WATCH: AEW Stars Appear On Monday Night Raw To Praise John Cena

June 28, 2022

They don’t go here. Twenty years ago Monday, John Cena made his WWE debut on SmackDown. What followed was one of the greatest careers in WWE history, as Cena has gone on to become one of the most decorated champions in the company’s history, as well as developed quite the film career. Now some of his peers are celebrating him, including some surprising names. This week’s Monday Night Raw was focused on Cena and his history with WWE. Throughout the show, various wrestling legends appeared in videos to praise Cena in one way or another. This included current WWE names such as Randy Orton and Stephanie McMahon, former WWE names such as Booker T. and Trish Stratus, plus some current AEW names, including Chris Jericho, Daniel Bryan and Big Show. Other names included Kurt Angle, John Bradshaw Layfield, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels and Triple H. I remember them. Bayley Trolls Fans In Hilarious Q&A Session

April 8, 2022

She’s good at this stuff. There are two major kinds of wrestlers in the world, as a wrestler can be either good or evil. Some wrestlers are flat out better in one role than another and that can make for rather strong results from either side. Every so often, a wrestler knows how to antagonize fans without being full on evil though and that was on display again this week. SmackDown’s Bayley took part in a Twitter Q&A earlier this week, though she did not actually answer any of the fans’ questions. Instead, Bayley responded with various answers that had nothing to do with what was asked, including a question by SmackDown interviewer Kayla Braxton. Here are some highlights: Ok I feel bad for yelling. Not ALL of you are mean. I’ll make it up to you, I got some free time so use #iMissMyBayley for some Q&A. — Bayley (@itsBayleyWWE) April 6, 2022 Very good point. And funny enough, one time overseas on tour, Daniel Bryan told me he thinks I’m the fastest woman in the division. (I had been ..

Eddie Kingston: An Imperfect Hero For An Imperfect World

November 19, 2021

No matter how they tell the story of professional wrestling, it is always the same. Good vs. evil; babyface vs. heel. The fans cheer for their favorite hero to finally overcome the bully that stands in their way of achieving their goals. However, outside the obstacles the heels may place, they do not seem to have many problems in their life. They smile, laugh, and have a good time. Maybe they have a family and are portrayed to have it all together. While fans do enjoy these characters, the ones they have always naturally gotten behind are the ones that seem the most real. Stone Cold Steve Austin became the biggest star in professional wrestling solely due to the fact the Everyday Man could see themselves in Austin. Everyone has had horrible bosses they wish they could give it back to. Daniel Bryan (now, Bryan Danielson in AEW) was relatable because every person in some sort of fashion has felt like they have been held down and told they aren’t what companies or people are looking f..

VIDEO: Bryan Danielson Reenacts Infamous Moment After AEW Dynamite

November 5, 2021

It’s kind of famous. There are certain moments in wrestling that are just different from the rest, as you know that you are seeing something that is going to cause some changes. These might not always be for the best, but you know them when you see them. That was the case with a certain moment about eleven years ago, and now we are seeing it recreated in a lighter mood. Back on June 7, 2010, the group that would become known as the Nexus made its WWE debut, attacking John Cena and CM Punk. A near riot broke out, which included Bryan Danielson choking ring announcer Justin Roberts with his necktie. This was seen as a step too far, and Bryan was released from the company, eventually returning in August. Following this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, Danielson and Roberts got in the ring and recreated the scene, with Danielson threatening to choke Roberts again if he ever called Danielson Daniel Bryan again. This was quite the moment. Check out the original brawl, the recreation, and so..

VIDEO: Two Massive Debuts Close AEW All Out, Plus Post Show Promo

September 6, 2021

They went big. AEW All Out has come and gone for the year and the show was quite the hit. The entire card worked well with nothing really coming close to being bad. That’s what you want out of a pay per view, but it can help if there is a little more to it. In this case, the show could have benefited from having a big surprise. It turns out that we got even more than that. AEW All Out featured a pair of debuts after the main event ended. After World Champion Kenny Omega retained his title, Omega spoke about how there was no one who could defeat him. The lights then went out and Adam Cole made his debut, only to superkick Jungle Boy and side with Omega and the Elite. This comes after Cole’s WWE contract expired late last month. Cole and the Elite then celebrated, with Omega saying no one could stop then. Then Bryan Danielson, formerly Daniel Bryan in WWE, debuted and helped clear the ring along with Christian Cage and the Jurassic Express. Danielson has not appeared at any wrestling e..

