LISTEN: Enzo Amore Releases Tribute Song To Hacksaw Jim Duggan

That’s a special tribute. Music has played a big part in wrestling for decades as the right theme song can make or break a wrestler. That can be easier said than done as picking a proper song can be difficult. At times there are wrestlers who are able to put together their own music, but this time around a wrestler has put together a song for one of the more recognizable legends in wrestling history. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Safe At Home: Hacksaw Jim Duggan Explains How He Stopped An Intruder At Gunpoint Enzo Amore, under his musical name of Real1, has released a song called Hacksaw, a tribute to WWE Hall of Famer Hacksaw Jim Duggan. The lyrics include a repeated reference to Duggan waving the flag and standing up for his country. There is nothing to suggest that Duggan was involved in the creation of the song in any way. Amore has released music since he left WWE and performed his own theme song during his time with the company. It’s a nice idea. Check out the song, plus the two in t..

REVIEW: Monday Night Raw – January 1, 2018: Feels Like It Was Just Four Years Ago

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Monday Night Raw Date: January 1, 2018 Location: American Airlines Arena, Miami, Florida Commentators: Michael Cole, Corey Graves, Booker T. It’s a new year (yes it is) and that probably doesn’t mean much. We’ll be getting ready for the Royal Rumble in less than a month and tonight that includes an appearance by Brock Lesnar. Other than that we have Roman Reigns defending the Intercontinental Title against Samoa Joe and Cedric Alexander challenging Enzo Amore for the Cruiserweight Title. Let’s get to it. Alexa Bl..

Enzo Amore Might Be Returning To Wrestling TV Soon

One more time? Every so often, you see a wrestler who catches the fans’ attention through pure charisma. They might not have the strongest in-ring abilities but they have something that makes them stand out and get the audience in their corner. Unfortunately it might not always be the most successful, but now such a star might be getting another chance to show what he can do. During this week’s edition of MLW Fusion ALPHA, company executive Cesar Duran mentioned that the company was in discussions with nZo, formerly known as Enzo Amore. NZo did not appear on the show and there is no word on when he could appear. Following his departure from WWE in 2018, nZo has wrestled around the independent circuit, primarily in New England Wrestling. There is a lot here. Check out the full show plus who might be coming to MLW: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: There are very few wrestlers wh..

VIDEO: First Time Ever Match Takes Place Over The Weekend (This Is Cool)

That’s a new one. Independent wrestling can offer a lot of unique options. Sometimes you can find something at an independent wrestling event that you are jut not going to see elsewhere. This might not always be the most thrilling thing, but there are some instances where you see something you never would expect. That was certainly the case over the weekend. Over the weekend, Jerry Lawler defeated nZo, formerly known as Enzo Amore, in a casket match at New England Wrestling Wrestlefest 25 in Poughkeepsie, New York. This was the first ever match between the two. Lawler has been a semi-regular for Northeast Western for most of the last twenty years and is a former Tag Team Champion. Nzo is also a semi-regular for the promotion and wrestles around the independent circuit. It was certainly unique. Check out how the match went, plus both of the two in separate action: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click t..

Former WWE Star Plans To Wrestle Match….On The Moon

Well that would be…different. Traditionally, wrestling matches take place in a ring with four sides and four posts. It is something that has worked for decades now and there is nothing to suggest is needs to be changed. Every now and then you see a match take place elsewhere and there have been some unique locations. Now one wrestler wants to do something completely different. nZo, formerly known as Enzo Amore in WWE, sent out a tweet saying that he wants to have a match on the moon. After seeing that the oldest person in history went into space this week, along with hearing that Jerry Lawler was still wrestling in his 70s, nZo said that one day he would have a match on the moon. nZo said that he wanted to face Finn Balor in the match, though Balor has not responded. Today, an earth woman at 83 years old became the oldest person to ever enter outer space. If Jerry ”The King” Lawler is still at it & wrestling into his 70’s. You can bet your ass, one day, I’ll wrestle on the moon. #..

