On The Injured List: AEW Star Out 5-6 Weeks With Foot Injury, Possibly Longer

It can happen to anyone. Injuries are one of the great equalizers in wrestling as any wrestler can get hurt and put on the shelf at any time. You never want to see someone get hurt and left out of the ring for any amount of time, as their time on the injured list could go on for awhile. Now another AEW star has revealed that he is hurt, but he has an idea of how long he will be out. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: One Step: Huge Update On Jeff Hardy’s DUI Charges, Case Closed AEW’s Fuego del Sol has announced that he suffered a foot injury during a match in Sacramento, California last Sunday. The injury took place when del Sol hit a dropkick but his opponent landed on him, resulting in a dislocated foot. The foot was popped back into place during the match, but damage was still done. Del Sol also suffered a small fracture near his toe. He is expected to miss five to six weeks of action, though any possible ligament damage could extend his time up to about three months. Unfortunately I suffer..

Him Too: Another AEW Star Injured, Misses Scheduled Match

That explains a bit. There are all kinds of reasons for a wrestler to be out of action and one of the most common is an injury. You never know when someone is going to go on he shelf and it can keep them away from the ring for quite awhile. Occasionally you will see a promotion do something to hide the injury but now we know about another wrestler who needs some time off. Defy Wrestling has announced that AEW’s Eddie Kingston is injured and was forced out of his scheduled match on Saturday. F4WOnline.com is reporting that Kingston suffered the injury last Wednesday, though there is no word on what happened. Kingston did not appear live on either AEW show this week. He has not wrestled since the Jay Briscoe tribute show on January 18. [ BREAKING ] DEFY has learned that due to injury EDDIE KINGSTON will no longer be able to compete at tonight's YEAR6. A Long Time Coming: Injured AEW Star Makes Surprise Return On Dynamite

Welcome back! Injuries are one of the worst things in all of wrestling as someone is going to be left on the shelf for awhile. There are some that are far worse than others though and that can be absolutely devastating to a wrestler’s career. You never know when you are going to see someone go down, but that can lead to some surprise returns, which we saw this week. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: That Could Mean Something: AEW Star Posts Cryptic Message, Says “Bye” Adam Cole made his return to television this week on AEW Dynamite. Cole came to the ring and talked about being on the shelf for over six months and thanked the fans for supporting him throughout his absence. Cole said that he was back and wanted to reach the top of the mountain. This was Cole’s first appearance since August 2022, though he has not wrestled since June 2022, when he suffered a concussion at Forbidden Door. It’s great to have Cole back. The Delay Continues: AEW Wrestler Receives Bad Medical News

That’s never good to see. With so many wrestlers on the AEW roster, it can be difficult to keep track of what everyone is doing. There have been several names who have not been around for quite a while, which can raise the question of whether they will ever be back. One such star who has been gone for a very long time may not be around anytime soon due to an injury. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Could Be Awhile: Missing AEW Star Addresses Absence From Company AEW star Paige Van Zant has released a video on Instagram where she says her doctors believe she has broken three bones in her foot rather than the previously thought one. Van Zant is currently signed to AEW but has only wrestled once, winning in a six person match at Double Or Nothing in May and not appearing since. There is no word on when or if she will return to AEW TV. That’s not good. Check out the video, plus VanZant in AEW: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post conta..

It Was Messy: Four Top Stars Miss WWE Live Event In “Complete Nightmare”

It can happen to anyone. There are all kinds of events on WWE’s calendar every year, as the company runs its shows all over the country. Some of them are not held in front of television cameras and are just there for the live fans in attendance. That can make for some special moments, but a recent show was memorable for some rather negative reasons. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Could Be Awhile: Missing AEW Star Addresses Absence From Company This past Monday, WWE ran a pair of live events on the same night, with one show taking place in New York City while the other was held in Columbus, Ohio. However, according to PWInsider.com, several stars missed the Columbus event due to travel issues. Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Bobby Lashley and Alexa Bliss all missed the show. In addition, according to Fightful Select, several other talents were late to the event. The show’s main event had to be changed from Rollins vs. Austin Theory to Theory vs. Damian Priest vs. Johnny Gargano for the US Title. ..

