LOOK: New White Rabbit Clue Points To Former WWE Star (This Is Weird)

Well that’s a turn. WWE has been running quite the mystery in recent weeks, but very little of it has been taking place on television. Instead, WWE has been doing more of an underground story, with incidents taking place at live events and a series of QR codes appearing on television, leading to more clues. There was another one this week and things got even weirder. A new QR code appeared this week on Monday Night Raw, taking you to a site that features a collection of WWE clips which comprise the words “Who killed the world? You did.” It also included coordinates for Prata Nevoso, Italy, the location of the Giant Pink Bunny. In addition, according to Ryan Satin, looking at the site’s source code shows the phrases “No man is ever truly good, no man is ever truly evil”. These were the lyrics to Aleister Black’s WWE theme music, though there is nothing to suggest that Black is on his way back to WWE. WHOAHHH! While searching for the QR code on here, because I was having trouble on m..

WATCH: Darby Allin Attacked By House Of Black At San Diego Comic Con

They’re making this a habit. AEW has a lot of wrestlers but a rather limited amount of television time. The company only had three hours a week between Dynamite and Rampage, which doesn’t leave much time for everyone to get out there. It can be smart to mix it up a little bit and take things outside of the arena for some flavor, and that is what some wrestlers have been doing. Earlier this month, AEW ran an angle at an autograph signing where Brodie King attacked Darby Allin. They ran a similar angle this weekend, where the entire House Of Black attacked Allin during a panel at the San Diego Comic Con. King and Aleister Black both jumped Allin and laid him on a table. This comes after the two sides, with Sting backing Allin up, have faced off on recent editions of AEW TV. It was a different way to go. Check out the House of Black’s latest assault on Allin: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I could go for more of something like this, as Allin has been decimated mult..

REVIEW: Halftime Heat 2019: Dusting Off The Classic

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Halftime Heat Date: February 3, 2019 Location: WWE Performance Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Shawn Michaels, Vic Joseph So since the four hours of content enough yesterday, we’ll take a look at this quick show here, which is comprised of one match from the NXT crew. That’s not the worst idea in the world, and since it’s just a quick thing that isn’t even half an hour, it’s hard to get too annoyed over the whole thing. Let’s get to it. Aleister Black/Velveteen Dream/Ricochet vs. Adam Cole/Johnny Gargano/T..

Malakai Black: Destined To Become AEW’s Top Heel?

Malakai Black made a huge statement upon his recent arrival in AEW. That statement came when he attacked Cody Rhodes on the July 7 edition of Dynamite. That attack later lead to a one-on-one match that aired live on the August 4 Dynamite. Black won that match in convincing fashion and in doing so, firmly cemented himself as a top player in Tony Khan’s company. So now that he’s making his way in his new environment, how long until he becomes the company’s top heel? Black’s fans are certainly not surprised by the impact Malakai has already made. They saw his potential when he was still Aleister Black in WWE. They also saw how that company mishandled him near the end of his main roster run. It was an all-too familiar song that unfortunately, has been repeated quite a bit in recent years. [This post contains video, click to play] Same Old Song And Dance “Creative has nothing for you.” Five simple words that have surely been used many times, with many different pro wrestlers, in the pa..

Cody Rhodes’ Possible Retirement: What It Means For AEW

Cody Rhodes’ Possible Retirement: What It Means For AEW Cody Rhodes shocked the pro wrestling world on the August 4 edition of AEW Dynamite when he teased a possible retirement from the ring. The tease came after Rhodes lost his main event match against the debuting Malakai Black. Black recently signed with the company after spending nearly five years with WWE, where he performed as Aleister Black. Black won the match against Cody in convincing fashion, establishing himself as a top player in AEW. After the pinfall, Rhodes took the mic and made a short tearful speech, after which he began to remove his boots. But before he could complete the act, Black reentered the ring and attacked him from behind. So what does all of this mean for AEW? [This post contains video, click to play] The Founder & The Face As the co-founder of All Elite Wrestling, Cody has been doing his part as the face of the brand since the company’s beginning in 2019. He’s been a top star and regularly featured as..

