It’s On: Hell In A Cell Match Set For WrestleMania 39

That’s a big one. We are less than three weeks away from WrestleMania 39 and the show is already starting to come together. There are several matches already set for the show but with two nights to fill, a lot more will need to be done. This can include matches that are not held under your typical rules, and now another one has been added to the card with some of the biggest stipulations WWE has to offer. United States Championship Match Set For Raw This Monday

The champion never stops. WWE United States Champion Austin Theory successfully defended his championship at the 2023 Elimination Chamber premium live event. However, it didn’t take long for his next challenger to be known. Following the event, WWE held its post-show press conference, with a number of guests. The first guest was Theory, who announced that he would be issuing an open challenge to anyone for his championship this coming Monday night on Raw. Immediately after that, Edge and Beth Phoenix took the stage and, after answering questions from the media, The Rated R Superstar took the opportunity to answer Theory’s challenge, setting up a match between the two. Elimination Chamber 2023 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

It’s the last big stop on the Road To Wrestlemania and for a five match card, four of them are big and the fifth includes some Hall of Famers. This show is pretty much stacked with either big matches or the awesome sounding main event. While the show is called Elimination Chamber, the whole thing is about Roman Reigns defending the World Title against hometown boy Sami Zayn. Let’s get to it. Edge/Beth Phoenix vs. Finn Balor/Rhea Ripley Somehow this is the least important match on the show as Edge’s war against the Judgment Day continues. In this case, he is bringing in the wife to go after Ripley, who is on her way to WrestleMania. This should be a good, long tag match as all four can do well in a spot like this one. That being said, it doesn’t help that this feels like it is only there to set up something at Wrestlemania. Monday Night Raw Date: February 6, 2023 Location: Amway Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Corey Graves We are less than two weeks away from Elimination Chamber and that means it is time to start getting more qualifying matches out of the way. In addition to that though, we have a cage match between Bayley and Becky Lynch which should be a heck of a showdown. That should be enough but Cody Rhodes will be somewhere as well. Let’s get to it. Long time in the making: We are on the way to Elimination Chamber, with the show taking place in less than two weeks. That does not leave long to build up the show, but the other problem is that the show’s namesake matches are going to take up twelve people from the roster. WWE is going to have to come up with something clever to fill in the card and now we know a bit more about the show. Extreme Rules 2022 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

We’re off to another WWE pay per view and in this case it is another show where they already seem to have moved on to getting ready for the next major shows. In this case it’s Extreme Rules, but WWE is already hyping up Crown Jewel next month. That is the kind of show that can make for some good violence, but the show has been hit and miss over the years. Let’s get to it. Edge vs. Finn Balor We’re starting big with an I Quit match, as Edge’s war against Judgment Day continues. This is the kind of a win that could mean quite a bit for Balor, but WWE has a history of giving Edge one big win after another in major spots. I’m not sure why they would do that here, but there is a very real chance that they could go in the wrong direction, as Balor needs the win FAR more than Edge. I’ll go with what should be the sane move here and pick Balor, likely due to Judgment Day threatening Rey Mysterio, or more likely Beth Phoenix. Catch Them Later? Vince McMahon’s Departure Shook Up Edge And Beth Phoenix Plans

Cancel that. We are less than a month removed from Vince McMahon leaving WWE and being officially gone from the company that he built into an empire. While that makes a huge difference on the business side of things, it is also going to make a huge difference in the television aspect. That seems to be the case when it comes to the status of some legendary names. According to PWInsider.com, the original plan for this week’s Monday Night Raw as well as Summerslam called for WWE Hall of Famers Edge and Beth Phoenix to appear. However, neither appeared and there is no word on when they will be back. The change is reportedly due to McMahon’s retirement, as the plans were changed. It is not clear on what the original plans for the pair were going to be. Royal Rumble 2022 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

It’s time for things to get serious in WWE and that makes things feel better. WWE tends to know how to get the bigger things right, at least when it comes to the build. That is the case again this time, as the card for the show is looking great. The Rumbles themselves will be fine, but you also have some good looking World Title matches and a pretty stacked mixed tag. Let’s get to it. Edge/Beth Phoenix vs. Miz/Maryse This is a match that you probably saw coming a few weeks ago as Maryse has been around from the start and Edge kept talking about Phoenix. The story itself has been a bit hit and miss though, as I’m not entirely sure why the four of them are still feuding. The idea of seeing Beth crush Maryse is appealing, though seeing Edge vs. Miz again isn’t the most thrilling. That’s the next step. There area lot of wrestling matches throughout any given show, but oftentimes, a match is not the end of a story. Sometimes the end of one match is designed to set up the next step in a story, which might involve even more people than in the first match. That is the case again, as a feud is getting even more personal than it was at the start. Earlier this month at WWE Day One, Edge defeated Miz in a grudge match. Miz’s wife Maryse attempted to interfered, but Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix made a surprise return and chased her off, allowing Edge to win. This week on Monday Night Raw, Edge and Phoenix interrupted Miz and Maryse to challenge them to a mixed tag team match. Miz accepted, and the match has been set for the Royal Rumble on January 29. Welcome back. There have been all kinds of wrestlers throughout the history of WWE that it is almost impossible to keep track of them all. Out of those wrestlers, there are some who stand out more than others and those are the wrestlers who are often remembered the most fondly. The best of those are enshrined in the WWE Hall of Fame, and now one of those wrestlers is back. Edge and Miz had a match at this weekend’s WWE Day One event. Miz’s wife Maryse interfered during the match, which drew out WWE Hall of Famer and Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix to chase Maryse off, allowing Edge to defeat Miz with a spear. Reunion time? It is rather rare to see a wrestling couple that sticks around. While they certainly do exist they can be few and far between. Those that do last are among some of the better known names in wrestling though and it can be fascinating to see them work together. That is what we are seeing at the moment, and now we might be getting another one together for the first time. This week’s Monday Night Raw featured the return of Edge, who was interrupted by the also returning Miz and Maryse. Edge and Miz argued back and forth on the microphone, with Maryse insulting Edge as well. According to PWInsider.com, there is a chance that the story could include the return of WWE Hall of Famer and Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix. NXT has a good history of setting up these title matches and then making them work, so hopefully they remember how to make it work. Let’s get to it.
