Those stars are going to get more attention than almost anyone else, as the recognition from WWE is quite powerful. Not A Fan: Former WWE Creative team Member SLAMS Recent Title Match

He’s not a fan. We are moving away from Survivor Series, which was one of the biggest shows of the year. The card featured a variety of matches and stars up and down the show, some of which were better than others. With so many people watching the show, there are going to be some who like it more than others, and in this case, a former WWE employee was not happy with what he saw. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Considers Special Legend Shows For WrestleMania 39 One of the matches at Survivor Series saw Ronda Rousey successfully defend her SmackDown Women’s Title against Shotzi. During the latest edition of the Wrestling With Freddie podcast, former WWE creative team member Freddie Prinze Jr. blasted the match, calling it “the single worst match I have seen in I don’t know how long”. Prinze Jr. said that it was not Shotzi’s fault, but rather blaming Rousey for her wrestling getting worse, suggesting that she is either not trying or is incapable of making things work. Here..

Former WWE Writer Explains What Made Vince McMahon Snap During A Promo

Yeah he did that. There has never been anyone like Vince McMahon in the history of wrestling and there never will be again. McMahon was the definition of a one of a kind personality who was known for his odd quirks, including getting annoyed at things for no apparent reason. There have been several instances of single words driving McMahon crazy over the years and now we know another one. During a recent edition of his Wrestling With Freddie podcast, former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. revealed that McMahon would get angry when someone used the word “strap” to refer to a championship during a promo. While McMahon would not allow the word “belt” to be used, the word “strap” would reportedly cause him to go into a rage, to the point where nothing else in the promo mattered to him. McMahon retired from WWE earlier this year after nearly 40 years in charge of the company. Opinion: This is about as McMahon of a thing as you can get and I’m not remotely surprised. He has always been known..

AEW Star Suggests Tag Team Might Have Split

They might be done. Tag teams have a long history in wrestling and the modern era has seen a new emphasis on the idea. There are all kinds of great teams out there and a lot of them are in AEW. During its history, the company has presented several teams, allowing a variety of wrestlers a chance to shine. That being said, not every team can be around forever and now one star is heavily suggesting that his team is coming to an end. During a new interview on the Cafe de Rene with Rene Dupree podcast, AEW’s Brian Pillman Jr. implied that the Varsity Blonds, his team with Griff Garrison, was done. Pillman talked about how AEW took away Julia Hart, who joined the House Of Black, which ended the team’s appeal. He also said that he hoped when people looked back on the team, they did so fondly. It was not specifically said that the team was broken up. They have not wrestled together since since August 21. Opinion: As much as I like the team, this might be for the best. They have lost so many ..

Claudio Castagnoli Discusses Joining AEW, Future of Blackpool Combat Club, More

ROH World Heavyweight Champion Claudio Castagnoli was recently interviewed by Bleacher Report, where he discussed several topics. Among them were joining AEW, winning the ROH Heavyweight Championship, the future of the Blackpool Combat Club and more. Below are some highlights from the interview: On joining AEW and the matches that he had: “[Blood and Guts] was awesome in a way that I was thrown right into the fire,” he said. “It was a kind of trial by combat, so to speak. Trial by Blackpool Combat Club [laughs]. I wrestled Zack Sabre Jr. that Sunday in a very, very technical match. I think he’s probably one of, if not the, best technical wrestlers in the world. “And then there was the Blood and Guts match on Wednesday where I was in from the beginning to end. I’m always looking for challenges and that was definitely a big one. It’s so much fun to be in the ring with the Blackpool Combat Club. “I’ve only known Wheeler Yuta for about a month, but it feels way longer. Bryan Danielson..

Kevin Dunn Reportedly Would Not Push Women He Did Not Find “Pretty”

There’s nothing good about that. The Women’s Revolution has brought the WWE women’s division a very long way and that is a good thing. After years of women’s wrestling being little more than a side show in WWE, the women are now treated as stars and have accomplished almost everything imaginable. However, it is still not that easy, and now we have a better idea of some of the obstacles they had to face. During a recent edition of his Wrestling With Freddie podcast, Freddie Prinze Jr. talked about his time on the WWE creative team. Prinze talked about pitching ideas about women’s wrestling to Kevin Dunn, who would regularly shoot them down because he did not find some of the women involved to be pretty. Dunn would be told how many male stars would not be seen as attractive but he still stopped stories because the WWE Women’s Champion would have to be “pretty”. Dunn is considered gone from WWE following Vince McMahon’s departure. Opinion: As rather pathetic as this is, it also isn’t sl..

