WATCH: WWE And AEW Stars Reunite In New Music Video

Together again. The last few years have seen several changes in the rosters for both WWE and AEW. This has included all kinds of releases and signings to the other company, several of which have never gotten their first major change. It can mean a lot for those wrestlers to come back together, which is what happened again recently. This time though it had nothing to do with wrestling. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Mick Foley Wants To Join The Judgment Day (And It’s Great) Former Hit Row teammates Swerve Strickland (AEW), Top Dolla (WWE) and B Fab (WWE) reunited in a music video for the music video for the Monteasy song “Price Went Up”. The group, plus Ashante The Adonis, teamed together in NXT before being called up to the main roster, where they were released just over a month later. Everyone but Strickland was re-signed to WWE last year. It was something different. They have spoken. WWE recently released a video in which several superstars give their predictions for who will win the 2023 Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadephia Eagles. The game is being played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. You can see the video below: [This post contains video, click to play] The superstars and their picks are as follows: Street Profits – Eagles Baron Corbin – Chiefs The Miz – Chiefs Ricochet – Eagles Dolph Ziggler – Chiefs Bobby Lashley – Chiefs Madcap Moss – Eagles Austin Theory – Chiefs Sarah Schriber – Chiefs Ashante Thee Adonis – Eagles Top Dolla – Chiefs B-Fab – Eagles Tegan Nox – Doesn’t Care Editor’s Opinion: Most of the superstars interviewed are riding with the Chiefs, which I totally get because they have Patrick Mahomes. However, I’ve thought that, for the most of the year, the Eagles have been the most complete team with that explosive office, under Jalen Hurts. Because of the fact that I think the Eagles have..

WATCH: WWE Stable Turns Heel In Surprise Switch On SmackDown

They switched. Stables are an interesting concept in wrestling as you can have a bunch of wrestlers together in one group to let them get more television time. That can cause a lot to change at once if the entire group does something different. That seems to be the case this week, as a team of wrestlers is now going in a rather different direction for the first time in this place. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Run It Back: Roman Reigns’ Next Title Defense And Opponent Announced This week on SmackDown, Ricochet defeated Top Dolla in a Royal Rumble qualifying match. Following the match, Dolla shook Ricochet’s hand, allowing Dolla’s Hit Row teammate Ashante Thee Adonis to superkick Ricochet. The team, including B Fab, attacked Ricochet, turning heel in the process. Braun Strowman, Ricochet’s occasional tag partner, ran in for the save. This is the first time Hit Row will have been villains since their original run in NXT. It was a busy night. Check out Hit Row, both new and old: [This post c..

Triple H is “Underwhelmed” by Returning WWE Stars

Perhaps not everyone knows how to play the game. According to a new report by WrestleVotes, Triple H has not been pleased with several of the talents that he brought back when he took over for Vince McMahon earlier this year. The report is as follows: I’m told a handful of talent brought back in the “rehiring wave” over the summer have underperformed and severely underwhelmed Triple H & others since returning to the company. Sweeten The Pot: Contract Details On Returning WWE Superstars

Sign them up. There are several wrestling promotions in the world but there are only a handful that are able to run full time. Those promotions are able to keep wrestlers around on a more secure basis and they often include full time contracts. Signing one of those deals can change a wrestler’s career and now we know some more about a few recent signees to the biggest promotion in the world. Several WWE stars have returned to the company in recent months, including three of the four members of Hit Row. According to Fightful Select, the three (Top Dolla, Ashante Thee Adonis and B Fab) all signed three year deals, which will expire at the same time in 2025. Some of the recent returning stars (not necessarily Hit Row) are also able to work on some outside projects and appear on other platforms. The returns have done well. REVIEW: WrestleCon USA vs. The World 2022: The Better Version

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? WrestleCon: USA vs. The World Date: April 2, 2022 Location: Fairmont Hotel, Dallas, Texas Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Veda Scott This is about as obvious of an idea as you can get: take a bunch of wrestlers from WrestleCon weekend and put them in a bunch of matches, one country vs. the rest. This show has a tendency to be one of the weaker of the WrestleCon offerings but there are some talented people on the card. Let’s get to it. Warrior Wrestling Lucha Libre Title: Sam Adonis (USA) vs. La Hiedra (World) vs. Mr..