Enzo Amore Taken To Hospital After Indy Show

Well that probably hurt. Wrestling is a physical sport and it can included some rather dangerous moments. No matter how well trained or experienced a wrestler may be, there is always an element of danger in what they are going to do. It does not help when the wrestlers try something that makes things even more over the top than usual, which was the case again this weekend with a former WWE star. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, former WWE star Enzo Amore was knocked unconscious at a SWE event in Texas on Saturday night. During the match, Amore took a DDT on the floor and was legitimately knocked out, resulting in him having to go to the hospital. There are no other details on his condition, though Amore did thank fans for their support on Twitter Sunday morning. Amore is a former WWE star, wrestling on the main roster from 2016-2018 before being released over issues involving a sexual assault charge. Since then, Amore has mainly focused on his music career, though he has recent..

VIDEO: Former WWE Star Makes Surprise Impact Wrestling Debut

Nice to meet you! There are several wrestling promotions around today but WWE is pretty easily the largest and best known. Working for WWE can open all kinds of doors for a wrestler’s career and let them have quite the career after leaving the company. Seeing a former WWE star debut elsewhere can be quite the moment and now we have seen a rather big one. Former WWE star Big Cass, appearing under the name W. Morrissey, short for his real name of William Morrissey, made his Impact Wrestling debut at Rebellion 2021. Morrissey appeared as a replacement for the injured Eric Young for Violent By Design in an eight man tag. Young made it clear that Morrissey was not a full member of the team. It is not clear if Morrissey is with the company full time going forward. Morrissey wrestled for WWE from 2013-2018, mainly teaming with Enzo Amore. The two of them regularly challenged for various Tag Team Titles but Morrissey never won any titles in the company. Since leaving the company, Morrissey h..

WATCH: Trailer For New Wrestling Animated Series Takes Shots At WWE

It’s easy to parody. As seriously as some fans take it, wrestling is something that can easily be mocked. It is a bunch of people doing a bunch of completely insane things a lot of the time but when you are inside the wrestling bubble, it works out rather well. However, if you change things up a little bit and take a look from outside the bubble, you can have a lot of laughs. That is what some wrestlers are hoping to do. Back in July, the Good Brothers (Doc Gallows/Karl Anderson) made their Impact Wrestling debuts as a big featured attraction at Slammiversary. The team was one of the biggest prizes after so many wrestlers were released from WWE back in April. As a result, Impact Wrestling suddenly had some big names on their hands with a lot of entertainment potential. Some of that potential will be on display, albeit with nothing taking place in the ring. The Good Brothers, along with Rocky Romero and NZO (formerly Enzo Amore) are working on a new series called The Gimmicks, an anim..

WATCH: Enzo Amore Does The Coolest, Kindest Thing You’ll See Today

That’s just cool. As bigger wrestling fans, there are times where we start to forget how awesome some of these wrestlers are. There is something so special about watching your heroes fight the villains in a ring, which is what wrestling boils down to when you forget everything else. These people are important to a lot of fans and it’s cool to see them get some special treatment, which is what happened this week. I know he might not be the most popular name of all time, but there is no denying that Enzo Amore knew how to get a reaction. No matter what he did, either in the ring or out of it, fans were going to pay attention to what he did. While Amore rarely wrestles anymore, he is still making a name for himself in the hip hop industry. He is best known as a wrestler though, and one of his fans got a big treat. On Friday, Amore released a video showing himself delivering a pizza to a long time fan on her birthday. Amore delivered the pizza to Destiny, who is in a wheelchair, along wi..

Now this is a random one. While WWE is the undisputed king of professional wrestling, there is a completely different world of wrestling outside of its walls. This is the world of independent wrestling, where you never know what you’re going to get. There are a lot of ex WWE names on independent shows and over the weekend, one of the biggest names in wrestling today took on a pretty unique opponent. That’s quite the way to answer. Check out Moxley coming out for an open challenge: [This post contains video, click to play] Earlier this week, Jon Moxley answered an open challenge from CazXL (better known as Big Cass) and nZo (better known as Enzo Amore) at the Northeast Wrestling Six Flags Great Adventure show in Jackson New Jersey. Video: Enzo Amore Invades Survivor Series And Gets Ejected, Fan Injured In The Melee

