AEW Dynamite Results – February 22, 2023

Dynamite Date: February 22, 2023 Location: Footprint Center, Phoenix, Arizona Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz We have two weeks to go to before Revolution and that means it is time to start finalizing the card. That is a little tricky when one of the matches is going to be a sixty minute Iron Man match, but AEW does know how to throw in a few surprises. Tony Khan has promised a big surprise for tonight so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. All-Atlantic Title: Orange Cassidy vs. Wheeler Yuta Only Cassidy is defending after Yuta wants revenge for Cassidy and the Best Friends forgetting about him. They go technical to start and get some near falls each until Yuta bails to the floor. Back in and Cassidy uses Yuta’s own Seatbelt rollup for two, meaning it’s time for another breather outside. Cue Claudio Castagnoli to slap Yuta in the face to wake him up. That’s enough to make Yuta counter the Orange Punch and send Cassidy outside for some whips into the barricade. A posting..

AEW Dynamite Results – February 1, 2023

Dynamite Date: February 1, 2023 Location: Nutter Center, Dayton, Ohio Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz We are about a month away from Revolution and that means it is time to start hammering down the card. You can probably guess a good bit of it from here and that is a strong sign for the show. This week will feature a pair of title matches, including Jade Cargill’s latest conquest and Samoa Joe getting his rematch for the TNT Title. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jon Moxley vs. Hangman Page Moxley comes through the crowd with Wheeler Yuta and….his own father. Moxley starts the fight in the crowd and takes it into the audience as we are waiting on the opening bell. Page gets in a whip into a barricade and they keep brawling back to ringside. Moxley wraps the chair around Page’s leg but Page throws said chair at Moxley to take over. They finally get in the ring and slug it out, with Moxley’s eye busted open. Moxley is fine enough to grab an armbar but Page is back up ..

SmackDown Results – January 27, 2023

Smackdown Date: January 27, 2023 Location: Sames Auto Arena, Laredo, Texas Commentators: Wade Barrett, Michael Cole It’s the go home show for the Royal Rumble and that means we have some final pushes to make to get us to the big event. In this case, we are probably going to have some more names added to the Royal Rumbles, but there is also a Kevin Owens vs. Solo Sikoa match that will probably involve the Bloodline. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of the Trial Of Sami Zayn from Raw. Roman Reigns told Sami Zayn to not be seen until the Royal Rumble. The Usos and Solo Sikoa arrive and Sami Zayn sneaks in to thank Jey for having his back. If Jey ever needs anything, let him know. Sami leaves. Opening sequence. Rey Mysterio vs. Karrion Kross Scarlett is here with Kross. Rey snaps off the hurricanrana to start but gets tossed over the top for his efforts. They switch places though and the sliding sunset flip sends Kross into the barricade as we take a break. Back with Rey fighting..

AEW Rampage Results – January 6, 2023

Rampage Date: January 6, 2023 Location: Portland Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Portland, Oregon Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Chris Jericho We are in for the first of two hours of AEW TV this week. That could mean quite a few things, but we do have a TNT Title match as new champion Darby Allin defends against Matt Taven. It’s a little weird to have a title match on the show right before a title made of nothing but title matches, but it should be good. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Top Flight vs. Jon Moxley/Bryan Danielson The Club gets jumped from behind to start and it’s Darius dropkicking Moxley for a quick one. A standing moonsault gives Dante two but it’s off to Danielson to fire off the kicks in the corner. Moxley comes back in to hammer away before it’s a four way standoff. The double fights go to the floor, with Moxley and Danielson hitting running kicks against the barricade. Back in and Danielson puts Dante in a surfboard, allowing him to rip at the..

AEW Rampage Results – December 9, 2022

Rampage Date: December 9, 2022 Location: H-E-B Center, Cedar Park, Texas Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone We are a day away from Ring Of Honor Final Battle and odds are we are going to be seeing some of the very last build to the show. Other than that we have what should be a heck of a match between Konosuke Takeshita vs. Jon Moxley and Orange Cassidy defending the All-Atlantic Title against a mystery challenger. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jon Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita Moxley takes him down by the arm to start before it’s time to stand and trade chops. With that not working, Moxley bites Takeshita’s head in the corner and then chops some more. With Don Callis watching, Takeshita sends him outside and over the barricade as we take a break. Back with Moxley (bleeding) getting two off a piledriver but getting caught with a heck of a clothesline. Takeshita sends him to the apron, setting up a slingshot DDT for two back inside. What looked like a Blue Thunde..

