chen grabs a headlock. Some takeovers give Chen some momentum and there’s a dropkick to stagger Montana. That’s about it for the offense though as Montana runs him over and hammers away on the mat. A Michinoku Driver gives Montana two and we hit the bearhug. Chen fights out and hits a clothesline, followed by a boot to the face. The double chop finishes Montana at 5:42. Result: Dante Chen b. Bryson Montana – Double chop (5:42) Myles Borne is ready for Andre Chase. Indi..

NXT LVL Up Results – July 29, 2022

July 30, 2022

NXT LVL Up Date: July 29, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Sudu Shah, Nigel McGuinness We’re fresh into the non-Vince McMahon era and that gives me a bit of hope that we might be in for something different around here. Then again those changes might not take place for a good while as WWE has more than enough to take care of with, you know, the company being all over the place. Maybe we can get a little something this week though. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Javier Bernal vs. Myles Borne They shake hands to start and it’s Borne taking him to the mat without much trouble. Borne does it again but grabs an armbar this time to mix it up a little. For some reason he lets it go so Bernal grabs a hammerlock, which is quickly tossed to the floor. Back in and Bernal goes with some shots to the face before grabbing a chinlock. Borne fights up and gets kicked in the face, setting up another chinlock. That’s broken up and Borne grabs a suplex, only t..

WATCH: Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre From Stomping Grounds 2019

June 23, 2021

The future is now. WWE has posted a new video to its YouTube channel in which they show the full match between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre from the Stomping Grounds 2019 pay-per-view. You can see the match in its entirety below: [This post contains video, click to play] From WWE.com: The brawl ensued before Reigns could even hit the ring, as the fervid rivals clobbered each other with one slug after another before taking the action inside the squared circle. After striking McIntyre to the outside, Reigns threw caution to the wind by going airborne and propelling from the ring and onto The Scottish Psychopath with a breathtaking clothesline that forced Shane McMahon to flee into the crowd. Intent on laying hands on Shane-O-Mac, Reigns gave chase but eventually found himself on the receiving end of a vicious attack by McIntyre. This distraction played a big part throughout this highly physical matchup with McMahon tugging the strings from outside the ring. After finally slowing..

Plans Revealed For A Stable Made Of Released WWE Stars

June 7, 2021

What could have been. Stables are one of the easiest ideas in all of wrestling. You take some people with a similar status or character or really anything you choose and put them together. It is an idea that has worked for decades and always will in one way or another. That is still the case in WWE, and now we know what might have been with a stable proposed not that long ago. Earlier this week, WWE released several wrestlers from the company, including Santana Garrett. According to Fightful Select, Garrett’s release was not a surprise to various people inside WWE. Garrett had been part of the main roster for just over a year but only appeared in three matches, including this year’s Royal Rumble. She did not have a match that lasted more than five minutes while part of the main roster. There were several creative plans pitched for Garrett, with the most prominent being part of a stable involving Vanessa Borne and Chelsea Green on one of the two main roster shows. Both Borne and Green..

It’s almost hard to imagine that MLW has this kind of a history but they have become a rather nice promotion and it’s cool to see them get to an important show like this. Let’s get to it. Fatu promises violence against Cima because it isn’t about wins and losses. Opening sequence. Davey Boy Smith Jr. is ready to shut Erick Stevens’ mouth because Stevens has been saying Smith is ducking him. Tonight, he’s knocking Stevens’ mohawk off and has the Von Erichs watching his back. Video: Main Roster Stars Invade NXT Live Event And Tease A Future Title Match

March 9, 2019

Welcome home. Last month at Elimination Chamber, Sasha Banks and Bayley made history by becoming the first WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. The move came with a bit of a surprise, as Bayley and Banks promised to defend their titles against anyone, either on Monday Night Raw, SmackDown Live or NXT. They even showed up on a recent episode of NXT, and now they’re going a step further. They’re NXT legends for a reason. Check out the Boss N Hug Connection back where it all started: [This post contains video, click to play] WWE has posted a video of an NXT live event from earlier this week where Banks and Bayley were in attendance in Largo, Florida to watch a women’s tag team match featuring the Sky Pirates (Io Shirai and Kairi Sane) vs. Aliyah/Vanessa Borne vs. Rhea Ripley/Reina Gonzalez. The match ended in a no contest with the Sky Pirates being quadruple teamed. Bayley and Banks ran in for the save and posed with the Sky Pirates after the match.