Could Be Awhile: Missing AEW Star Addresses Absence From Company

It might be a bit. With so many talented wrestlers on the AEW roster, it can be difficult for everyone to find television time. At some point, a wrestler is going to be left off of television for one reason or another, some of which can be rather negative. This time a star is missing, but the only thing we know about it is that he does not seem overly bothered by his own absence. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: That Takes Guts: How Brock Lesnar Was Reportedly Called Out To Fight Backstage At WWE Event Earlier this week, a fan on Twitter asked AEW’s Shawn Spears where he has been lately in regards to appearing in AEW. Spears responded, saying “don’t hold your breath…not going there anytime soon.” Spears has only wrestled once for AEW since May, appearing on the October 14 Rampage. There is no word on any issues between AEW and Spears. He and his wife Cassie Lee, formerly known as Peyton Royce in WWE, are expecting their first son in the new year. Don’t hold your breath… Not going there anyti..

WATCH: Behind The Scenes Footage Of 45 Year Old WWE Star’s Final Match (Very Cool)

That’s special. Wrestlers are on the road for a very long time and spend several nights of their lives wrestling in front of a crowd. Those shows can probably run together rather easily after awhile, with one show not standing out from the others. Occasionally there will be a match that is more memorable though, and that was likely the situation earlier this month for one WWE star. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Ouch: Top WWE Superstar Out With Injury For Longer Than Expected On December 11, Jamie Noble wrestled his first match in over seven years, teaming with Braun Strowman and the Brawling Brutes to defeat the Bloodline in what was described as Noble’s final match. The match took place in Noble’s home state of West Virginia and headlined the live event. WWE has now released a video looking at the match, including behind the scenes footage of Noble before, during and after the match. Several wrestlers and wrestling personalities talk about Noble and his career as well. It was a heck of a ..

A Relief: Logan Paul Reveals Very Good News On His Knee Injury

That could be a lot worse. One of the worst things about an injury is wondering how long someone is going to be out of action. A wrestler can get banged up out of nowhere and need to go on the shelf for awhile, but the question becomes just how long. It can be great news when something is nowhere near as bad as it seems and thankfully that seems to be what is happening with a WWE star. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: RKNo: Another Bad Randy Orton Injury Update Earlier this month at WWE Crown Jewel, Logan Paul unsuccessfully challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Following his loss, Paul revealed that he had suffered multiple knee injuries during the match. Paul has released a video on his YouTube page, announcing that he has suffered a torn MCL and will need a minimum six weeks to heal. Paul also revealed that he will be undergoing physical therapy and did not mention needing surgery. There is no word on when he will be returning to the ring. Paul does have something to..

Huge Grudge Match Added To WWE Crown Jewel Card

Three on each side. We are coming up on one of the biggest WWE shows of the year with November 5’s Crown Jewel. The show will be taking place in Saudi Arabia as part of WWE’s working relationship with the kingdom. The events often feature major stars in showdowns, some of which have been built up for white awhile. Now another match has been set up for the show, featuring quite a bit of star power. This week on Monday Night Raw, a six man tag was announced for Crown Jewel, featuring AJ Styles and the OC against Judgment Day. The feud started last week when the OC returned to help Styles fight against Judgment Day after several weeks. As a result, Judgment Day issued the challenge, with Styles accepting for the team. The match is the second announced for the card, following Logan Paul challenging Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Universal Title. Opinion: You almost had to know that this match was coming sooner or later so it makes sense to put it on the biggest upcoming show WWE has..

Major Update On Charlotte’s WWE Return

Welcome back soon. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be easy to forget one of them when they are not around for awhile. That is something that can happen to anyone if they are gone long enough, but it also means that there can be a big moment when they come back after a layoff. That is going to be taking place at some point in the future, as a top star is on the way back. This weekend at WWE Extreme Rules, a vignette aired announcing that Charlotte would be returning to WWE soon, though no specific date was given. Charlotte has been absent from the company since May over her wedding and what were described as personal reasons. There is no word onw hat she will do when she returns to WWE or which roster she will be on. Opinion: Charlotte being back is going to be a big boost to the women’s division as she is one of the biggest stars it has ever seen. You can almost guarantee that she will be right in the title picture as soon as she gets back, but it could be interestin..