AEW Rampage Results – November 18, 2022

Rampage Date: November 18, 2022 Location: Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey Commentators: Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Chris Jericho, Excalibur It’s the go home show for Full Gear and the show has quite a bit set up in advance. The main story is advancing a tournament whose finals have been moved from Full Gear to next week, which is the best option that AEW had all things considered. Other than that, we have a special guest star so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Full Gear Contenders Tournament First Round: Ricky Starks vs. Lance Archer We start in the back (as originally planned and with Starks in street clothes) with the two of them taking turns sending each other into a metal garage door. Archer sends a backstage worker into a bunch of chairs and now they head into the arena, with Archer dragging him towards the ring. A right hand knocks Starks most of the way over a barricade and they go into the crowd with Starks diving onto him. They get to ringside, where Archer runs hi..

AEW Dynamite Results – November 2, 2022

Dynamite Date: November 2, 2022 Location: Chesapeake Arena, Baltimore, Maryland Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz We are less than three weeks away from Full Gear and just over a month away from Ring Of Honor Final Battle so we are going to be in for some pretty important moments over the next few weeks. The big story coming into this week continues to be MJF, who seems to be teasing one heck of a face turn. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Darby Allin vs. Jay Lethal They start fast on the floor with Allin mounting him and hammering away despite his taped up ribs. The bell rings and they get inside, with Allin hitting a running crossbody out to the floor. Cue Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh with the latter deterring Allin from a dive, allowing Lethal to monkey flip Allin ribs first into the steps. Lethal puts him under the barricade and puts on the Figure Four before kicking at the leg on the apron. A German suplex on the apron rocks Allin and we take a break. Back with L..

WATCH: Rhea Ripley Messes With A Fan At WWE Live Event

That’s a different one. Fans are among the most important parts of any wrestling show as you need someone watching to make something matter. They can be at home or in the arena, but the latter gets a more special situation. Sometimes that is not as good as it might sound though, and that was the case for a fan at a recent live event, thanks to a certain WWE star. During a recent Sunday Night Stunner live event in Mexico City, Rhea Ripley was knocked to the floor and landed near the barricade. Before getting up, Ripley reached into the crowd and untied a fan’s shoelaces. Other fans can be heard laughing at what Ripley did as she rolled away from the barricade. Ripley was in Damian Priest’s corner this week on Monday Night Raw. This was pretty great. Check out what Ripley did to a fan: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: What you have here is a prime example of what makes live events special. It is something that you probably couldn’t get away with during a televised s..

AEW Rampage Results – October 28, 2022

Rampage Date: October 28, 2022 Location: Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, Connecticut Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone We’re back with another live Rampage this week and this time we have the World Champion in action as Jon Moxley is facing Matt Menard. That would likely be the big match of the show and after that, there is a good chance the star power goes a bit downhill in a hurry. I’m not sure what that is going to entail but we should be in for a fun show. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jon Moxley vs. Matt Menard Non-title and Angelo Parker is here with Menard. Hang on though as Moxley asks Menard for a minute before going after a distracting Parker. With that not working, Moxley sends him outside and there’s a ram into the barricade. There’s the back rake to Menard and Moxley bites away back inside. We hear that Mike Tyson will be on commentary next week as Menard has to block a Figure Four attempt. Parker gets in a shot that we don’t see (until the replay) a..

Monday Night Raw Results – October 17, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: October 17, 2022 Location: Paycom Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Commentators: Corey Graves, Kevin Patrick We’re rapidly approaching Crown Jewel and WWE has the main event covered with Logan Paul challenging Roman Reigns. That leaves some spots open for the rest of the card, some of which needs to be filled in soon. Odds are we’ll get some of that soon and you can probably guess some of the matches from here. Let’s get to it. We open with Bobby Lashley in the ring mid-promo, where he calls out Brock Lesnar. Cue Lesnar and they get in a fight before Lesnar can even make it to the ring, with Lashley getting posted on the floor. Lashley slips out of another posting and sends Lesnar into it instead. A spear through the barricade draws out wrestlers and officials to break it up but Lashley gets away. This time it’s Lesnar going through the announcers’ table (on the second attempt) to leave him laying. OC vs. Alpha Academy AJ Styles is here with the OC. Anderson ta..

