It would make people mad. There have been a lot of rivalries over the years in WWE and some of them have gone on for a very long time. Those stories are often the ones that are the most remembered, as individual parts will stick out in fans’ minds more than anything else. Now we are hearing more about one such incident, which turned out to be quite the ordeal backstage. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: She’s Gone: WWE Star Reportedly Leaves Company, Return To The Ring Set The most recent episode of A&E’s Rivals series focused on the Rock vs. John Cena feud and included a section on Cena calling out the Rock for having his promo written on his arm. This was described as creating a “disconnect” between the two of them. Natalya also spoke about the incident, saying that she felt real tension backstage between Cena and Rock, saying the two men couldn’t even be in the same room. Cena and Rock would split their two match WrestleMania series at WrestleMania 28 and 29. The two of them did have chemis..
They’re in a time crunch. We are less than four weeks away from WrestleMania 39 and that means it is time to get everything left over set up for the card. It is difficult to get some things together and it can be made even worse when a problem takes place out of nowhere. That seems to be the case again, as a star who is probably going to be on the card is injured. Now we know some more about the situation. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Other Side: MJF Allegedly Said He’s “Looking Forward To Being” In WWE In 2024 This week on SmackDown, Ronda Rousey appeared with her arm in a sling after being attacked by Natalya and Tegan Nox earlier in the night. According to PWTorch.com, Rousey aggravated a prior injury, meaning that the planned tag team match between Rousey/Shayna Baszler vs. Nox/Natalya had to be changed. As of now, Rousey is still expected to wrestle at WrestleMania, though she has not had a match announced yet. A healthy Rousey is a force. Check out what should be at WrestleMania..
Ouch? With less than a month to go before WrestleMania 39, almost anything that happens on a WWE show is going to have some kind of ramifications on the upcoming big nights. Most of the stories have already been started but there is plenty of time for more things to happen on the way there. Another of those things might have happened this week and that could tie into a bigger story. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: What’s Next? Goldberg’s WWE Contract Is A Bit Strange At The Moment This week on SmackDown, a video showed Ronda Rousey being attacked earlier in the day by Tegan Nox and Natalya. As a result, Rousey’s arm was in a sling as she accompanied partner Shayna Baszler for her match against Nox later in the night. There is nothing to indicate that this is anything more than a storyline. This comes as the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has said there will be many more “twists and turns” before the Women’s Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania. While the match has yet to be announced, Baszler ..
She kind of has a point. Women’s wrestling in WWE has come a very long way in the last few years, as the division has gone from little more than a side show to one of the company’s featured attractions. There are more women’s titles and stars being given a chance than ever before, but that does not mean everyone is pleased. One of the bigger stars in the division has something to say about her colleagues. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: WWE Superstar Continues To Show Change In Attitude This week’s SmackDown featured Shayna Baszler, with Ronda Rousey, defeating Natalya, with Tegan Nox. The match marked the first time that Nox and Natalya had worked together, with a vignette showing them setting up their newly formed partnership earlier in the day. Following the show, Rousey took to Twitter to say the SmackDown women’s tag team division consists of Natalya and anyone she can find that week. Rousey also criticized WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Damage Ctrl of not defending their titles. ..
That could slow her down. Wrestling is a physical sport and there is always the chance that someone is going to get banged up in one way or another. At times those problems are going to cause someone to miss some time from the ring, or at least possibly need to. That is the situation again, and now a WWE Superstar is waiting to see what she is allowed to do this week. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: D’Oh! Local WWE Advertisement Seems To Spoil Major Angle Natalya participated in the women’s Elimination Chamber on Saturday night. She has since posted to Twitter, revealing that she is feeling “a little beat up” after the match but promised that she will be at SmackDown. Shayna Baszler responded to Natalya, mocking her for being injured again and being upset over not being able to challenge Natalya for a match this week. Natalya responded as well, saying she’ll have to see what the medical team says she can do. Feeling a little beat up this week after Elimination Chamber, but I would go through..
Elimination Chamber 2023 Date: February 18, 2023 Location: Bell Center, Montreal, Quebec, Canada Commentators: Michael Cole, Corey Graves It’s the last major stop on the Road To Wrestlemania and this is all going to be about Sami Zayn vs. Roman Reigns. In spite of the show’s title, the Elimination Chamber matches are far, far down the ladder in importance from the main event, which should have one of the most electric atmospheres WWE has seen in years. Let’s get to it. The opening video looks at the Chamber matches, before shifting to the Zayn vs. Reigns main event. Women’s Elimination Chamber The winner moves on to face Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Title at Wrestlemania and there is no word on the length of intervals. Natalya is in first and Liv Morgan is in second to get things going. A shoulder runs Morgan over to start and they trade rollups for a standoff. They go outside with Natalya being sent into the Chamber wall a few times and Morgan kissing her on the cheek. Back u..