Another WWE Star Out Of Action With Injury

That could slow him down. There are few things in wrestling that are as unfortunate as an injury. Someone can be on an absolute roll and have everything slowed down all at once. One of the worst parts is having to wait awhile before the severity is known, as some injuries can keep a star on the shelf for a long time. Hopefully that isn’t the case again, as a WWE star is hurt. This week’s Monday Night Raw featured a match between Angelo Dawkins and Solo Sikoa. Dawkins’ partner Montez Ford accompanied him to the ring, albeit with his foot in a cast. There is no word on how severe Ford’s injury is, when it took place or how long he will be out of action. Ford last wrestled on the September 25 WWE live event when the Street Profits defeated the Alpha Academy. Opinion: That is never something you want to see and what matters the most is that Ford is able to get back in the ring sooner rather than later. Ford is an amazing athlete but there is only so much that you can do on one good leg. ..

WRESTLING RUMORS: Character Change Teased For Alexa Bliss, Bray Wyatt Reunion?

Back to the old one? Finding the right character is one of the most important things that a wrestler can do. Having the wrong presentation can doom a wrestler’s potential from the get go, but sometimes there are changes made after someone has been around for awhile. That means an adjustment might need to be made, and now the seeds for such a change could have been planted. This week on Monday Night Raw, Bayley defeated Alexa Bliss in the show’s main event. Throughout the match, commentary suggested that Bliss was not being herself and was not putting her all into the match. According to Wrestlingnews.co, this was designed to suggest that Bliss had lost a step since her return to television. This is taking place at the same time as the White Rabbit mystery continues across WWE TV, which may have to do with the return of Bray Wyatt and a potential reunion with Bliss. There is nothing to confirm that this is the case as of yet. Opinion: I would hope that this isn’t the case, as the idea..

Details On Kenny Omega’s AEW Locker Room Speech, Statements Possibly Taken Wrong

That’s certainly something to say. AEW’s locker room is in a bit of a state at the moment and that is the kind of thing you do not want to see happen very often. The company is having some issues with its wrestlers and its leadership, which has been going on for more than awhile now. One of the company’s leaders tried to help things out with it not that long ago, but some of the details might not have been so well received. Back on August 24, AEW held a talent meeting before Dynamite. Several veterans spoke at the meeting, including Kenny Omega. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Omega took more of a “tough love” approach, including a statement that he would not have hired eight out of the ten wrestlers present. Omega was said to be joking with Will Ospreay when he said this, but the comment was taken seriously by others, who were reportedly upset. He went on to say that the locker room energy was different than when AEW began, which was suggested as Omega wanting to retu..

NXT LVL Up Results – August 5, 2022

NXT LVL Up Date: August 5, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Sudu Shah, Nigel McGuinness The Road to Clash At The Castle is on and will have absolutely no bearing on this show whatsoever. I’ve again give up on trying to figure out what is going on with this show from one week to another and that means we are probably in for random matches this week. That works to an extent, but it can get a little tiresome after awhile. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Dante Chen/Guru Raaj vs. Bryson Montana/Damaris Griffin Raaj and Montana grapple a bit until Raaj hits a dropkick to stagger him. Chen comes in for a chop but Montana is back with a clothesline. Griffin hits a chokebomb into a neck crank as we talk about Rhea Ripley hurting Dominik Mysterio. With that broken up, the double tag brings in Chen and Montana with the former cleaning house. Everything breaks down and Griffin misses a middle rope splash, allowing Chen to hit a double chop for the pin a..

You’re Going To Be Seeing A Lot More Of Edge For Awhile

He’ll be around. We are in a new era in WWE and that means it is time to start making some changes. This includes a variety of wrestlers getting to be on television more often than they have been in recent times, which will include some fresh faces. At the same time, there are going to be some veterans around again and that will be the case going forward on Monday nights. Edge made his return to WWE TV at Summerslam and appeared this week on Monday Night Raw, where he promised to take out Judgment Day. According to PWInsider.com, Edge is currently scheduled to appear on every Monday Night Raw until Clash At The Castle on September 3. Edge does not currently have a match scheduled for the show and has not wrestled since Hell In A Cell on June 5. Opinion: It makes sense to have Edge appear on TV more often as he is one of the bigger names that WWE has at the moment. I could see him having a big match at Clash At The Castle and it would be nice to see him getting the TV time to set thin..

