WWE Breaks All-Time Gate Record For WrestleMania 39

January 10, 2023

People are excited. WWE issued a press release today, stating that they have broken the company’s all-time gate record for any WrestleMania, despite having yet to announce a single match. The previous record announced was $17.3 million in 2016 at WrestleMania 32 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. From the press release: The record gate comes on the heels of unprecedented ticket sales demand for WWE in 2022, in which it produced the highest-grossing gates of all-time for Royal Rumble, Survivor Series and Extreme Rules. Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales, which marked WWE’s first major stadium show in the U.K. in 30 years, was the highest-grossing U.K. event in company history. Additionally, WWE set in-market gate records for SmackDown and Raw events in more than 20 markets for the year, including the December 30 SmackDown, which took place in Tampa, Fla. and heralded the return of WWE Superstar John Cena. It takes someone special to receive additionally positive treatment but in most cases, they have earned the status. BREAKING: Triple H To Assume Creative Duties In WWE

A new game will be played. WWE issued a press release this morning, announcing several changes to leadership within WWE. Amongst them was that Triple H will now be overseeing all creative duties within the company. You can see the full press release below: STAMFORD, Conn., July 25, 2022 – WWE® (NYSE: WWE) and its Board of Directors today announced the appointment of Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan as co-Chief Executive Officers. Ms. McMahon has also been appointed Chairwoman of the Board, and Mr. Khan will continue to serve as a member of the Board. Roman Reigns Reveals What Match He Wants at WrestleMania 36

Former WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has officially made his return to the ring. At the official WWE press conference for WrestleMania 36, Reigns spoke about his desire to compete in an event that will be “full of moments” when WWE comes to Tampa Bay next year. In a subsequent interview with WFF, Reigns was asked to discuss his role in WWE now that 16-time World Champion John Cena is no longer a full-time competitor. Additionally, Reigns was asked who he wants to face next year at WrestleMania 36. Over the past few years, Reigns has become one of the most prominent Superstars on WWE’s main roster. During MegaCon in Orlando, former Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss made an appearance. While she was there, she sat down with a young fan who has been suffering with an eating disorder. “Don’t let anyone tell you, ‘You can’t do anything,'” Bliss said. “Okay? Because even though you’re struggling, I’ve been there, you know what I mean? I remember that I wanted somebody to tell me that I could get through it and it didn’t have to define me. WrestleMania 35 May Be The Longest In The Event’s History

If Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is to be believed, WrestleMania 35 may be the longest WrestleMania show in history. Meltzer is reporting that WrestleMania 35 is slated to start at 5:30 P.M. EST. This would likely follow a pre-show that lasts two hours, we assume. Meltzer claims that the current plan for the show would mean WrestleMania won’t wrap up at 11 P.M. as expected by many. Rather, it may continue through the night into the early hours of the morning. WWE is perfectly fine to do this for a number of reasons. As we’ve reported this week, WWE is changing the lengths of their PPVs and have informed international partners of this. Additionally, the show will primarily be watched on the WWE Network. This means unlike with Raw or SmackDown, WWE has no limit to how long their content is. Depending on how you look at it, WrestleMania could very well exceed 6 or 7 hours, potentially even excluding the two-hour pre-show that the event will have. The one big, obvio..

Who Played Bobby Lashley’s Sisters On Raw This Week?

Sami Zayn conducted the most controversial segment on Raw this past week, as he interviewed the ‘sisters’ of Bobby Lashley. We have determined who played two of the three competitors. The segment on Raw featured Zayn running down the three men dressed as the sisters of Lashley. He had them explain what Lashley is like behind closed doors. While the segment wasn’t well-received, it was one of the most talked about moments of the show. The first ‘sister’ to be confirmed was “Frances.” This character was played by Create A Pro Wrestling Academy’s Max Caster. This is the academy owned by Curt Hawkins. Additionally, Caster is a regular performer on YouTuber GrimsToyShow’s content. He works on the GTS Wrestling show, for those fans out there.