AEW Rampage Results – October 14, 2022

Rampage Date: October 14, 2022 Location: Coca-Cola Coliseum, Toronto, Ontario, Canada Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz We’re still north of the border and that should make for a rather energized show. AEW has never gone international (at least on land) before and the crowds are often enough to carry the night. Hopefully they like Ring Of Honor stuff though, because that’s the main event this week. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jon Moxley/Claudio Castagnoli vs. Butcher and the Blade Bunny is here with Butcher and the Blade. It’s a brawl to start with the fight starting at the bell. They’re quickly on the floor with Blade being sent over a table and then chopped up against the barricade. We settle down to Moxley chopping Blade into the corner before it’s off to Castagnoli as we see Hangman Page watching in the back. A poke to the eye gets Blade out of trouble, meaning Butcher can come in to fight over a suplex with Castagnoli. Butcher gets muscled over and the running..

AEW Dynamite Results – July 27, 2022 (Fight For The Fallen)

Dynamite Date: July 27, 2022 Location: DCU Center, Worcester, Massachusetts Commentators: Jim Ross, Taz, Excalibur It’s another special event this week with Fight For The Fallen. There is another stacked card this week as well, as Jon Moxley is defending the Interim World Title against Rush, plus the return of Bryan Danielson. We are on the way towards All Out and it might be time to start setting things up for the pay per view. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Interim AEW World Title: Jon Moxley vs. Rush Moxley is defending and gets jumped on the floor to start. They get inside with Rush stomping away in the corner and we’re off to the neck crank. It’s back to the floor with Moxley busted open and William Regal not being pleased on commentary. Jose the Assistant offers a distraction but Rush misses a chair shot. Moxley is right back with a suicide dive into the barricade and some hard chops to take over for the first time. They get back inside with Moxley standing on Rush’s head..

NXT Results – July 12, 2022

NXT Date: July 12, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Wade Barrett It’s the week after the Great American Bash and we still have a title on the line this week. This time around, we have the Women’s Title on the line as Roxanne Perez is going to be challenging Mandy Rose for the NXT Women’s Title in an attempt to become a double champ. In addition, we have the fallout from JD McDonagh attacking NXT Champion Bron Breakker last week. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of the Great American Bash. Roxanne Perez has been attacked in the parking lot, with Cora Jade and medics checking on her. Giovanni Vinci vs. Apollo Crews They fight over a lockup to start and neither gets very far. Crews slips out of a slam but gets shouldered down. Some forearms from Crews rattle Vinci though and Crews is up with AJ Styles’ drop down into a dropkick. They head outside with Crews being dropped onto the barricade and we take a break. Back with Crews ma..

AEW Rampage Results – May 13, 2022

Rampage Date: May 13, 2022 Location: UBS Arena, Belmont Park, New York Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Chris Jericho We’re still in the weird time slot due to some kind of playoffs (basketpuck or hockball I believe) and that means a grand total of nothing on this show. Granted it means very few people are going to watch it, but it isn’t like that is AEW’s fault in this case. This week is going to have some Owen Hart Foundation tournament action so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Death Triangle vs. Butcher/Blade/Marq Quen Penta does the CERO MIEDO to Blade to start and then kicks him in the ribs. Pac comes in to hold Blade in place for the top rope double stomp What’s Up. Jericho’s voice sounds more than a bit off as Butcher comes in to take over on Pac. That doesn’t last long as Butcher is sent outside, allowing Fenix and Quen to come in. A pop up dropkick puts Fenix down and he gets sent outside for a whip into the barricade as we take a break. Back with Fenix fighting out of a f..

WATCH: Fan Jumps Barricade To Meet Cody Rhodes After SmackDown

That’s a nice thing to see. Fans are one of the most important parts of any live wrestling event as they bring the energy to the show. They also give the wrestlers feedback, as the booing and the cheering can tell the wrestlers how the show is going. Sometimes fans can get a little too intense though, and that seemed to be the case again this week. Thankfully, it wound up going rather well. Following this week’s SmackDown broadcast, Cody Rhodes defeated Seth Rollins in a dark match. After the match, Rhodes was taking pictures with fans at ringside when a young fan jumped the barricade in an attempt to get a picture. Rhodes and security took the fan back to his family, though Rhodes later tweeted about the incident and said that the fan did wind up getting his picture. This is kind of adorable. Check out the kid getting to see Rhodes: [This post contains video, click to play] This popped me. He ended up getting the pic ? ? Good kiddo — Cody Rhodes (@CodyRhodes) May 7, 2022 Opini..