It just never ends. Things wouldn’t feel right if Enzo Amore wasn’t in the news somehow. Since leaving the WWE back in January, Amore seems to do one thing after another, whether it’s good for him or not. This includes having a concert in his grandmother’s living room and getting kicked off of an airplane, but now he’s back in wrestling. Kind of. For one night only. And it didn’t go well. At Sunday’s Survivor Series, Amore, who was sitting in the second row, created a disturbance and was taken down and ejected by WWE security. The incident took place during the AOP vs. The Bar tag match and it was clear that the fans were distracted by something. According to PWInsider.com, a fan was injured during the incident, complaining of an arm injury. There is no word on her condition. How He’s Doin. Video: Enzo Amore Tells His Side Of Getting Kicked Off An Airplane.

So that’s not the case? Enzo Amore is one of the most interesting people in wrestling. Whether he’s being thrown out of the company for not telling his bosses about a criminal investigation, rapping in his grandmother’s living room or being thrown off a plane, he’s almost always in the news. His most recent moment wasn’t the most positive, but Amore has a different side to the story. Not so fast? [This post contains video, click to play] Amore recently spoke to TMZ and gave his side of being thrown off an airplane. He insisted that he wasn’t vaping as he was accused of doing but rather wasn’t telling who actually did it. Amore says that he was asked if he was vaping on the plane but instead asked the man if he was a Federal Air Marshall. The man asking was actually a flight attendant and Amore says he got off that one time. Opinion: Now how did I know that Amore was going to have his own side to the story? I’m not sure what happened on that plane but Amore’s track record isn’t exa..

It would appear that you shouldn’t upset the realest guy in the room. Former WWE superstar Enzo Amore has released a music video for his new rap song, “Phoenix.” Amore, who is now going by the rap name “Real1,” has included a few lyrics that are taking shots at the woman who accused him of rape earlier this year. You can take a look at the rap video below: [This post contains video, click to play] Below are some highlights from the video (h/t to Pro Wrestling Sheet for the transcription): The video begins with a wrestling fan arguing with his mother from the basement during the “25th anniversary of sports entertainment.” He then gets a breaking news alert and rushes to his computer — obviously in reference to Amore being sent home from WWE before Raw 25. Some noteworthy lyrics include: “They cry tears of joy at my funeral. Still I rise from the ashes like a phoenix. Middle finger to the sky grippin’ my …. consensual penis. Lyin’ ass hoe out in Phoenix. When I say that shit I mea..

Rumor: Big Cass May Have Injured His Knee Again

Oh boy. As much as medical science has improved over the years, there will always be the possibility that things might not go according to plan. A wrestler returning after being injured may not be completely healthy and could make things even worse by coming back too early. That might make things even worse, possibly even leading to another extended period of time on the injured list. Unfortunately, that might be the case again at the moment in WWE. According to PWInsider by way of ringsidenews.com, Big Cass may have reaggrivated his original recently repaired knee injury. There is a chance that Big Cass injured his knee all over again on the European tour, possibly due to coming back too soon. He was seen limping at recent shows and didn’t appear this week on SmackDown Live. Big Cass originally injured his knee on the August 21, 2017 Monday Night Raw in a match against Enzo Amore and returned in April 17, 2018 episode of SmackDown Live. Here’s something a little more amusing on Big C..

Enzo Amore Potentially Takes Dig At WWE For His Release

Enzo Amore was fired from WWE in January of this year due to being under investigation for rape allegations. Now that he has been cleared, he has returned to social media, potentially taking a dig at WWE for releasing him. When he was originally released from the company, it was noted that WWE made the decision after he refused to inform them about the investigation. When the investigation concluded, Amore’s attorney noted that the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion was not made aware of the claims until after it exploded onto social media. WWE usually wish their Superstars well in their future endeavors, but Amore was not one of those Superstars. This was likely due to the frustration that everything went public during Raw 25 and the severe nature of the claims by Amore’s accuser. Amore took to his Instagram account during a series of messages to reference the ‘future endeavors,’ explaining that it was the fans who cared about him and wished him luck in his future and trusted him wh..