Former WWE Group Reuniting On Independent Circuit

The band is back together again. WWE has been shaken up so many times over the last few years, with most of the changes stemming from the company’s releases. There have been all kinds of wrestlers released from up and down the roster and some of them have been more surprising than others. Some of the more surprising releases are still doing their thing on the independent circuit and that will be the case again on a big stage. AJ Gray, formerly known as Top Dolla in WWE and NXT, has announced that some of the Hit Row stable will be reuniting over WrestleMania weekend at GCW For The Culture. Gray will be appearing along with Briana Brandy (B-Fab) and Tehuti Miles (Ashante Thee Adonis) though it is not clear what the trio will be doing. The team, along with Shane Strickland, was released from WWE in November 2021.. Time to make some hits! Details On Recent WWE Release, Bad Reputation Backstage

There’s your explanation. WWE has been releasing wrestlers left and right over the last year and a half and there is nothing to suggest that it is going to stop anytime soon. There have been some very surprising names released, which was the case again earlier this week. Now that a little time has passed, we know a bit more about why one of the wrestlers was let go. Last week, WWE cut eight more wrestlers, including the entire Hit Row stable of Ashante Adonis, Isaiah Scott and Top Dolla. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dolla had developed a reputation of being difficult backstage as he rubbed several people the wrong way in NXT. This was becoming the case again during his time on the main roster. WWE decided to cut him and Scott and Adonis were seen as being in the crossfire. Hit Row did not have much time to develop into stars. Check out some of their time in WWE: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post cont..

SmackDown Star Out Of Action Due To Medical Issue

That would slow him down. The 2021 WWE Draft has come and gone and there were several changes made over the course of two nights. All kinds of wrestlers were moved from one show to another and we have now seen some of the moves become finalized as wrestlers have showed up on their new rosters. However, one of them will not be getting in the ring anytime soon for a good reason. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Ashante Thee Adonis of Hit Row will not be wrestling due to an unspecified medical condition. There is no word on what is wrong with Adonis or how long he will be held out of active competition. Adonis appeared last week on SmackDown, accompanying Hit Row to the ring for a tag match. Adonis’ most recent match took place on August 24. Adonis is a talented wrestler. Check out some of his time in the ring: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is never something you wa..

Several Changes Coming To WWE Roster

Make sure you get it straight. We are finally ready to reach the new norm in WWE, as the new rosters from the WWE Draft are officially beginning as of this week’s SmackDown. That is going to mean a lot of changes in WWE, including new wrestlers appearing on both main television shows. Those are not going to be the only changes though and now we know a bit more about what to expect. WWE will be making changes to several wrestlers following the 2021 Draft. According to PWInsider.com, the following changes will be made: *Xia Li will be a babyface on Smackdown. *Mia Yim is scheduled to be a babyface when she debuts on Raw. *The current plan is for Shotzi Blackheart to be a heel on Smackdown now that she and Tegan Nox have been split. *Nox will remain a babyface for the Raw brand. *There’s been talk over the last week of shifting Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez into a tag team going forward. *Hit Row’s Swerve Scott and Ashante Thee Adonis will be utilized as a tag team with Top Doll..

You’ll Be Seeing Some New Stars On Monday Night Raw And SmackDown

They’re the new stars. We are halfway through the 2021 WWE Draft and now we can see where a lot of things are going. That makes for some interesting moments, as the WWE roster needed to be shaken up. The problem with that is there are a lot of rosters to be shaken up, and some of the changes are not as great. One of the roster took a hit during the first night as the other two got a boost. Both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown selected NXT talent with picks during the first night of the Draft. First, SmackDown drafted the entire Hit Row stable, including B Fab, Isaiah Swerve Scott, Top Dolla and Ashante Thee Adonis. The team debuted in NXT on May 4 of this year. With the last pick of the night, Monday Night Raw selected Austin Theory. This is Theory’s second trip to the main roster, as he wrestled there during the spring and summer of 2020 before returning to NXT as part of the Way. There is potential here. Check out the main roster stars still in NXT: [This post contains video, click..

RUMOR: Several NXT Names Who Make Be Drafted To WWE Main Roster

Change of address? The WWE Draft is coming up later this week and that is the kind of thing that could change the way WWE works for the next several months to come. You see new wrestlers showing up in different place and in some cases, it is their first time ever in those places. We might be seeing that again with a group of wrestlers making their main roster debuts. According to Jon Alba of the Living The Gimmick podcast, Hit Row is being discussed for a main roster call up during next month’s WWE Draft. The team has been together in NXT for the last several months, with Isaiah Swerve Scott being the current North American Champion. There is no word on what would happen to the title should the team be called up. The rest of the team includes B Fab, Top Dolla and Ashante Thee Adonis. Hit Row is one of the names being discussed for a main roster call-up from #WWENXT for the #WWE Draft, I'm told. Whether it ultimately gets the call will remain to be seen, obviously, but @AndrewZar..

NXT Live Coverage And Results – August 3, 2021

NXT Date: August 3, 2021 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Wade Barrett, Vic Joseph, Beth Phoenix. We are less than three weeks away from Takeover and after last week, we have a new main event for the show as Samoa Joe will challenge Karrion Kross for the NXT Title. Granted Kross might not mean as much after how things have gone on Monday Night Raw, I’m not sure how much that is going to be worth. Other than that, more things will be happening. Let’s get to it. Opening recap. Legado del Fantasma vs. Hit Row Santos Escobar and the rest of Hit Row is at ringside. It’s a brawl to start with Legado being knocked outside until Mendoza and Adonis slug it out inside. A whip into the corner takes Mendoza down and a neckbreaker makes it worse. Top Dolla comes in to throw people around, including running both of them over. Hold on though as Escobar gets up for a distraction, allowing Mendoza to low bridge Adonis to the floor. We take a break and come back wit..

