Some of the top matches will have a major impact on what WWE does for the next several months, if not that much longer. However, there is a lot going on after the show is over and now we have an idea of what to expect. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Long Move: Interesting Note On WWE’s Change To Premium Live Events According to Xero News, WWE is considering two main events for Backlash, the next Premium Live Event after WrestleMania 39. The first option would see Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title. There is no word on who would be champion going into the match. The other option would be Rhodes teaming with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to face Reigns and the Usos in a non-title match. There is no word on which way WWE is leaning. On the card. We are less than a month away from WrestleMania 39 and that means the card is rapidly getting set. The show will again be held over two nights and there are even more matches that need to be set up. Sometimes you will see a bunch of matches being set up at the same time, which was the case this week, as multiple matches were set up on the same night. There were three new WrestleMania 39 matches set up this week on Monday Night Raw. First up, Logan Paul and Seth Rollins had a showdown, where Paul said that he would face Rollins on a bigger stage. WrestleMania host the Miz agreed to get the match made and it was set later in the show. Second, Austin Theory interrupted John Cena and challenged him to a US Title match at WrestleMania. After insulting Theory, Cena accepted the challenge. This match has been teased since Cena and Theory met backstage last June. It will be Cena’s first singles match since Summerslam 2021. There is a good chance that we get his Wrestlemania match set up this week, as he is running out of time. Other than that, we also get a face to face staredown between Logan Paul and Seth Rollins. Let’s get to it. The Bloodline (Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa) arrived earlier today, with Heyman reiterating Roman Reigns’ orders to deal with Sami Zayn. What could have been. We are getting pretty far down the Road To WrestleMania 39 and that means things are starting to come together. You can see a lot of the matches that are planned for the show and there is little mystery left for most of the company’s bigger names. That does not mean that we are seeing the original lineup though, and now we know something else that was planned for the show. However, around mid to late December, plans changed with the focus being more towards Cena vs. Austin Theory. The show has gone from little more than a really souped up live event to a stadium filling event that takes place over two nights. Things have gotten so much bigger that it needs someone to keep track of them all, which is what we will have again this year. There are already several matches planned for the show, some of which have either been set in stone or all but set for months now. However, there have been some plans that had to be changed, and now we know just how much one title situation was originally planned. According to Fightful Select, the original World Title plans for WrestleMania 39 called for the Rock vs. Roman Reigns to take place on one night while a WWE Championship match between Seth Rollins and either Cody Rhodes or Drew McIntyre would take place on the second. Once it became clear that the Rock would not be at the show, McIntyre and Rollins were dropped, with Rhodes vs. Reigns being set instead.
