They’re The Ones: The Usos Become First Team Ever To Reach This WWE Milestone

Uncharted territory. Titles have been one of the most important parts of WWE history throughout the decades. A title reign helps define its specific era as it gives you a better idea of who the top stars in the company happen to be. That is the case with WWE today, and now a single title reign has reached a level that none like it ever has in the history of the promotion. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Again? WWE Hall Of Fame Teases Coming Out Of Retirement According to Fightful, as of Friday, the Usos have held the SmackDown Tag Team Titles for 600 days. This is the first time in the history of WWE that any Tag Team Title reign has reached this milestone. The previous record for any tag team title reign was Princess Victoria and Velvet McIntyre, who held the WWF Women’s Tag Team Titles for 572 days from 1983-1984. Cameo: Wrestling Legend Competes In First Nationally Televised Match In 9 Years *SPOILERS*

Welcome back! Retirements in wrestling are a weird situation as you can almost always see a wrestler come back for one more match. That can make for some interesting situations as the question becomes when or where they will return to the ring. It can be a special moment when a wrestler comes out of retirement for one more match, and that was the case again this week. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Stronger Still: Great News On Health Status Of Hospitalized Wrestling Legend Last week, Impact Wrestling legend Tara, also known as Victoria in WWE, made a surprise appearance at Hard To Kill, supporting her friend Mickie James. According to Wrestlingnews.co, Tara wrestled a match at this week’s Impact Wrestling TV tapings, teaming with Gisele Shaw in a loss to the Death Dollz. This will be Tara’s first nationally televised match since 2013, though she has wrestled for various independent promotions. She also participated in the 2021 Royal Rumble. WWE Legend Was Once Thrown Out Of The Locker Room

Everyone has to start somewhere. There have been a lot of wrestlers to come through the WWE locker room over the years but only a few have stood out at the highest level. Those are the names that are remembered in a fond way for a long time to come, but even they might not have had the best time in the company. One such legend is talking about how badly things went for her at first. During an interview with NBC Sports Boston, WWE legend Victoria spoke about her beginnings with the company. Victoria began with WWE as one of Godfather’s Ho’s, despite having signed a full time contract with the company. When she started, she dressed in the women’s locker room but was thrown out by one of the other WWE stars, forcing her to dress in the janitor’s closet. This was due to the majority of the Godfather’s Ho’s being local strippers rather than full time wrestlers. Vince McMahon’s Mother Passes Away

We have some sad news to report this morning as Vince McMahon’s mother, Vicky Askew, has passed away at the age of 101. She died peacefully in her sleep at her home in The Woodlands, TX, just outside of Houston. From her obituary: Vicki was born on July 11, 1920 in Florence, South Carolina, the only daughter of four children of Orpheus William Hanner and Victoria Kennedy Hanner. The family moved when Vicki was a young girl to Sanford and then to East Sanford, NC where she spent her childhood. Vicki was blessed with two sons, Rod and Vince, both of whom married their childhood sweethearts. Sadly, Rod passed away one year to the day before his mother. Vicki’s childhood was tough. She spoke of it in an interview for the North Shore Church in 2018: “My mother had to go to work to support me and my three brothers. She started by selling Avon. It was nice while it lasted. Over it’s rather long history, WWE has had all kinds of wrestlers working for it at one point or another. That is the kind of history that can be almost impossible to track, as there are so many wrestlers to remember. Some of them do not make the biggest impact, but others are going to leave quite an impression. One of the more prominent women’s wrestlers seems to be done for good. The Women’s Revolution has changed the way WWE works and in a very good way. Women’s wrestling has gone from a glorified side show into something that has been a featured attraction for a very long time now. That is an amazing rise for the division and there is nothing to suggest that it is going to change anytime soon.