There’s another one. We are just a few weeks away from WrestleMania 39 and that means it is time to start finalizing the card. WWE knows what they have planned for the show but the matches still need to be officially announced. This includes title matches as well, and now we know one of the bigger title matches that is going to be held at some point over the weekend. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Join The Team: WWE Discusses Carmelo Hayes Coming To Main Roster For Specific Role Asuka won the Women’s Elimination Chamber match, last eliminating Carmella, to earn the right to challenge Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Title at WrestleMania 39. The match also included Liv Morgan, Natalya, Raquel Rodriguez and Nikki Cross. Belair and Asuka have had two televised singles matches in the past, with Belair winning one and the other going to a no contest. There is no word on which night of WrestleMania the match will take place. This should be big. Check out who is heading to WrestleMania: [This p..
Smackdown Date: February 17, 2023 Location: Bell Center, Montreal, Quebec, Canada Commentators: Michael Cole, Wade Barrett We are a day away from Elimination Chamber and that means this is likely to be the Sami Zayn show. Tomorrow night the hometown boy Zayn gets his shot at Roman Reigns and I think the people might be a bit interested. Other than that we have Gunther defending the Intercontinental Title against Madcap Moss. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of last week’s Usos/Bloodline drama, with Jimmy Uso getting caught lying about Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. Hence Roman Reigns telling the Usos to stay home this week. Natalya/Shotzi vs. Ronda Rousey/Shayna Baszler Fallout from Rousey and Baszler hurting both of them. Baszler cranks on Natalya’s arm to start and it’s quickly off to Rousey for another battle over arm control. Shotzi comes in to actually take Rousey down, setting up Cattle Mutilation of all things. Rousey powers out but gets sent outside, allowing Shotzi to hit a pr..
Welcome back. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be difficult for anyone to stand out. Occasionally you will see someone who stands out above the rest and a lot of them are at that level because they have some kind of star power coming in. That is the case with a SmackDown star who made her return after a hiatus in a bit of a surprise moment. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The New Showdown: Interesting Details On Cody Rhodes/Paul Heyman Showdown Ronda Rousey has not been seen since the December 30 edition of SmackDown when she lost the SmackDown Women’s Title to Charlotte. This led to some speculation about her future in WWE and she did not participate in the women’s Royal Rumble. Rousey returned this week on SmackDown, helping Shayna Baszler to attack Natalya. That’s a long time. There are all kinds of injuries that can slow down a wrestler’s career. You never know when you are going to see someone put on the sidelines with something that comes out of absolutely nowhere but it does happen occasionally. That is the situation with a WWE star, who suffered an injury that might not seem serious but is going to keep her out of action for a good while. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Logan Paul Suffers Major Injury At WWE Crown Jewel, Could Still Get Worse According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Natalya will be out of action for a minimum of three months due to surgery to repair a dislocated nose. Natalya suffered the injury during last week’s SmackDown in a match against Shayna Baszler but because it was not broken, she was able to work last week’s European tour. Her nose will be the same shape and her reported breathing problems have been fixed as well. It was a rough match. Check out Natalya vs. Baszler: [This post contains video, click to p..
That’s not a great look. Wrestling is a fairly simple concept, as wrestlers are tasked with making the fans believe that they are seeing a real contest between two wrestlers. That can be easier said than done at times as there are multiple ways to go about pulling it off. One of the most important aspects though is maintaining realism, with one star making that a bit more difficult this weekend. Over the weekend, WWE presented a live event in Glasgow, Scotland, featuring a triple threat street fight featuring Liv Morgan, Natalya and Shayna Baszler. Morgan hit a top rope backsplash on Natalya on a table for the win, but the table did not break. Following the pin, Natalya immediately rolled to the floor and left the arena, similar to what she did to Morgan at a live event earlier this year. There is no word on why Natalya left so abruptly. This isn’t the way things often go. Check out Natalya leaving so quickly: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I’m not sure if there..