RUMOR: Here’s When Daniel Bryan Will Make AEW Debut

August 28, 2021

Here’s the next one. Last week on AEW Rampage, CM Punk made his long awaited debut and shook up the wrestling world all over again. That is the kind of appearance that you do not get to see very often and it worked incredibly well with a tremendous crowd reaction. AEW hit a home run, but it might not be their only chance at bat when it comes to major debuts. According to Bodyslam.net, Daniel Bryan is expected to make his AEW debut at All Out in Chicago, Illinois on September 5. Bryan has been rumored to debut for the company for several months now, with Punk referencing him during this week’s edition of Dynamite. Fans chanted YES during a Punk interview, to which he said that was someone else’s shtick and fans would have to wait just a bit longer. There is no word on what Bryan will be doing in AEW. VIDEO: CM Punk Drops Huge Hint About Possible Future AEW Signing

August 26, 2021

That would be big. There are certain names in wrestling who are identified with a certain word or catchphrase. It becomes their signature calling card and it is hard to imagine anyone else saying the same thing. You know it when you hear it and just the hint at such a thing makes you know a person is on the way. That was the case this week, albeit with someone not there yet. CM Punk made his first AEW Dynamite appearance on this week’s show, taking part in an in-ring interview. During the interview, Punk asked the fans if they thought he still had what it took to be the best in the world. The fans repeatedly chanted YES, which is Daniel Bryan’s catchphrase. Punk said that that was someone else’s shtick, and the people needed to be patient for that just a bit longer. This would suggest that Bryan is coming to AEW, which has been rumored for several weeks. This could be big. Here’s The Big Name Probably Heading To AEW

August 22, 2021

That would be a big one. We are still on the heels of the pretty incredible CM Punk debut on this week’s edition of AEW Rampage. Punk was the kind of star that you do not get to see show up on the show very often but it might not be the only one. It seems that Daniel Bryan is likely on his way to AEW, but now we might be having another pretty big name on his way to AEW. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Bray Wyatt is likely coming to AEW as soon as his no compete clause is signed. Wyatt was released from WWE on July 31, meaning he would be allowed to debut on October 29. The deal has not been made official yet and no deal has been signed, but the deal seems to be set. It is said to be at the same stage as Malakai Black’s deal before he officially debuted in AEW. Wyatt would be a get. Another “Major” Name Coming To AEW (Other Than Daniel Bryan)

August 21, 2021

One more? The biggest wrestling story of the weekend so far has been CM Punk making his AEW debut. That is the kind of thing that can offer a heck of a shakeup and that seems to have been the case so far. What makes this even more interesting is the fact that Punk might not be the only big name coming to AEW. It seems that we know the second name, but what if there was a third? In addition to Punk, Daniel Bryan is expected to debut for AEW at some point in the near future. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, sources close to AEW have said that another major acquisition was coming, in addition to Punk and Bryan. There is no word on who this is or when they would be debuting. The discussion came after a mention of Ric Flair possibly coming to AEW, though it is not clear if he would be the third acquisition. This could be a few people. Check out some great AEW debuts: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains..

Bryan Danielson’s AEW Not-So “Fantasy” Bookings?

August 8, 2021

Bryan Danielson’s pro wrestling future has been a hot topic of conversation over the past several weeks. Much of the speculation online centers on the possibility and some would say eventual likelihood, that he has signed a deal with All Elite Wrestling. Neither side has confirmed a signing as of yet. That’s not surprising of course, as the desire to keep things under wraps in the business is still very much in play here. Assuming Danielson is indeed coming onboard, AEW would want to surprise the fans and save his debut for just the right time. So if it does happen, who would be the most ideal choices to face him in the company? The idea of Danielson actually joining AEW was nothing more than just a dream at one time. The man formerly known as Daniel Bryan seemed to be enjoying his run in WWE and never really appeared to be searching for something else. He was part of that company’s weekly TV grind and everything seemed to be moving fairly well for him. But there would always be ru..

