Update on Nikki & Brie Garcia’s Wrestling Future
It came from the source. It had been previously reported that the Bella Twins were officially leaving WWE for good and had rebranded themselves as Nikki and Brie Garcia. One of the main questions that has risen is the wrestling future, particularly when it comes to AEW. That question was answered today on Instagram Live, where Nikki confirmed that her and her sister would not be going to AEW. That would be a change. The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works, as now WWE has another big budget wrestling promotion to deal with on the national stage. In addition, AEW has allowed wrestlers to have another place to go, which has led to some interesting situations. Now a current AEW star seems to be teasing a jump back to WWE after a rather nasty exit. Back in June 2020, FTR left WWE (where they had been known as the Revival), following a six year run with the company. The team has since moved over to AEW, where they are former Tag Team Champions. Dax Harwood has since announced that the team will be sitting out until their AEW contracts expire at the end of April. “The Genius” Lanny Poffo Passes Away At Age 68
We have some sad news to report today as Lanny Poffo, who was known as “The Genius” in WWE has passed away at the age of 68. From WWE.com: The son of Angelo Poffo and younger brother of WWE Hall of Famer “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Lanny Poffo had a style all his own. Arriving in WWE in 1985 alongside his brother, “Leaping” Lanny Poffo was one of the first high-flyers in WWE. While he achieved some success as a fan favorite reading his own poetry and throwing Frisbees to the crowd, he reached new heights as The Genius while managing Mr. Perfect. Lanny had the honor of inducting his brother into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015.
