Ouch: NXT Star Suffers Detached Retina During Attack Earlier This Week

That’s a nasty one. There are all kinds of injuries in the wrestling world and you never want to see any of them happen to someone at any time. They can keep someone out of action for any span of time and unfortunately there is no way to guarantee that they don’t happen. Now another one has happened to a prominent star, but thankfully it might sound worse than it really is. WWE Tried To Get These Three Celebrities For Summerslam

What could have been. There is a long history of wrestling interacting with more mainstream celebrities. It makes sense for the two worlds to come together as it can be interesting to see how things go. WWE has done this several times over the decades and continue to do so to this day. They were trying to do the same for this year’s Summerslam but it did not exactly work out. Despite its efforts, WWE will not be able to bring in three celebrities for Summerslam. According to PWInsider.com, WWE was hoping to have Mike Tyson narrate the opening video to the show, which will focus on Roman Reigns vs. John Cena. There is no word on if WWE will be able to land another celebrity to narrate the video. Tyson is a WWE Hall of Famer, who has also appeared for AEW. According to Fightful Select, WWE was also hoping to bring in Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B for the show but neither will be attending. WWE wanted Megan Thee Stallion to appear in some capacity with Bianca Belair but was told that ..

This could shake things up a bit. The biggest story going at the moment is of course the Coronavirus pandemic, which is still changing various aspects of everyone’s day to day lives. That is the case with the wrestling industry as well and it seems likely to be the case for a long time to come. It seems that we are going to see a big adjustment to one of the biggest shows of the year. The official website of Allegiant Stadium, the home of Summerslam 2021, has issued a statement saying that everyone attending any upcoming events, including Summerslam, must wear a mask. There is currently no vaccination requirement for the show, though that may change in the future. Fan And Reporter Says He Was Targeted By NXT Management At Taping

That might not go well. The Coronavirus pandemic shook up the wrestling world in several ways and things are only starting to get back to normal. WWE has allowed fans back into their arenas for major shows for the last few events and NXT has allowed a small group of fans since the beginning of the summer. Now it seems that one fan in particular will not be around for the time being. Wrestling Observer Newsletter correspondent JJ Williams has posted a series of tweets saying that he was “singled out” and removed from recent NXT TV tapings due to working for the Newsletter. Williams is a regular at NXT tapings and has reported on them since 2014. According to Williams, his ID was photographed and all of the photos he had taken were deleted. He was also told that his social media was being monitored. As a result, Williams has said that he will no longer be attending NXT tapings. AEW President Tony Khan has said that he will see Williams at Dynamite in Jacksonville next week. Last week I..

WWE Has Some Special Rules For Returning Fans

I guess they’re covered? The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the way the world works and wrestling is certainly the same. There has not been a full crowd at a major wrestling show in over a year and that has caused quite a few issues. Things are starting to turn around though, with most major promotions announcing a return of live fans. This includes WWE, who is bringing back fans, albeit under some conditions. WWE has released a liability waiver for fans attending their shows beginning in July, saying that fans have the chance to be in potential danger. This includes the chance of catching the Coronavirus or “similar infectious disease”. Attending the show means that the fan assumes any and all risk, including potential death. WWE returns to live events with fans on July 16 with SmackDown at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. In consideration for being permitted to attend WWE LIVE EVENTS (the “Event”), which will include without limitation, me voluntarily attending the Event itse..