WWE Was Very Confused Over Another Released Wrestler

What a mess. The biggest WWE story of the year has been the string of releases from the company. WWE has released dozens of wrestlers over the first six months of the year and there is always a chance of more taking place. The releases have been from all levels of the roster, including some from NXT. This led to some extra details, and now another released wrestler has revealed another big one. Earlier this week, Malaki Black, formerly Aleister Black in WWE, made his AEW debut on Dynamite. This was a bit confusing, as Black had only been released from WWE for thirty five days, rather than the usual ninety days. After, a report stated that the issue was over a clerical error, as Black’s clause was not changed from thirty days to ninety when he was moved from NXT to the main roster. It turns out that might not be the only case. In an interview with Fightful, former WWE superstar Buddy Murphy revealed that WWE called him on June 3, the day after he was released, to ask if he wanted to e..

Amazing Reason Why Aleister Black Jumped From WWE To AEW So Soon

That’s a miscue. There are a lot of moving parts to WWE and several of them take place behind the scenes. While a lot of the focus is on what you see in front of the camera, there is a bunch of stuff going on elsewhere to keep the promotion working. At some point there are going to be some mistakes though and one of those took place in a pretty big way this week. The big story on this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite was the debut of Malakai Black, formerly known as Aleister Black. This comes just over a month after Black was released from WWE on June 2, or thirty five days later. WWE’s standard no compete clauses are ninety days for main roster wrestlers, meaning that something was up. It turns out to be something kind of embarrassing. According to PWInsider.com, Black was under the thirty day no compete clause for NXT wrestlers instead of the ninety day version. This was due to a clerical error when Black moved up to the main roster in 2019, as the length of the no compete clause was..

VIDEO: Released WWE Star Makes Surprise AEW Debut

One more off the list. The biggest series of stories in WWE this year has been the string of releases. All kinds of wrestlers have been let go from the company and the roster has been reshaped as a result. There is more to it than that though, as some wrestlers will have the chance to sign with other promotion. Some of them have already done so, and we got a big moment from one this week. This week on AEW Dynamite, Malakai Black, formerly known as Aleister Black in WWE and Tommy End elsewhere, made his debut. Black attacked Arn Anderson with Black Mass before laying out Cody Rhodes with the same move. During the segment, commentator Excalibur referred to Black as Tommy End and then as Black. There is no word on when Black may wrestle for the company. Black was released from the company on June 2 along with other wrestlers. This could be a big one. Check out the debut and what AEW might be getting: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] ..

WWE Reportedly Releases Tyler Breeze, Fandango, Others

The cuts continue. According to a report by Bleacher Report, by way of Fightful, WWE has come to terms on the releases of several wrestlers. This list includes Tyler Breeze, Fandango, NXT tag team Ever-Rise and 205 Live wrestlers Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari and August Grey. Fandango, who also wrestled for WWE as Johnny Curtis, seemed to acknowledge his release in the following tweet: Thank you @VinceMcMahon @TripleH @StephMcMahon Thank you for the last 14 years . I truly appreciate it!? — Fandango (@WWEFandango) June 25, 2021 This most recent wave of cuts, continues a trend that has been happening for a few months. Several releases have taken place during this time, including Tucker, Samoa Joe, Chelsea Green, Kalisto, Bo Dallas, Wesley Blake, Mickie, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Ruby Riott, Lana, Santana Garrett and Buddy Murphy. Adnan Virk and Tom Philips have also been released by the company. Breezango was pretty entertaining as a team: [This post ..

There Was A Subtle Tribute To A Released WWE Wrestler On SmackDown

Subtle but sweet. WWE has released several wrestlers from their contracts this year and that is the kind of thing that is going to shake up the company in a hurry. With so many names leaving, it can leave a lot of people wondering what to think. Most of the time, people are going to be wondering how the released wrestlers are responding, but what about the ones who are still in the company? Now we saw a little tribute from a WWE wrestler to a released name. Liv Morgan paid tribute to the recently released Ruby Riott during her match against Carmella on this week’s edition of SmackDown. Morgan wrestled the match with a band saying “RUE”, a nickname for Riott, on her leg. Riott was one of the wrestlers released on June 2, along with Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy, Lana and Santana Garrett. Morgan has also sent a tribute to Riott on her Instagram page. ?? pic.twitter.com/mzAjec2dFO — LIV Morgan (@YaOnlyLivvOnce) June 12, 2021 rue:( pic.twitter.com/tz0KQ8v8Pn — alexis ? ..

