Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. They Have A Plan: Update On 2023 WWE Hall Of Fame Inductions

They might want to hurry up. We are just over four weeks away from WrestleMania 39 and that means things need to come together fast. While the main focus will be on the two night showcase in SoFi Stadium, there are several other events taking place throughout the week. This includes the Hall of Fame induction ceremony the Friday night before WrestleMania, but this year seems a bit different. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He’s Out There: Former World Champion Officially A Free Agent, Possibly Heading To WWE As of Friday, March 3, WWE has not made any official announcement about this year’s Hall of Fame class. According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE is still planning on an induction ceremony, which is included in the ticket to the weekend’s SmackDown. WATCH: WWE Releases First WrestleMania Movie Trailer Featuring Seth Rollins And Becky Lynch

Tis the season. We are less than six weeks away from WrestleMania 39 and that means it is time to start setting up the biggest weekend of the WWE’s year. This year’s show takes place in Los Angeles, California and just like last time, WWE is airing some parody movie trailers to tie into the Hollywood theme. The first one has already aired and features two of the bigger stars in WWE today. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: That Looked Awful: WWE Star Helped From Elimination Chamber, Falls Going Down Stairs WWE debuted the first of its WrestleMania movie trailer parodies over the weekend at Elimination Chamber. The trailer features Seth Rollins as the Joker, dancing down a set of stairs. At the bottom, he runs into Batman, played by Becky Lynch but not wearing a mask. The two talk, ultimately agreeing that Lynch, who is not named, is in fact The Man. There is no word on when the next trailer will be released. This was different. She Has A Goal: Bayley Vents About Her WrestleMania History, Makes Promise For This Year

She’s not having it. We are about six weeks away from WrestleMania 39, which will take place on April 1 and 2. WWE has turned the event into the biggest wrestling showcase of the year with some of the most important matches in history taking place there. It means a lot for a wrestler to make it onto the card and now a WWE star is venting her frustrations at missing previous WrestleManias. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He Did It Again: Roman Reigns Passes Yet Another Milestone As WWE Universal Champion This week on Monday Night Raw, Bayley lost a triple threat match for a chance to get into the Elimination Chamber for the WrestleMania 39 Raw Women’s Title match. They worked well the first time. WWE has been around for a very long time and has a deep history. The company has done a lot of things over the years, with some of them being rather memorable. Those moments are often things that only happened once due to one reason or another, but now WWE might be bringing back some of the most memorable vignettes they have ever done. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: WWE Star Teases Major Turn After SmackDown Goes Off The Air Back in 2005, WrestleMania 21 was held in Los Angeles, California, with a theme of WrestleMania Goes Hollywood. To help build the show, WWE released several parody movie trailers, featuring stars portraying famous movie characters. According to WrestleVotes, WWE is planning to create more of the parody trailers for this year’s show. WATCH: Seth Rollins Seems To Plant Seeds For Rumored WrestleMania Match

They’re planting seeds. We are less than two months away from WrestleMania 39 and WWE has already started announcing the card. There have been multiple title matches set for the show, but several matches still need to be made official for Los Angeles. Since it is WrestleMania, a lot of these matches have to be planned far in advance. We may be seeing some of that work being done now. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Checking In: The Miz Set To Represent WWE In Rather Cool Event Seth Rollins appeared on the Pat McAfee Show this week (with his appearance beginning at around 1:39:00) and talked about Logan Paul. Rollins talked about how he does not believe Paul truly loves wrestling and claimed that Paul was only coming into Rollins’ sport to make money. He also suggested that Paul would not say anything to his face and does his bragging on social media. It’s A Matter Of Time: Interesting Detail On Lita’s WWE Return