AEW Dynamite Live Coverage And Results – May 4, 2022

Dynamite Date: May 4, 2022 Location: Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena, Baltimore, Maryland Commentators: Excalibur, Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone I’m not sure how but we’re less than a month away from Double Or Nothing. Last week’s show saw the announcement that CM Punk would be challenging Hangman Page for the World Title at the pay per view so at least they have the top match set up pretty far in advance. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Owen Hart Foundation Qualifying Match: Jeff Hardy vs. Bobby Fish Adam Cole is on commentary and Matt Hardy and Kyle O’Reilly are at ringside. Fish takes him into the corner to start and kicks away at the leg, setting up a dragon screw legwhip onto the other leg. They head outside with another dragon screw legwhip sending Hardy into the barricade and we take a break. Back with Hardy making a comeback and dropping Fish to go up top. The Swanton is broken up though and it’s the super Falcon Arrow to put Hardy down for two. Fish grabs the kneebar bu..

AEW Rampage Results – April 22, 2022

Rampage Date: April 22, 2022 Location: Petersen Events Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Commentators: Ricky Starks, Taz, Excalibur We’re back on Friday this week as AEW has been trying to ramp this show up a bit more in recent weeks. That means more star power, and this week it means a title match as Jade Cargill is defending the TBS Title against Marina Shafir. We also have a pretty big showdown between Adam Cole and Tomohiro Ishii. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Owen Hart Foundation Qualifying Match: Adam Cole vs. Tomohiro Ishii We go right to the ring (with Rocky Romero and Orange Cassidy at ringside) with Cole striking away but getting dropped with a chop. They head outside with Ishii hitting the post and getting driven into the barricade. Back in and Cole grabs the chinlock but seems to be favoring his arm. Some forearms don’t do much on Ishii, who knocks Cole into the corner with a single shot. Back up and Cole charges into a powerslam but slips out of a powerslam. The fi..

Ring Of Honor TV Results – April 13, 2022

Ring Of Honor Date: April 13, 2022 We’re still in the vault years and that has been a lot of fun so far. There is so much great material throughout Ring Of Honor’s history and it is a blast to pull out some random matches and see what else is in there. I have no idea what to expect here and that is always a nice feeling. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. From the 2nd Anniversary Show, February 14, 2004. Pure Wrestling Title: CM Punk vs. AJ Styles For the inaugural title. Feeling out process to start with Punk being sent into the ropes, which counts for the first (of three rope breaks). Styles gets backed up as well and grabs the rope for a reversal, which means a break of his own (even if it didn’t seem intentional). They run the ropes until AJ slips to the floor to go after Traci Brooks (Punk’s manager). The distraction lets Punk take him down with a dive but Styles sends him into the barricade. They fight into the crowd and you can’t see a thing. It’s Punk in control as they co..

AEW Dynamite Live Coverage And Results – April 6, 2022

Dynamite Date: April 6, 2022 Location: Agganis Arena, Boston, Massachusetts Commentators: Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross, Excalibur It’s pretty rare to have a lot of things going on when a company hasn’t had a major show, but that is the case this week. Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor event was basically AEW’s Wrestlemania weekend show and included the debut of Samoa Joe. He’ll be here tonight, and that means things could get a lot more interesting. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Adam Cole vs. Christian Cage They stare at each other for a bit until Christian grabs a headlock to grind away a bit. Cole breaks that up and sends him into the corner to take over. Christian knocks him outside though and it’s a baseball slide out to the floor. That means some chops up against the barricade but Christian’s foot gets caught in the ropes, allowing Cole to take over again. A hard whip into the corner rocks Christian and we take a break. Back with Christian knocking him to the floor again and..

WRESTLING RUMORS: Roman Reigns Possibly Injured At WrestleMania 38

That’s not good. An injury can take down any wrestler at any time and that can make for some very scary moments. It doesn’t matter if someone is the lowest on the card or the biggest star in the company. No matter who you are, you could get hurt and put on the shelf. It seems that there might be another injury scare in WWE and it involves one of their biggest stars. The main event of night two of WrestleMania 38 saw Roman Reigns defeat Brock Lesnar to unify the Universal and WWE Titles. Late in the match, Reigns could be heard saying “it’s out” after being caught in a Kimura arm hold. Photos from the match show a bulge on Reigns’ arm from around the same time. This should be seen as pure SPECULATION at this point as there is no word on what, if anything, is wrong with Reigns. Like I said. Roman Reigns got his shoulder split/separated/whatever in the Barricade spot. LEsnar also did something to his ribs not long after that. Both wrestled another 10+ minutes to that finish. Brock reali..
