LOOK: Ronda Rousey Has Already Had Another Match In Her WWE Comeback

The night wasn’t over. Last weekend, WWE presented its annual Royal Rumble event as the Road To WrestleMania 38 began. The event featured the show’s two namesake matches, which decided two of the major title matches at WrestleMania. The women’s edition featured a special surprise with Ronda Rousey making her return to the ring. Now, she is making up for lost time. As revealed on Twitter, Rousey was in action after this week’s edition of SmackDown went off the air. Rousey teamed with Naomi in a tag match against Charlotte and Natalya, with Rousey defeating Natalya via submission in about ninety seconds. Neither Naomi nor Charlotte ever tagged into the match. Rousey had been on the show to announce that she would challenge Charlotte for the SmackDown Women’s Title at WrestleMania. A Long Time In The Making. WWE Confirms A WrestleMania 35 Match.

It’s not too early. With WrestleMania 35 less than a month away, it’s time to start putting the card together. We already have a few matches set up but there is still a lot that needs to be done. A lot of the matches have already been set up or even challenged for on the weekly TV show, including one grudge match this week on SmackDown Live. It didn’t take long to make it official. As announced on the official WrestleMania Twitter account, AJ Styles will face Randy Orton at WrestleMania 35. This match has long been rumored for the card and was teased over the last few weeks. Orton has recently been calling out Styles for taking a long time to get to WWE while Styles has said that the company is being taken over by people like him. Bully Ray is currently employed by ROH. Despite this, the wrestler is in the WWE Hall of Fame alongside D-Von Dudley. For this reason, it came as a surprise to many when he joined in on the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship conversation on social media. The feud on social media initially kicked off with a video-tweet by Matt Hardy. It Hasn’t Been That Long. WWE Changes Course On Royal Rumble Match.

If you can’t trust your own show, who can you trust? WWE has a lot of television shows, to the point where you might not even know all of them off the top of your head. One of the lesser known shows is Main Event, which is typically just a recap show. As it turned out though there might have been some breaking news on this week’s episode. Amazingly enough, that turned out to be premature. Just yesterday, it was reported that Asuka vs. Becky Lynch for the SmackDown Women’s Title had been confirmed for next month’s Royal Rumble on Main Event. WWE has already started walking back the news, even though it aired on its own television show. Former General Manager Paige has already announced a retraction on Twitter, acknowledging that the match was announced but saying that she didn’t have the authority to make the match anymore. The former NXT Tag Team Champions are coming to Smackdown. During Smackdown, a vignette for Sanity played which had Eric Young talking about causing "Chaos" and ended with the Smackdown logo. Smackdown has a seven-foot tall wrestler now. Last August, Big Cass was injured during a match against Enzo Amore. The match was a Brooklyn Street Fight which was after Big Cass turned on his former tag team partner Amore. He tore his ACL which required surgery in August. On Raw, Jeff Hardy defeated Jinder Mahal for the WWE United States Championship right after Mahal joined Raw during the Superstar Shakeup. The next night, Hardy showed up on Mahal's old brand Smackdown. Randy Orton had won a number one contender's match the week after WrestleMania 34 and was supposed to face Jinder Mahal at WWE Backlash.