They had a plan for that. We are coming up on WrestleMania 39 but there is one more major stop before we get out to Los Angeles. That would be Elimination Chamber, which is going to need quite the lineup of its own. WWE has already started setting things up for the show, and it now seems that they had planned to get the ball rolling on one of the bigger matches even sooner than expected. This week on Monday Night Raw, Lita made a surprise return to help Becky Lynch defeat Bayley, who had Damage Ctrl assisting her. Soon after, a report came out saying that this was to set up a six woman tag at Elimination Chamber, also involving Trish Stratus. According to Wrestling Observer Live, Lita helping Lynch was the original plan for the previous week at Raw XXX, when the Lynch vs. Bayley cage match was canceled due to timing issues. NXT Date: February 7, 2023 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Booker T. We’re done with Vengeance Day and just shy of two months away from Stand & Deliver. It looks like we have a title match set up, as Carmelo Hayes stared down Bron Breakker, who retained the NXT Title in the main event. That should give us a clear path to Los Angeles so let’s get to it. We open with the recap of Vengeance Day. Here are Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes to open things up. Williams talks about how Hayes turned seer Apollo Crews into Stevie Wonder before Hayes brags about his win too. Hayes knows his destiny and there is one man waiting for him. Cue JD McDonagh to cut him off and say Hayes is entitled. While Hayes wants a private room at the club, McDonagh sends people to the emergency room. The match is made for later. Cody Rhodes and Rhea Ripley are the Royal Rumble winners and are on their way to Los Angeles, but the Sami Zayn situation is going to have to be resolved at some point. Let’s get to it. Rampage Date: January 13, 2023 Location: Kia Forum, Los Angeles, California Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Chris Jericho We’re still in Los Angeles and you know that is going to mean a big show. I’m not sure what all it is going to entail but that is some of the fun of Rampage. This week’s Dynamite was a strong show so they have a lot to live up to this week. If nothing else, there is a street fight so that means violence. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. TNT Title: Juice Robinson vs. Darby Allin Allin is defending. Feeling out process to start with Robinson grabbing a waistlock to send the champ to the ropes. A headlock slows Robinson down but he grabs a belly to back suplex to escape. The backsplash only hits knees though and Allin is back with another headlock. It’s Broken: AEW Sets New Record With This Week’s AEW Dynamite

Nice job. AEW has grown by leaps and bounds since its debut less than four years ago. The company has already seen all kinds of new stars and traditions begin, including going to some rather large markets. That was the case earlier this week as the company took Dynamite to Los Angeles. While the show’s attendance might not have been a record, they did manage to break one important record. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Title Time! Who Left AEW Dynamite As The Trios Champions? This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite was held at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the show set a record for the most day of show walk up ticket sales in AEW history. While some of the original advances for the show were seen as “bad”, the eventual attendance was described as “healthy” and over a $700,000 gate for the event. It was a busy night. AEW knows how to bring it on the bigger stages and that is what should happen here. This week is centered around the ladder match to end the Best Of Seven series between the Elite and Death Triangle for the Trios Titles. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. That could be bad. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen in wrestling. Not only do they put a wrestler on the shelf for an undetermined period of time, but they also can happen out of nowhere. Some injuries are built up over time and then flare up during a match, which appears to have been the case with a national star who was appearing for a major independent show. Better Than Nothing? Tony Khan Announces Upcoming Weekly Ring Of Honor Series

It’s something. One of the more interesting wrestling stories of the year has been the roller coaster that is Ring Of Honor. After being shut down for several months to start the year, the promotion was purchased by AEW owner Tony Khan and somewhat relaunched on AEW television. However, Ring Of Honor did not have any kind of distribution of its own. Now things have changed in a big way. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: To The Other Side: Former NXT Champion Makes Surprise AEW Rampage Appearance During this weekend’s post Final Battle media scrum, Khan announced that Ring Of Honor will have its weekly television show on the HonorClub streaming service, which relaunched earlier this week. The service costs $9.99 a month and includes all of the Ring Of Honor video library. There is no specific date on when the show will launch, but Khan said an announcement was coming after the Los Angeles and Seattle shows. That would be a big one. We are coming close to the end of the year and that means WWE should already be planning for the next year, including WrestleMania 39. The show will be held on the grand stage in Los Angeles, California and that means WWE is going to need to pull out all the stops to make the show feel huge. After an inspired performance against Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel, Logan Paul gained a lot of notoriety from the greater wrestling community. Even with no real expectations that he would have defeated Roman Reigns, the consensus is Logan Paul stepped up to the moment in Saudi Arabia. He’s a big deal. There have been very few wrestlers in history who have reached the level of John Cena. Over the years, Cena has become one of the biggest stars in all of wrestling and while he is still mostly retired from the ring, it still means a lot when he does wrestle. The question is when that will take place again, and now we might have quite the clue about the answer. According to WrestleVotes in an interview with GiveMeSport, Cena “should” be wrestling at WrestleMania 39 on April 1 or 2 2023 in Inglewood, California. There is no word on when Cena will be returning to WWE TV or if he will be wrestling before then. WRESTLING RUMORS: Possible Sign Sasha Banks Is On Her Way Back To WWE

Even more evidence. One of the biggest wrestling stories of the year has been Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out on WWE and leaving the company back in May. The two were the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions at the time and the titles were vacated in the process. There have been rumblings that the two may be returning to WWE, and now we have a bit more evidence. According to Wrestlingnews.co, Banks, under her real name of Mercedes Varnado, is no longer being advertised for the Los Angeles Rams celebrity flag football game, scheduled for this Friday. Banks had been advertised as of Wednesday evening but an updated roster from Reddit does not include her. While there is no guarantee of what the change means, there is a chance that WWE pulled her from the event if she is returning to the company.