Update On What Might Be Next For Aleister Black

That’s a place to go. Earlier this year, several names were released from WWE in a few strings of roster shakeups. Some of these names were rather surprised, but it was pretty clear that a lot of the wrestlers would wind up going somewhere sooner rather than later. With some, it was a matter of when their no compete clause would expire, and now we know where one of them will be heading when their time is up. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, former WWE star Aleister Black is expected to sign with AEW when his ninety day no compete clause expires. However, the deal is not a guarantee. It is believed that Black’s no compete clause expires on August 31, which would make him available for AEW All Out on September 5. Black was released with WWE along with five other wrestlers on June 2, 2021. This could be interesting. Backstage Push To Bring Aleister Black Back To WWE

Friends in the right places? One of the biggest WWE stories of the year so far has been the WWE releases. Several wrestlers have been let go from the company over the course of the year and some of them are rather high profile. At the same time, several of them are a bit more surprising than others, but it seems that some of the remaining WWE locker room might have a few ideas. According to PWInsider.com, there is a push among some in WWE to bring Aleister Black back to the company. Black was one of the releases made earlier this month, along with several others on the same day. Black’s release is seen to have been premature, as he was ready to start a feud with Big E. There is no word on if anything will come of the push or who is included. Black was a former NXT Champion, who started his NXT career in 2016. He would go on to move up to the main roster in 2019, eventually teaming with Ricochet for a SmackDown Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania 35. Following a six month hiatus, Bla..

WWE RUMOR: Vince McMahon A Fan Of Certain WWE Star

His opinion matters. While he might not be as well received today as he has been in the past, there is no denying that Vince McMahon is still the most powerful and influential person in the wrestling industry. Anything McMahon does can make a huge difference in wrestling, with a single decision shaking up a wrestler’s career. That can be a good thing and seems to be the case again for a current WWE star. According to Wrestlingnews.co, McMahon is a supporter of Big E. and “will always find something for him to do.” This comes after Big E.’s feud with Aleister Black was abruptly canceled by Black’s sudden release. Big E. has not appeared on television since he was attacked by Black, including after Black was released from the company. There is no word on what Big E. will be doing next or when he will be appearing again. Big E. certainly has done some different stuff in his career. Check out some of his moments: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, cli..

Here’s How WWE Wrestlers Were Told About The Releases

That’s a different way to go. The biggest wrestling story of the week has been the latest batch of WWE releases. For the second time in less than two months, WWE has released several wrestlers from their contracts on the same day. That is going to get some reactions from the wrestling world and its fans, but in this case it might be more of the way the announcement was made. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this week’s batch of releases was announced to the roster via a single text message from new Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis. This has never been the method that the company has informed wrestlers of such moves before. Budget cuts were cited as the reason for the releases. There is no word on if any more releases will be taking place in the future. Here is the text that was sent, according to PWInsider.com: Due to Budget cuts the following talent were released today. Braun Strowman, Lana, Buddy Murphy, Santana Garrett, Ruby Riott, and Aleister Black. – John Laurin..

Aleister Black Reacts And Comments to His WWE Release on Twitch

The biggest news story of the day has been the release of several WWE superstars, including Aleister Black. This came as a shock to many in the wrestling world, including Black himself. Im gathering my thoughts as this was a complete left field for me as obviously we just started the dark father character but this was it, thank you so much WWE universe for allowing me to create and give you small bits of myself. — Tommy End (@WWEAleister) June 2, 2021 He spoke about this, along with several other topics on his wife, Zelina Vega’s Twitch channel; below are some highlights: On being released: “I’m not sad. I’m not depressed,” Black said. “I’m sure there will be dark days and bad days. It’s all up and down. I got told it was budget cuts. Whether it is or not, it doesn’t matter. I had a great time and had a phenomenal four or five years. I’m really thankful WWE has done for me. I was given a platform, even in a limited amount, I was able to give you parts of my character.” On his mos..

