Daniel Cormier Forgot The Ending To WWE Extreme Rules Main Event

He’ll get better at it. There are all kinds of ways to spice up a match and one of the most common is to bring in someone from outside to make the match feel more special. This could include anything from a stipulation to someone extra being included. Last weekend WWE included someone extra in a match but things almost went rather bad just before the match was starting. Last Saturday at WWE Extreme Rules, UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier refereed the show’s main event between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle in the Fight Pit. Cormier discussed the event on the DC & RC Show (the Extreme Rules portion begins around 3:30), revealing that he was incredibly nervous before the match began. The issue reached the point that Cormier even forgot the finish to the match and had to ask what it was supposed to be again. There is no word on if WWE plans to use Cormier again. Opinion: The appearance did seem to mean a lot to Cormier and that is always nice to see. He suited the role well and I could se..

Brock Lesnar Passed On Fighting Another World Champion

He’ll pass for now. There are very few stars in the history of WWE who have become anything close to Brock Lesnar. Over the years, Lesnar has become one of the top attractions in modern WWE and it takes the right kind of opponent to give him a challenge. To make it more impressive, Lesnar was also a success in mixed martial arts, and it turns out that he turned down a fight there as well. Back in 2018, Lesnar seemed to be ready to set up a fight with fellow UFC heavyweight Daniel Cormier. However, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lesnar turned down the idea of fighting Cormier for unknown reasons. Lesnar would eventually fight once more in the UFC before returning to WWE. Cormier made his WWE debut this weekend as the guest referee in the Fight Pit between Seth Rollins vs. Matt Riddle at Extreme Rules. There is nothing to suggest that Cormier will be returning to WWE in the future. Opinion: That’s kind of a weird way to go, as Lesnar vs. Cormier did seem set for a big ..

Speculation Over Surprising Name For Brock Lesnar’s Next Opponent

That would certainly be different. There is no one in wrestling history like Brock Lesnar and there never will be again. Lesnar has a blend of amateur wrestling abilities, charisma and natural strength that may never be matched and WWE sees to know it. WWE has presented Lesnar as the ultimate monster and that means it is difficult to find opponents for him. Now though, they might have an idea. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE may be considering UFC Hall Of Famer Daniel Cormier as Lesnar’s next opponent. Cormier and Lesnar had a staredown in the UFC but never fought each other. A longtime wrestling fan, Cormier is set to be the guest referee for the Fight Pit match between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle at Extreme Rules on October 8. Lesnar has not wrestled for WWE since Summerslam. Opinion: This does make a bit of sense as Cormier is the kind of person who could serve as a real threat to Lesnar while still being a threat. That being said, the Cain Velasquez deal didn’t exactl..

UFC Legend Set To Appear At WWE Extreme Rules In Special Role

He’s a big one to add. Wrestling has a unique reputation in sports, as the wrestlers are seen as athletes but not in a legitimate competition. They can clearly do things that most people can’t, but they do not have the most respect when it comes to other athletes. It can mean something to have more accepted sports stars engage with wrestling, and that will be happening again next week. Ariel Helwani has announced via his Twitter that former UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier will serve as guest referee for the upcoming Fight Pit match between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle at WWE Extreme Rules. Cormier is a long time wrestling fan who has talked about doing something with WWE. Extreme Rules is scheduled for next Saturday, October 8. Breaking: Daniel Cormier will serve as guest referee for next Saturday’s Fight Pit Match between Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins at WWE’s Extreme Rules in Philly. Oct. 8. No, seriously. It’s really happening. Oct. 8. Incredible. pic.twitter.com/Ri8tH..

Crossover: WWE In Regular Talks With UFC Legend, Possible Plans For Him

It’s a good connection. Wrestling is in a weird place when it comes to being seen as a sport. While the wrestlers are absolutely athletes and people who are able to do some amazing things in the ring. At the same time though, there are always going to be people who do not see it as a real sport. It can be interesting to see what happens when athletes from more mainstream sports get into wrestling, and now a pretty big name is in talks with WWE. During a recent Twitter Spaces, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier spoke about his relationship with WWE. Cormier revealed that he regularly talks to people in WWE, including Triple H, and has been asked to work with the Creed Brothers in NXT. Cormier, who is friends with Julius Creed, is interested in working with them in some capacity but has never been able to make it work. There is no word on if Cormier will be able to work with WWE at some point in the future. Opinion: Cormier is someone who has always seemed interested in wre..

Rumor: When Is Brock Lesnar Scheduled To Wrestle Again?

Here he comes again. Last night at Hell In A Cell, Brock Lesnar made his return from WWE after a full month away from the company. While that doesn’t sound like that long on paper, it’s much more interesting when you consider that Lesnar seemed to be heading back to the UFC full time, particularly with a Heavyweight Title fight against champion Daniel Cormier penciled in for January. That’s a long way away though, so what might be on tap for the time in between? According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the current plan is for Lesnar to wrestle a match at the Saudi Arabia show on November 2. There is no word on who he will be facing at the show, though it isn’t likely to be Universal Champion Roman Reigns or Braun Strowman, the two of whom will be facing off against each other in a six man tag. Lesnar is still rumored to be facing Cormier in January. I’d say he looks fine. [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised at the idea of Lesna..

Backstage News on Brock Lesnar’s WWE Return at ‘Hell in a Cell’

Brock Lesnar’s shocking return to WWE at Hell in a Cell is the hottest news in the pro wrestling world right now and with good reason. The Beast Incarnate was believed to be out of Vince McMahon’s company, at least for now. He was supposedly on his way back to the UFC , where he and Daniel Cormier are expected to face off sometime in early 2019. Lesnar’s return ruined the Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman, infuriating many fans in the process. Considering Brock’s penchant for long absences, is there any reason to believe that will change now? Why is he back? Dave Meltzer is reporting on MMA Fighting that Brock Lesnar came back to set up a future Universal title bout. The bout will supposedly happen at a WWE event in Saudi Arabia, probably in early November. This means that current champion Roman Reigns is not safe as many fans previously believed he was. However it does seem that Lesnar is indeed planning a UFC return. Apparently while he is in the..

Daniel Cormier Says Brock Lesnar Bout Would Bring In Big Money

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier is preparing to challenge UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic for the gold in the main event of UFC 226. DC wouldn’t mind a future fight with current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar because Cormier feels a bout between them would be a big money attraction. “That thing never happens unless I get past Stipe, but just hearing out loud was like, oh my goodness,” Cormier said to MMA Fighting. “Hey, I know that when I fight Jon Jones, I make a lot of money. I know that if I was to ever fight a Brock Lesnar, I’m going to make even more money than I’ve ever made in entire life. And ultimately, championships and money is why we do this. I don’t care for all the other stuff. I want to get paid. I’m almost 40, the door’s about to close on me, so why not ride out into the sunset with a massive payday? Truckloads of money. Back up Brinks truck to Gilroy, California if you fight Brock Lesnar, I’m telling you. He told me last time, right? When tha..

Fightful MMA Rankings: UFC & Bellator MMA (Updated: 4/8/2018)

As the curator of the Fightful MMA Rankings, I wanted to give everybody a heads up to a major change in the rankings system for 2018. Just to see what each weight class would look like, all fighters who haven't competed in over a year (excluding champions) were removed from the rankings. This is going to be done like this all year and fighters will get added back to the rankings when they compete again. Note: Rankings are organized and maintained by David Tees Ultimate Fighting Championships (Top 15) Heavyweight Division Champion: Stipe Miocic 1. Francis Ngannou 2. Junior Dos Santos 3.
