Busy Night: Several Title Changes Take Place At AEW Full Gear

They’re a big deal. Titles are some of the most important things in all of wrestling and it means a lot for one to change hands. A wrestler getting their hands on a championship is the kind of thing that can alter a wrestler’s career trajectory in a very important way, especially if it is their first. That took place this weekend, as a few title changes took place on the same night. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: A Scary Situation: Backstage Feelings On Adam Cole’s Health Status There were three title changes on Saturday night at AEW Full Gear 2022. A Scary Situation: Backstage Feelings On Adam Cole’s Health Status

That’s a bad sign. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to a wrestler as anyone can be put on the shelf for any amount of time. It can be made even worse if there is no way of knowing how long a wrestler is going to be out of action. That seems to be the case again with an AEW star, and now his injury status has gone on for so long that people are worried. Adam Cole Explains Strange Moments Resulting From Medical Condition

That’s a rare one. There are all kinds of medical issues that can cause problems for wrestlers, some of which are rather common in the sport. At the same time, there are some that you do not see very often and those can make for some of the more interesting cases. That would apply to a major AEW star, who has revealed a medical issue he had to deal with earlier in his life. AEW’s Adam Cole recently appeared on the Wrestle Buddies podcast, where he discussed his previous issues with sleepwalking. Cole talked about how he suffered from the condition during his teenage years, occasionally waking up in strange places, such as face down on the floor. He also mentioned waking up in mid-conversation with someone and waking up to realize what was going on. Cole’s condition seems to have ended before he began his in-ring career in 2008. Opinion: Well that’s certainly unique. There are all kinds of problems in wrestling but Cole has one of the ones that you do not hear about very often. It’s g..

Latest On Adam Cole’s Injury Status, Said To Be “Really Bad”

That really doesn’t sound good. Injuries are among the worse things that you will ever see in wrestling and unfortunately you never know what kind might take place. Some of them are a lot more serious than others and can put a wrestler on the shelf for a very long time. That seems to be the case with a top AEW star and it seems that things might be even worse than they seem. AEW’s Adam Cole suffered a concussion at Forbidden Door on June 26 and has not wrestled since. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Cole’s concussion was described as being “really bad” and there is no word on when, or if, Cole will ever be able to wrestle again. Cole appeared on AEW Dynamite in August but did not get physical. He has been streaming on Twitch but is currently unable to travel or wrestle. Opinion: Yeah I would say that sounds serious. Anytime you hear about the question of whether or not a wrestler is going to be able to wrestle again, things are clearly in quite the bad state. Cole is a very ta..

Bobby Fish Shoots Down Rumors Of WWE Jump, Talks Disappointment With Story

He would know. There have been all kinds of stories surfacing over the last few weeks involving wrestlers possibly jumping from one promotion to another. This has created some issues as there are all kinds of rumors and possible stories out there, plus varying sources on every story. The best option is to hear it from the wrestlers themselves, and that is the case again. One of the stories involving wrestlers jumping from one promotion to another involves Bobby Fish, who has just left AEW, attempting to get Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole to join him in a jump back to WWE. Fish addressed the story on the latest edition of his Undisputed podcast, saying that the story was “totally fabricated information”. Fish went on to say that he was disappointed that so many outlets, including Jim Cornette, carried the story. Since leaving AEW, Fish has debuted for Impact Wrestling. Here are some of Fish’s comments, with transcription courtesy of 411mania.com: On The Rumors Of A Potential Jump To WWE..

RUMOR KILLER On Attempt To Bring AEW Stars Back To WWE

Not so much for that. The rise of AEW has opened up several new doors for wrestlers, as stars now have a new platform to ply their trade on a big stage. AEW has had some success so far and the question now becomes how much of that can they maintain. At the same time, there are going to be some wrestlers who want out, but it seems that one recent story wasn’t accurate. Last week, a report surfaced saying that Bobby Fish, who has left AEW, was trying to get Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly to return with him to WWE. However, according to Fightful Select, AEW sources are denying this story and there has been no contact between WWE and Fish about a possible return. Both Cole and O’Reilly are currently out of action with injuries and it is not known when they will be back. Opinion: This makes a bit more sense, as even if the three of them wanted to go back to WWE, there is a long list of issues that they would have to solve with their AEW deals in the first place. The Undisputed Era could work..

Recently Departed AEW Star Allegedly Tried To Get Other Stars To Jump To WWE

Is that a mutiny? The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works. After so many years of WWE dominating the industry, there is now a new promotion on the rise that is allowing wrestlers a fresh place to go. That has been a game change, but at the same time, not everyone who goes there is going to be happy. That seemed to be the case with one star, but some others shut him down. According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Ryan Frederick on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s message board, Bobby Fish tried to get Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly to leave AEW and return with him to WWE. However, the two turned him down while Fish left the company, setting up his debut with Impact Wrestling this weekend. Cole and O’Reilly are both currently out of action with injuries and it is not clear when they will be returning. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you do not hear about often but the cool thing is that it is happening again. There are now two companies which are fighti..

They’re Done: Top AEW Stable Has Violent Split This Week On Dynamite

That’s going to be a big one. AEW has been around for a few years now and the company has built up a rather deep roster in its existence. This involves a group of wrestlers who have been around the world with all kinds of success. That includes wrestlers being paired together in different units, but now one of those groups has fallen apart in a pretty violent way. This week’s AEW Dynamite featured the return of the Undisputed Elite, including Adam Cole. During his speech, Cole revealed that he was injured and unable to participate in the upcoming Trios Titles tournament. Cole also said that fellow Undisputed Elite members the Young Bucks would be unable to participate as well because they would be physically unable. This caused Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly to attack the bucks, with Hangman Page having to make the save. Page did not embrace the Bucks and left without them. Opinion: This feels like something that is designed to set up the return of Kenny Omega, but if that is not the c..