That’s how you wrap it up. A lot of different things take place at any given WWE television taping. You can get some huge matches and special appearances, but there are some people who just are not going to be able to make the broadcast. Most of the time WWE will add in something else after the show to sweeten the pot a bit and this week was no exception either. This week’s SmackDown featured a backstage promo featuring SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey saying that she would not be issuing an open challenge for a title shot. Instead, she would issue one the following week because she wanted to get out of Ohio. However, Rousey did wrestle later in the night, defeating Natalya in a SmackDown Women’s Title match after the show went off the air. There is your star power. Check out some of the match: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: Like her or not, Rousey is one of the biggest stars in all of WWE and is treated as such. It makes sense to put her on the show in o..
Hold tight because the show is not over. WWE presents a lot of television on any given week and it can be difficult to keep track of everything that they do. It doesn’t help that they company has so many wrestlers that sometimes they do not have enough time to get everyone on the shows. That being said, just because the cameras stop rolling doesn’t mean the action is over. That was the case this week as well. There were two post show segments following this week’s WWE SmackDown. First up, Ronda Rousey came to the ring and addressed the crowd, only to be interrupted by Natalya. A fight broke out and Rousey cleared Natalya from the ring. Rousey had appeared on the show in a backstage segment with Liv Morgan. Next, Bobby Lashley successfully defended the United States Title against Austin Theory. Neither of the two had been on the show. It was a busy night. Check out both post show segments: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion..
Monday Night Raw Date: August 8, 2022 Location: Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, Cleveland, Ohio Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton This could be a very interesting show, as we are coming off last week’s pretty awesome episode, but now the question is how they follow it up. They certainly don’t need to have some big moment or debut/return, but keep up the energy and put on a good show and they should be fine. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Bayley/Iyo Shirai/Dakota Kai coming together at Summerslam and running some roughshod last week. We get the brackets for the Women’s Tag Team Title tournament: Tamina/Dana Brooke Iyo Sky/Dakota Kai Alexa Bliss/Asuka Nikki Ash/Doudrop Raquel Rodriguez/Aliyah Xia Li/Shotzi Nikkita Lyons/Zoey Stark Natalya/Sonya Deville Here are Bayley, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai for a chat. Bayley: “DING DONG!” Bayley can’t believe that she’s getting this kind of a reception when the fans need her. They are here to save this women’s division..
You have to start somewhere. There are a lot of titles in WWE and holding a championship still means quite a bit. Winning a title can be a game changer for a wrestler and often serves as the start of someone’s move up to the next level. There are a few ways to become a champion and now we have a better idea of how two people will be winning a title at once. WWE has released the brackets for the tournament to crown new Women’s Tag Team Champions with the first round beginning this week on Monday Night Raw: Tamina/Dana Brooke Iyo Sky/Dakota Kai Alexa Bliss/Asuka Nikki Ash/Doudrop Raquel Rodriguez/Aliyah Xia Li/Shotzi Nikkita Lyons/Zoey Stark Natalya/Sonya Deville The tournament is being held after Naomi and Sasha Banks walked out on WWE in May, vacating the titles in the process. It is not clear when the finals will be taking place or if Lyons and Stark have been called up from NXT permanently. Opinion: That is a pretty nice field for the tournament and I’m curious to see how well..
That was definitely a moment. The idea of wrestling is that people are in the ring having a match/fight and it is all about seeing who wins. The trick is that the people are having to put together a performance by convincing the fans that what they are seeing is real. At the same time though, sometimes you see something happen that isn’t exactly planned, which was the case over the weekend. Now we know a bit more about what happened. Over the weekend, Liv Morgan defeated Natalya at a live event with Oblivion. As soon as the match ended, Natalya popped up and yelled at Morgan before leaving. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, there was some kind of an incident backstage involving Natalya, though Morgan was not involved whatsoever. The incident was said to be cleared up that night and is considered “over and done with”. It is still not clear what happened to start the situation. Opinion: That’s still quite the messy situation but at least it seems to be taken care of already. The v..
That’s a special one. There are all kinds of great stars in wrestling history but only a few have approached the level of Steve Austin. He is one of the biggest stars in the history of the industry and one of the most influential names in modern wrestling. Having him around means something and that was the case again this weekend, even if you probably didn’t see him on camera. WWE held a live event on Sunday night in Reno, Nevada under their Sunday Stunner banner. Natalya was on the show and revealed that WWE Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin was backstage at the event. Austin responded to the tweet, praising the crowd as well as the wrestlers, saying they gave the fans a “helluva show”. Austin last appeared for WWE at WrestleMania 38 where he main evented night one and beat up Vince McMahon on night two. The coolest part of tonight in Reno was having @steveaustinBSR at our show watching every match backstage… Steve is the best. Truly. ?? — Nattie (@NatbyNature) July 11, 2022 R..