There’s The News: Update On Cody Rhodes’ Injury Status (And It’s Not Good)

That’s a long time off. Cody Rhodes made his surprise return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 and has since taken WWE by storm. Rhodes has become one of the biggest stars in WWE and even headlined last weekend’s Hell In A Cell event. However, Rhodes has suffered a major injury and that is the kind of thing that could slow him down for awhile. Now we know just how long that might be. Before Hell In A Cell, Rhodes suffered a torn pectoral muscle while training, though he did manage to wrestle his scheduled match anyway. This week on SmackDown, Michael Cole announced that as a result of the injury, Rhodes will be out of action for about nine months. Rhodes underwent successful surgery to repair the injury on Thursday in Birmingham, Alabama. Update: After successful surgery, @CodyRhodes will be out of action for nine months. #SmackDown pic.twitter.com/5ITIvRzPcL — WWE (@WWE) June 11, 2022 Opinion: This is the bad news that you probably knew was coming but that doesn’t make it any better. Ther..

Crown Him: New Match Set For AEW Double Or Nothing

The card keeps growing. We are less than four days away from AEW Double Or Nothing and the card is all but set. The matches have been made for quite awhile not, but this time around there are some gaps that still need to be filled in. This includes a few tournament finals, and now we know who will be taking part in one of them, with a prestigious prize on the line. This week on AEW Dynamite, Samoa Joe defeated Kyle O’Reilly to advance to the finals of the men’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament. As a result of his win, Samoa Joe will face Adam Cole at Double Or Nothing on Sunday May 29. The match will mark the finals of the first ever edition of the tournament, as well as the first time that the two of them have faced off in their careers. Opinion: This is the kind of match that is certainly intriguing, as I could see either of them winning. What matters here is having the best match they could, as I can imagine that the goal will be to put on a match to honor Hart. Samoa Joe winning w..

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – April 11, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: April 11, 2022 Location: Little Caesar’s Arena, Detroit, Michigan Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton We’re back to normal this week as the Wrestlemania Weekend glow is gone. Now we get to see what the regular crowds are like and how they respond to what WWE is offering. At the same time, we get to see how things go when WWE doesn’t have to try as hard. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Cody Rhodes’ return at Wrestlemania and wanting to become the WWE Champion to honor his father. Here is the Miz for MizTV. Miz wastes no time in introducing Cody Rhodes, though he does make sure to insult the fans a few times. Miz accuses Cody of taking too long to come out but Cody says it has been awhile since he was in front of a crowd like this one. Hang on as Cody gets to pose a bit more and the fans certainly like him. We hear about Cody being the grandson of a plumber but without the Rhodes name, he would just be a plumber. Cody says it would be ..

How WWE Reportedly Changed Plans For A Recent Title Change

That was different. WrestleMania 38 weekend has come and gone and there was a lot taking place in WWE. In addition to the namesake WrestleMania pay per view, there was also a stand alone NXT event, plus Monday Night Raw. While these two shows rarely have anything in common, that was the case this week, and now we know something more about how fast things changed. On Saturday, Dolph Ziggler retained the NXT Title over Bron Breakker at Stand & Deliver. Two days later, Breakker took the title from Ziggler in a match not announced until the night of the show. According to Wrestling Observer Live, the original plans called for Ziggler to hold the title for “awhile”, with a commercial airing during Monday Night Raw advertising Ziggler as champion. While not confirmed, the theory was that Breakker was to be called up to the main roster but then WWE changed their minds. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that WWE tends to do time after time, which doesn’t exactly make things that much better..

Bad Sign For The Future Of This Monday Night Raw Star

It was nice while it lasted. A new star showing up on one of the major WWE television shows is an exciting moment. You might be seeing one of the next big things in the company, though sometimes it can take awhile to click. Other times it can be pretty clear that someone is done from the start, but this time it seems that we have seem someone get their legs cut out from underneath them for good. This week’s Monday Night Raw features Omos defeating Commander Azeez in a match that did not last three minutes. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this is a bad sign for Azeez’s future, as he and Omos are both giants. WWE paired them together and had Omos dominate the match, which means that they are only interested in pushing him of the two. Azeez debuted his current character last year on SmackDown as Apollo Crews’ bodyguard. Opinion: I don’t think it’s any secret that Azeez is not one of the top stars in WWE at the moment, but this was the kind of loss that you see to more or less end..