Released WWE Stars React, Wrestling World Weighs In On Moves

You might want their opinions. One of the biggest stories over the last few weeks has been the amount of wrestlers who have been released from WWE. The company has cut several wrestlers from its roster over the course of the year and that was the case again this week, as even more wrestlers have been released so far. That is the kind of thing that could draw some strong reactions, including from the wrestlers themselves. Earlier today, WWE released six wrestlers from the company. The releases included Aleister Black, Braun Strowman, Lana, Buddy Murphy, Ruby Riott and Santana Garrett. All but Riott have since responded to the news via Twitter, with all of them thanking some combination of the fans, company and fellow wrestlers. Im gathering my thoughts as this was a complete left field for me as obviously we just started the dark father character but this was it, thank you so much WWE universe for allowing me to create and give you small bits of myself. — Tommy End (@WWEAleister) Jun..

BREAKING: WWE Releases Six Names, Including Top Raw Star

And there they go. WWE has a lot of wrestlers on their roster and sometimes there has to be some wrestlers let go. That can make for some very interesting headlines and sometimes they can be rather shocking. Over the course of the last few months, WWE has released several wrestlers, and now there are some even bigger names released than before. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, WWE has released the following wrestlers from their contracts: Braun Strowman Aleister Black Ruby Riott Lana Santana Garrett Buddy Murphy This comes after several wrestlers were released on April 15. There is no word on how many more wrestlers could be released today or in the coming days. Black has commented on his release, implying that he did not see it coming. Here’s Why Aleister Black And Big E. Were Not On SmackDown

Where did they get to? With so many people on the WWE roster at any given time, it can be kind of hard to keep track of all of them. At some point, someone is going to get lost in the shuffle, which can be rather annoying to a lot of fans. That means it can be very satisfying to see them return, but sometimes they go away just as quickly. It seemed like that was the case this week, but now we have an idea of what happened. Last week on SmackDown, Aleister Black made his return to the arena to attack Big E., costing him the Intercontinental Title in the process. However, neither of them appeared in any way on this week’s edition of SmackDown. According to PWInsider.com, this was done intentionally, for the sake of letting the story build rather than rushing through it. Both men were present at this week’s SmackDown. These two could be in for something good. Check out what they can do: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post c..

Next Up: Future Plans For WWE Intercontinental Title

Looks like they’re next. Titles can open up a lot of doors for all kinds of wrestlers. It is really easy to come up with a way to present a title match because all you have to do is slot someone in to face a champion. That lets you decide where to go with anything you want, which is the case in WWE as well. Now we know who might be next to go after one of the most prestigious titles in wrestling. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Kevin Owens is the likely next challenger for Apollo Crews’ Intercontinental Title. Owens and Crews were both part of last week’s four way Intercontinental Title match on SmackDown when Aleister Black interfered to take out Big E., seemingly sending them off into their own feud. Owens has been talking about how much he wants the Intercontinental Title in recent weeks. Owens is a former two time Intercontinental Champion, having held the title in 2015 and 2016. Crews is in his first reign with the title, having defeated Big E. during the second night of ..

WATCH: Surprise Return Takes Place On SmackDown

Welcome back. There are a lot of ways to bring a wrestler back to television and some of them are more effective than others. One of the many options available is to build them back up with a series of vignettes or promos and then have them come back when the time is right. That is what WWE did this week and it wound up working out rather well all things considered. Aleister Black made his return this week on SmackDown, interfering in the show’s main event. Black ran in on the fatal four way Intercontinental Title match and hit Black Mass on Big E., allowing Apollo Crews to retain his title. There is nothing to suggest that this is the start of an alliance between Black and Crews. Black had appeared earlier in the night in a vignette. This was Black’s first appearance in the arena since his last match on WWE television in October. Black was drafted to SmackDown in the 2020 WWE Draft but never appeared on the show. He began appearing in a series of vignettes starting just after Wrestl..