That’s Not Good: Tony Khan Offers Injury Update On Adam Cole

That doesn’t sound great. There are all kinds of injuries that can put someone on the shelf for a long time and that is never good to see. One of the worst parts about an injury is waiting to see just how long they are going to be gone. That is the case with a variety of AEW stars at the moment and unfortunately things might be a bit worse for him as he works towards recovery. During an interview with the New York Post, AEW President Tony Khan spoke about Adam Cole’s injury status following Cole’s injury at Forbidden Door. Khan said that while Cole had no contact between Double Or Nothing and Forbidden Door and was cleared going into his match at the latter, he is needing some time off to recover. As a result, Cole will not be wrestling until he is 100%. There is no word on when he will be back in action, but he has not appeared on AEW television since Forbidden Door. Opinion: You never want to hear about something like this and unfortunately it seems like Cole is going to be out of ..

Big Ouch: Another AEW Injury May Lead To Major Company Change

That could be a big change. AEW has done quite a bit in its first three years of existence and a lot of that has been due to the signature style that they work. The company presents a combination of high speed and hard hitting matches between a variety of wrestlers. That can create some exciting matches but it might also be causing some issues, some of which might be addressed soon. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Adam Cole suffered a very serious concussion at Forbidden Door, which led to the awkward finish to the IWGP Title match. This is the latest in a series of injuries in AEW and should AEW President Tony Khan see it as a result of the company’s style, he may limit the amount of dangerous spots, perhaps even limiting them to pay per view. There is no word on if Khan will do so, or if he will see the injuries as a mere run of bad luck. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that AEW might want to consider slowing down on anyway, as the fast paced offense and hard hit..

Adam Cole Reportedly Suffers Serious Injury At Forbidden Door

It’s always a possibility. Wrestling is a contact sport and there is always the chance that something could go wrong. You never know when you are going to see someone get hurt and be taken out of the ring. There is an even bigger chance of something going wrong during a match and unfortunately that was the case this weekend in a high profile match at Forbidden Door. This weekend’s Forbidden Door event featured a four way match for the IWGP World Heavyweight title as Adam Cole, Hangman Page and Kazuchika Okada all challenged Jay White. According to F4WOnline.com, Cole suffered a concussion during the match, which ended when Cole collapsed and was pinned by White. While not shown on screen, commentary did say that Cole walked to the back on his own power. There is no word on how long it will be before Cole can return to the ring. Opinion: Concussion is one of the scariest words in wrestling as you never know how severe one of them is going to be. Cole could be out of action for more th..

It Grows: AEW Announces Several New Matches For Forbidden Door

That’s what they needed. We are less than a week away from AEW’s Forbidden Door crossover show with New Japan Pro Wrestling. That is the kind of a show that you do not get to see very often and it certainly has potential to be special. There are several matches already set for the show and now that total has gotten even higher as AEW has beefed up the card. AEW added multiple matches to the Forbidden Door card this week on Dynamite. First up, the Buy-In show will include Max Caster and the Gunn Club facing Kevin Knight, Alex Coughlin and Yuya Uemura. Second, Jay White will defend the IWGP World Heavyweight Title against Kazuchika Okada, Hangman Page and Adam Cole. Finally, the Young Bucks will team with Hikuleo and El Phantasmo vs. Sting, Darby Allin, Shingo Takagi and Hiromu Takahashi. Zack Sabre Jr. was also confirmed for a match against an opponent to be named. Opinion: This is the kind of big set of matches that has been needed for the card and now you can see most of what is goi..

More Than One: Update On Adam Cole’s Injury Status

That could be serious. There are a lot of injuries in wrestling and unfortunately you never know how long one of them could keep someone on the shelf. An injury can be built up over time or take place right in the middle, but there is always the chance that it can be a combination of both. This time seems to be somewhere in the middle, but either way, it is going to keep a star out of action. AEW’s Adam Cole has not wrestled since Double Or Nothing last month. According to Fightful Select, Cole is currently dealing with a series of issues, including a labrum issue that took place during a match with Hangman Page earlier this year. Cole has worked through the injury, though it is not clear if it is torn. There is no word on when Cole will be returning to the ring. Opinion: That is never something you want to hear as any kind of injury is a bad thing. Cole is someone who has a lot of potential to break through to the next level for AEW and be a regular main eventer there so hopefully t..

REVIEW: Halftime Heat 2019: Dusting Off The Classic

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Halftime Heat Date: February 3, 2019 Location: WWE Performance Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Shawn Michaels, Vic Joseph So since the four hours of content enough yesterday, we’ll take a look at this quick show here, which is comprised of one match from the NXT crew. That’s not the worst idea in the world, and since it’s just a quick thing that isn’t even half an hour, it’s hard to get too annoyed over the whole thing. Let’s get to it. Aleister Black/Velveteen Dream/Ricochet vs. Adam Cole/Johnny Gargano/T..

Important Injury Update On AEW’s Adam Cole

He’s worth the wait. Every now and then, you will see a string of injuries in wrestling and it can slow down any promotion. You never want to see someone go on the shelf for any reason but it can be even worse when it slows things down for the entire promotion. That is the case again with AEW at the moment, though at least this time we might have an idea of when one name will be back. Last week, reports surfaced that AEW’s Adam Cole had suffered some sort of an injury. As a result, Cole was removed from a ten man tag on last week’s edition of Dynamite. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Cole will be out of action until around Forbidden Door on June 26. It is not clear if he will be wrestling on the show, though he has never been announced for a match. Opinion: The fact that Cole is likely only going to be out for about a month rather than several months is quite the good sign as this could be a lot worse. You never know how bad an injury is going to be at the start so thankfully ..