KB’s Review: Two For AEW

July 29, 2021

The wrestling stories of the year so far have been all of the roster moves taking place. There have been all kinds of WWE moves and changes throughout the year, mainly due to a series of releases that have trimmed off all kinds of wrestlers from the company’s ranks. A lot of those wrestlers have moved on elsewhere, but WWE is not the only promotion to be making some moves. AEW has made some changes of their own, and now they are stealing some headlines of their own with a pair of potentially huge moves. Last week, rumors began to circulate that both CM Punk and Daniel Bryan had either come to terms with AEW or had already been signed to the company. Either way, it seems pretty likely that at least one of them is going to be showing up, probably either in Chicago or in New York at Grand Slam. So what does all of this mean for AEW and both Bryan and Punk going forward? For the sake of simplicity, we’re going to assume that both of them have signed and will be debuting for AEW In the ne..

RUMOR: CM Punk Signing With AEW Shakes Up Daniel Bryan Plans

July 26, 2021

It did shake things up a bit. There have been a lot of wrestling stories taking place in the last few weeks and two of the biggest go hand in hand. This week, stories broke suggesting that both CM Punk and Daniel Bryan have either signed with AEW or are all but signed. That is the kind of thing that could change up the wrestling world but it has already shaken up AEW. According to Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net on the jaBROnies podcast, AEW’s plans for Bryan were changed when Punk was signed to the company. The original idea had been for Bryan to debut during the September 22 Grand Slam event in New York City. As a result, the plans for the show have been changed, as AEW is trying to come up with a solution to showcase both stars as well as possible while capitalizing on the buzz. Punk is a former multiple time WWE World Champion but has not wrestled a match since January 2014. While he has not wrestled, he did appear as an analyst for WWE Backstage on Fox Sports 1 starting in 2019. ..

RUMOR: Daniel Bryan Signs With AEW, Details On Debut

July 22, 2021

That would be a big one. There have been a lot of changes in wrestling over the last few years and a lot of them have made for some very exciting situations. One of the biggest changes has been the amount of wrestlers moving from one promotion to another. This has given us some great moments, and now we might be in for the biggest change of them all so far. Interesting Update On Daniel Bryan’s WWE Status

July 21, 2021

Plans change? With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be hard to keep track of all of them. When you throw in the amount of wrestlers who have been let go from the company this year, things get all the more confusing. There are going to be some who catch your attention a bit more than others, but one of them might be on the way to a new home. Back on April 30, Daniel Bryan lost to Roman Reigns, forcing him to leave SmackDown. Bryan’s WWE contract has since expired, making him a free agent who has yet to hire anyone. According to PWInsider.com, Bryan is not listed on any internal WWE roster and is not expected to be included as a part of the upcoming Mattel action figure line. This could be a sign of something bigger. Bryan has not been mentioned backstage whatsoever lately, which has led some sources to believe that Bryan is either planning to sign or will sign with AEW. This is just speculation at the moment and there is nothing to guarantee that this is the case. AEW has m..

Interesting Sign On Daniel Bryan’s WWE Future

July 13, 2021

That might be a bad sign. There are all kinds of wrestlers in the world today and not all of them are part of WWE. Some of them might have been at one point, but not everyone winds up sticking around. That can lead to some interesting situations when one might be on the way back, but it seems for now that someone already gone might stay that way for a little while to come. According to Wrestling Observer Live, Daniel Bryan is not listed on a major upcoming project for WWE. While not confirmed, the project is suspected to be the latest WWE video game. Bryan was one of several names listed as being part of the project, which could suggest that he is not part of the company’s plans in the near future. If this is the video game, this move would be made to avoid paying Bryan and others royalties. Bryan has not been seen on WWE television since the April 30 edition of SmackDown when he lost to Roman Reigns in a Universal Title match. As a result of his loss, Bryan was forced to leave Smack..

VIDEO: Surprise Return Sets Up Likely WWE Main Event Program

June 26, 2021

Welcome back. One of the most entertaining things you can see in wrestling is a surprise return. If these are timed right, it can be about as cool as you can get in wrestling, as a major name returning at just the right time can do all kinds of good for a show. That was the case again this week, as a legend returned to fill in a spot that no one else was taking at the moment. Edge made a surprise return at the end of this week’s SmackDown. Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman were in the ring to give the State Of The Universal Championship Address, where Heyman spoke about how there was no one left for Reigns to face. Edge then returned and brawled with Reigns, but had to stop to beat up Jimmy Uso instead. This was Edge’s first appearance since losing to Reigns in a triple threat match, also involving Daniel Bryan, at WrestleMania 37. Edge was previously advertised for the July 16 edition of SmackDown, which will be the first WWE event with a full capacity of fans since March 2020. There is ..