205 Live Results – April 16, 2021

205 Live Date: April 16, 2021 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Tampa, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness This is the most up and down show you are going to find in WWE as there are weeks where you get good stuff but then there are weeks that have absolutely nothing going on whatsoever. You might as well flip a coin to figure out which you’re going to see here and that is kind of scary situation. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jake Atlas vs. Ashante Adonis Feeling out process to start, including some light kicks to the leg. Atlas cranks on the arm and grabs the armbar to keep Adonis in a bit of trouble. Adonis is right back with a knee to the ribs to take over for all of about three seconds, as Atlas sends him shoulder first into the buckle. It’s way too early for the cartwheel DDT though as Adonis shoves him out to the floor. Back in and Adonis goes after the arm for a change, with Atlas not being able to roll his way to freedom. Atlas finally kicks his way o..

205 Live Results – September 25, 2020

205 Live Date: September 25, 2020 Location: Amway Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Byron Saxton, Nigel McGuinness Last week saw 205 Live turn into the Ariya Daivari Show and I’m not sure why anyone thought that was going to be their best idea. Thankfully this show has a tendency to change things up almost weekly so there is a good chance that it will be something different this week. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Mansoor vs. Ashante Adonis Adonis takes him down in a hurry to start and throws in an early taunt. That earns Adonis an armbar and you can see the frustration/surprise setting in. Adonis fights up and spins out so Mansoor takes him down with a reverse DDT. Back up and Adonis snaps Mansoor’s throat across the top to put him outside and a neckbreaker gets two. We hit the chinlock for a bit, followed by a flapjack to give Adams two more. Mansoor jawbreaks his way to freedom from another chinlock and something close to a Vader Bomb gives him a breather. The middle r..

205 Live Results – September 11, 2020

205 Live Date: September 11, 2020 Location: Amway Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Drew Gulak I’ve been liking this three match structure as of late, which makes me think that it isn’t going to last much longer. The show is still just half an hour long so it’s not like I can get too annoyed about it in the first place. We even had a bit of a cliffhanger last week when Legado del Fantasma interfered in the main event. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Ashante Adonis vs. Brian Kendrick That would be Tehuti Miles. Kendrick works on a wristlock to start but misses a charge into the corner, allowing Adonis to hit a dropkick for two. A boot to the face gives Kendrick the same and we hit a seated neck crank. Back up and Miles misses a crossbody, meaning it’s right back to the same crank. This time Miles fights up and drives him into the corner and blasts Kendrick with a clothesline. The comeback is on with a series of strikes and a spinebuster gives Miles two. There’s ..

VIDEO: WWE Wrestler Undergoes Gimmick And Name Change

There’s the change. Sometimes in wrestling, including WWE, you need to change someone up. That could come in a variety of forms and some of them are better than others. One of the best ways might be to just change the wrestler’s name. The old name might not be one with the best reputation so just starting from scratch can help. If it is someone you don’t even recognize, it might be even better. While there is a good chance that you don’t regularly watch the show, 205 Live has been doing some nice things in recent weeks. The show basically started from scratch and is building things back up, which means that there are some spots available for fresh talent. One of them has been getting a little somewhere, and now he has appeared on NXT under a new name. During this week’s NXT, 205 Live wrestler Tehuti Miles appeared under the name Ashante “The” Adonis in a loss to Velveteen Dream. Adonis has been wrestling as Miles on 205 Live and occasionally NXT for most of the year, though he has on..

Impact Wrestling Results – November 22, 2018

Impact Wrestling Date: November 22, 2018 Location: Sam’s Town Hotel & Gaming Hall, Las Vegas, Nevada Commentators: Josh Matthews, Don Callis It’s time for a holiday show and in this case, that might not be the best thing in the world. The biggest story tonight is going to be the turkey suit match, which is one of those traditions that has been around here for years despite not many people seeming to be a fan of the thing. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. We open in the back with the tumbler containing the names available for the ten person tag. The captains, Fallah Bahh and Eli Drake, come in to talk about the match. Believe it or not, Drake is a little bit better in this area. The interviewer throws us to a video explaining the concept…which is last year’s match in its entirety. Team Edwards vs. Team Adonis Eddie Edwards, Garza Jr., Allie, Fallah Bahh, Richard Justice Chris Adonis, Caleb Konley, Laurel Van Ness, KM, El Hijo Del Fantasma The loser of the fall wears a turkey suit..