Gotcha: WWE Stars Surprised By Claudio Castagnoli Signing With AEW

Shocking. There are two major wrestling promotions in the United States today, with AEW and WWE dominating the country’s industry. That means the companies are in competition with each other, especially when it comes to signing talent. Both companies bring in stars from elsewhere, and a recent signing of a former WWE wrestler to AEW has left some people surprised. Last weekend at Forbidden Door, former WWE star Claudio Castagnoli, formerly known as Cesaro, made his debut and defeated Zack Sabre Jr. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE stars were shocked at Castagnoli going to AEW due to the amount of money that WWE offered him. It was believed that AEW was no longer matching or exceeding WWE offers, though there is a possibility that Castagnoli moved for the sake of a chance at a push rather than money. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that is a bit of a surprise, especially if WWE was offering him that kind of money. Castagnoli has already made quite the impact in A..

As a result, the company is able to present a variety of matches with different kinds of stars and now they have a new international star to add to the list. AEW’s Forbidden Door pay per view includes a match between Zack Sabre Jr. and a mystery opponent. Sabre Jr.’s original opponent was scheduled to be Bryan Danielson, but an injury forced him from the match. It Grows: AEW Announces Several New Matches For Forbidden Door

That’s what they needed. We are less than a week away from AEW’s Forbidden Door crossover show with New Japan Pro Wrestling. That is the kind of a show that you do not get to see very often and it certainly has potential to be special. There are several matches already set for the show and now that total has gotten even higher as AEW has beefed up the card. AEW added multiple matches to the Forbidden Door card this week on Dynamite. First up, the Buy-In show will include Max Caster and the Gunn Club facing Kevin Knight, Alex Coughlin and Yuya Uemura. Second, Jay White will defend the IWGP World Heavyweight Title against Kazuchika Okada, Hangman Page and Adam Cole. Finally, the Young Bucks will team with Hikuleo and El Phantasmo vs. Sting, Darby Allin, Shingo Takagi and Hiromu Takahashi. Zack Sabre Jr. was also confirmed for a match against an opponent to be named. Opinion: This is the kind of big set of matches that has been needed for the card and now you can see most of what is goi..

Bryan Danielson Makes Major Health Announcement, Update On In-Ring Status

That’s good and bad. Injuries are one of the worst things that you can see take place in wrestling. You never know when you are going to see someone taken out of the ring due to getting hurt and that is always a bad thing. That is the case again with one of the biggest stars in the world, but now we know a bit more about what is going on and that is a good thing. Bryan Danielson opened this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite and announced that he is not medically cleared to wrestle at the moment. As a result, he will miss Sunday’s Forbidden Door match against Zack Sabre Jr. as well as next week’s Blood & Guts match. Danielson did not give a date when he will be back but he did promise to return to the ring. He also promised that a replacement will take his place in both matches, with the same person wrestling both times. Opinion: That is not good to hear, but it is a situation that certainly could be worse. It is great to see that Danielson is still able to be out there and stand in the ..

It is not clear who Sabre Jr. will face if he is still appearing at Forbidden Door. Opinion: Sabre Jr. vs. Danielson ..

AEW Rampage Results – June 17, 2022

Rampage Date: June 17, 2022 Location: Chaifetz Arena, St. Louis, Missouri Commentators: Taz, Excalibur, Chris Jericho We are less than two weeks away from Forbidden Door and a bunch of matches were added to the card this week on Dynamite. I doubt that we get that much this time, but we do get Jade Cargill vs. Willow Nightingale. That should be a fun match and odds are we get something else on the same level. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jon Moxley vs. Dante Martin William Regal is on commentary and calls Jericho a Trout Slapper. Moxley powers him into the corner to start as we talk about Zack Sabre Jr.’s comments about Bryan Danielson. They trade wristlocks into a headlock takeover from Moxley but Martin is back up with a dropkick out to the floor. Moxley runs him over again though and we take a break. Back with Moxley hitting the running knee to the face and a butterfly superplex for two. Martin fights up and hits a quick ax handle, setting up a high crossbody for two of his..

