Former WWE Star Lana Thinks Miro Will Return To WWE Rey Mysterio feuded with Dominik earlier in the year, resulting in Rey moving from Monday Night Raw to SmackDown. The feud has continued on social media though, with Dominik and his girlfriend Rhea Ripley trying to invade Rey’s home on Thanksgiving. Dominik and Ripley attempted to do it again on Christmas Eve, but this time Rey backed them out of their house. Rey’s wife Angie slapped Ripley and then police arrived to arrest Dominik. The company is very well compensated for running the shows and it makes a lot of business sense, but there have been some public relations issues as a result due to some of the country’s laws. Now another one has caused a wrestler to miss the latest event. Last week on SmackDown, Braun Strowman attacked Omos’ manager MVP, laying him out with a series of running powerslams. As a result, MVP did not appear at this weekend’s Crown Jewel event from Saudi Arabia. According to Fightful Select, MVP did not appear at the show because he is a former Muslim turned atheist, which is a violation of Saudi Arabian law. At times though, there are some feuds that look more realistic than others because there is an element of reality in them. Two major WWE stars have some real life issues and now one of them is explaining a bit more. There have long been stories of real life heat between Charlotte and Becky Lynch, despite the two of them formerly being friends. Lynch appeared on the MMA Hour (Lynch’s segment begins around 1:43:40) and discussed the issues between her and Charlotte and offering an explanation. At least he had a reason. The biggest wrestling story of the year has been the departure of Vince McMahon from WWE. After nearly four decades of McMahon in charge of the company, he has finally stepped down and handed the reins off to someone else. That has caused quite a few changes and now we have a better idea about one of McMahon’s less well received decisions. CJ Perry, formerly known as Lana in WWE, recently appeared on In The Kliq to talk about some of her time in WWE. Perry mentioned the Rusev Day story, which took place in 2017-18 and saw Rusev become one of the more popular stars in WWE, though he never officially turned good. According to Perry, McMahon never allowed the full turn because he saw Rusev as his “Bulgarian Brute 300 pound crazy villain” and did not want to change his vision. So much for that. Stables are one of the most logical ideas in a wrestling company as a promotion might have too many wrestlers to use on their own. That means the best solution might be to put some of them together as a group, which is a common practice in AEW. Now though, one member of one of the stables seems to have left his group in a rather physical manner. This week on AEW Dynamite, Team Taz’s Ricky Starks lost the FTW Title to Hook in an impromptu title match. Following the match, Starks talked about how he was having a string of setbacks but he was proud of what he did with the FTW Title. As he was speaking, his Team Taz teammate Powerhouse Hobbs attacked him from behind. On commentary, Taz seemed surprised at Hobbs’ actions as Hobbs seemed to leave Team Taz. It might be in order. There have been a lot of changes to WWE in the last few weeks and those changes are likely to continue for the time being. The company has undergone a series of major shakeups behind the scenes which could cause a lot of changes in front of the camera. That meant that an explanation was in order and that was the case this week before Monday Night Raw. According to Fightful Select, there was a talent meeting held before this week’s Monday Night Raw with Triple H in charge. Triple H announced that he wanted to have a new level of transparency in WWE and for work to be more fun than it was before. This can be the case for a variety of reasons but one of the most common is that WWE just changes things on a moment’s notice. That seemed to be the case again this week, but now we might know a more logical reason. As of Monday morning, WWE was still advertising a match between Kevin Owens against either Ezekiel, Elias or Elrod. However, the match never took place with no explanation given. According to PWInsider.com, the match was not taking place due to Owens dealing with a minor injury. There is no word on what is wrong or when Owens will be back in the ring. They changed their minds. There are a lot of issues with WWE at the moment and one of them is their inability to present the matches and segments that they advertise. WWE has a bad tendency to change their minds on something they plan to present and it can create issues. That was the case again this week, despite a last minute advertisement of the match. Last week on Monday Night Raw, Kevin Owens issued a challenge to either Ezekiel, Elias or their brother Elrod. Ezekiel accepted the challenge on behalf of his family and it was officially announced for this week’s show. On top of that, at 6am on Monday morning, WWE announced that the match would be a Money in the Bank qualifying match.