There’s Your Dream Team: Bret Hart Manages FTR Over The Weekend

It’s long overdue. There are certain times when you see a pair of wrestlers who seem like they are a perfect fit. It might be them facing off or teaming together, but it can make for some fascinating moments when they finally make it happen. This can be all the more common in modern wrestling with different promotions around the world and that was the case again this weekend. Over the weekend, WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart managed FTR at a Big Time Wrestling event in Webster, Massachusetts. The match saw FTR defeat Brian Pillman Jr. and Brock Anderson, who had Brock’s father Arn in their corner. This comes as FTR has been paying tribute to Hart, including indirectly referencing him in their promos. The show will be available on Fite TV at some point in the future. A celebratory tequila toast in Webster, Massachusetts with @BretHart and @DaxFTR after tonight’s wildly successful @BTWwrestling show. Be sure to catch the event on @fitetv – an announcement on when you can purchase and vie..

Former WWE Star Reveals Interesting Gimmick Planned For Him

That could have been different. There are a lot of things that have to come together to make a wrestler work out. If one of those things are missing or off, the whole thing might not come together. One of the biggest is the wrestler’s name and getting it wrong can be quite the detriment for a wrestler. It seems that WWE almost had a very interesting choice for a returning wrestler last year. In a new interview with Inside The Ropes, Davey Boy Smith Jr. revealed that there were plans to give him a new gimmick during his 2021 WWE return. Smith would have worn his father’s vest and gone under the name the Stampede Stud. The plan had been for him to appear on SmackDown but he never wrestled on television before being released from the company in November 2021. Opinion: Honestly, Stampede Stud isn’t exactly a bad name and I could see something like this working. It sounds better than Davey Boy Smith Jr. or having the same nickname as his father. Smith was always in great shape and they co..

New Career: AEW Star Lands Debut Acting Role

It’s something new for him. Wrestlers have a weird relationship with acting, as while they are acting on a wrestling show, they are always seen as wrestlers instead of actors. There are some wrestlers who are very talented at acting though and occasionally you will see someone trying their hand at acting in a bigger way. That seems to be the case again with an AEW star. AEW’s Brian Pillman Jr. has announced that he will be appearing in the upcoming movie the Charisma Killers, joking that he has graduated from Varsity Blond to Hollywood Blond. This is Pillman’s first acting role, though there is no word on when or where the film will debut. Former WWE and Impact Wrestling star Jesse McKay will also appear in the film, which is directed by Michael Matteo Rossi. The news that I was excited to share with you all today! Just landed my first acting role! I guess you could say I graduated from Varsity Blond to Hollywood Blond!!! ???? https://t.co/l4OxUHyVGB — Brian Pillman Jr. (@FlyinBrian..

Hollywood Star Announces He Is Starting His Own Wrestling Promotion

One more on the list? There are a lot of wrestling promotions in the world but only a few rise to prominence. It takes a lot of money, time and effort to make a promotion work and a lot of that comes down to the owner. If the right person is not behind the wheel, things can go badly in a hurry. Now someone you might have heard of before is throwing their hat into the ring. Freddie Prinze Jr., an actor and former member of the WWE Creative team, has announced on his Wrestling With Freddie podcast that he is planning to start his own promotion. Prinze says that he hopes to have the promotion up and running in eighteen months but does not expect to get a TV deal right away. He hopes that his shows are about two hours each and wants men and women to have equal time. In addition, Prinze is hoping that the show will be a SAG show, meaning that everyone involved will be a member of the Screen Actors Guild. Opinion: This is one of those things that might sound good on paper but it might be a..

Hollywood Actor Working On Starting His Own Wrestling Promotion

He has the name. The owner of a wrestling promotion might not get the most attention but they are almost as important of a person as you can have in the operation. That person is going to be financing the company and is often the face behind the whole thing. Having an owner that fans recognize can be helpful and now someone who is known by more than a few people might be getting into the wrestling industry. Actor Freddie Prinze Jr. mentioned on Twitter that he is working to finance his own wrestling promotion. Prinze responded to a fan on Twitter who asked about such a promotion, saying that he was returning to work to finance such a project. He did not offer any further details on the promotion. Prinze has a background in wrestling, having worked as part of the WWE Creative team, as well as actively hosting a wrestling podcast. I hope so. Only went back to work to finance the muthafucka. Give me some time tho ?? — Freddie Prinze Jr (@RealFPJr) April 22, 2022 Opinion: I have no ide..
