Monday Night Raw Results – February 13, 2023

Monday Night Raw Date: February 13, 2023 Location: Barclays Center, New York City, New York Commentators: Corey Graves, Kevin Patrick It is the go home show for the Elimination Chamber and that means we need to finalize everything for the red half of the event. We should be in for some hard pushes, including the contract signing between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar. There is also the Lita return last week to deal with so let’s get to it. Here is Becky Lynch, with Adam Pearce, for a chat. Becky is happy to be here and says she even dressed spiffy for us. She thanks Lita for her help last week but realizes that she needs a path to Wrestlemania. That sounds like something to do with a title to her, so she wants in the Elimination Chamber. Cue Bayley, who says she should be in the Chamber, because Lita CHEATED last week. That match should be stricken from the record book, which sends Bayley and Becky into an argument over Wrestlemania credentials. Bayley says Becky lost in her Wrestle..

REVIEW: Raw 25: The Previous Biggest Reunion Ever

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net, starting today. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Monday Night Raw 25th Anniversary Date: January 22, 2018 Location: Manhattan Center, New York City, New York/Barclays Center, New York City, New York Commentators: Michael Cole, Corey Graves, Booker T., Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler Now this is a big night with the show having been build up for several months and a slew of guest stars booked for the night. The show is also being run from two arenas, including the location of the first ever episode. I’m more excited for this than I am for Sunday’s Royal Rumbl..

Monday Night Raw Results – October 10, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: October 10, 2022 Location: Barclays Center, New York City, New York Commentators: Corey Graves, Kevin Patrick It’s the season premiere and that means we should have a stacked show. WWE has a tendency to make these shows huge and that is the case again this week. We have a D-Generation X reunion, plus Bobby Lashley defending the United States Title against Seth Rollins. Let’s get to it. Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg and X-Pac are in the back and talk to HHH, wearing a headset at the Gorilla position. HHH tells them to be nice so a bunch of swearing and penis jokes, complete with rubber chickens, ensues. Opening sequence. Kevin Patrick is introduced as the new lead play by play commentator. Here’s the Bloodline to get things going. After we look at the Logan Paul/Bloodline Smackdown segment, Reigns talks about how he likes to move forward. This time though, he can’t move past last Friday, which has him thinking about something his dad once told him. His dad said t..

Huge Title Change Takes Place On Monday Night Raw

He who hath the gold. There are a lot of titles in WWE and some of them are among the most famous in all of wrestling. Winning such titles can make a hue difference for anyone, even if they have held the gold before. It means something to see a title change hands under any circumstances, and that took place again this week, albeit with some shenanigans before the match. Brock Lesnar made his return to Monday Night Raw this week and took out reigning United States Champion Bobby Lashley. Immediately following the attack, Seth Rollins came tot he ring for his scheduled United States Title shot. Rollins would go on to win the title in less than three minutes, defeating the previously injured Lashley with the Stomp. This is Rollins’ second reign with the title, which he previously held for 28 days in 2015. Both title wins came in the Barclays Center in New York City. Opinion: WWE telegraphed the win a bit but this was the kind of title change that makes things interesting. Lashley has be..

Huge Reunion Set For October 10 Monday Night Raw

It’s a homecoming. Stables have long since been a major concept in WWE and it makes a lot of sense. Putting a group of wrestlers together allows them to fill in more television time while also getting more people on the show. That is a tricky thing to do and a stable can make it that much easier. Now WWE is bringing back one of the biggest stables ever for a special reunion. As announced by the Barclays Center Twitter, D-Generation X will be reuniting to celebrate twenty five years of the team on the October 10 Monday Night Raw. The members who will be appearing are not specified but Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Road Dogg and X-Pac appear in the clip. There is no word on what the team will be doing during their reunion. D-Generation X has had various reunions over the years after splitting up full time. BROOKLYN! The DX 25th Anniversary Celebration is set to take place at @wwe Monday Night RAW on October 10!? Don’t miss out, get tix now??https://t.co/EsnEKRis9I pic.twitter.com/GXi1eG4..

SmackDown Live Coverage And Results – March 25, 2022

Smackdown Date: March 25, 2022 Location: Barclays Center, New York City, New York Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee We’re eight days away from Wrestlemania and believe it or not, the preview for the show has a picture of Roman Reigns/Brock Lesnar/Paul Heyman, because that is the only thing on this show that matters. It would be nice for the new Intercontinental Champion to get a Wrestlemania match set up, but I wouldn’t bet on it anytime soon. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Brock Lesnar’s path of rage last week, including the fork lift attack on the Bloodline’s SUV. Opening sequence. Brock Lesnar is outside of Reigns’ dressing room and says that he has paid some fines and bought some vehicles, including a blood red SUV for Reigns himself. Now upper management has told him to not have any contact with Reigns, so he’ll be sitting in Reigns’ locker room and wait for a good provoking. Lesnar goes into the empty room, likes what he has found (“Not as good as mine but not ..

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – November 22, 2021

Monday Night Raw Date: November 22, 2021 Location: Barclays Center, New York City, New York Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton We’re done with Survivor Series and Raw won the Battle For Brand Supremacy, which I don’t think was actually mentioned on the show. What was mentioned was Mr. McMahon’s egg, which is a prop from a movie that he thinks is worth millions of dollars. Then someone stole it and tonight we need to find out who did it. What a great way to start the holidays so let’s get to it. Vince McMahon is glaring at Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville over the missing egg. We recap the case of the stolen egg. Back in the office, Vince tells Pearce and Deville that they need to find out who did this. Deville has talked to everyone and the surveillence footage isn’t clear. Vince makes them an offer: if someone confesses, they can face Big E. for the WWE Title tonight. Now find it or be fired. Randy Orton is ready to face Dolph Ziggler, who could get lost on the wa..

Survivor Series 2021 Live Coverage And Results

Survivor Series 2021 Date: November 21, 2021 Location: Barclays Center, New York City, New York Commentators: Michael Cole, Corey Graves, Jimmy Smith, Byron Saxton, Pat McAfee I’m running out of ways to say this show isn’t that interesting, but it seems that even some of the wrestlers are thinking the same. This is another Battle For Brand Supremacy and this time around we’ll be seeing more champions fighting each other. Not for any titles mind you, but for the glory of their t-shirt. Let’s get to it. Kickoff Show: Shinsuke Nakamura (Smackdown) vs. Damian Priest (Raw) Non-title and Rick Boogs is here with Nakamura. Priest grabs a hammerlock to start but Nakamura fights up thanks to the power of a guitar solo. Back up and Nakamura mocks Priest’s arrow before sending him into the corner for Good Vibrations, again complete with the guitar. Priest runs Nakamura over for two and an elbow the face gets the same. We hit the chinlock so Boogs plays him back up, earning a warning from Priest...

Following that, both Bayley and the NXT Women’s Champion entered in style with Bayley paying tribute to Dusty Rhodes by adorning herself in polka dots and Banks riding into the Barclays Center in a Cadillac Escalade with a full security detail. REVIEW: Summerslam 2015: He Tapped

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Summerslam 2015 Date: August 23, 2015 Location: Barclays Center, New York City, New York Attendance: 15,702 Commentators: Michael Cole, John Bradshaw Layfield, Jerry Lawler I barely remember anything about this show save for the two main events. It really is amazing that these shows have just stopped standing out aside from Wrestlemania. Unfortunately we’re at the point where Summerslam is now a regular four hour show because three hours of pay per view plus five hours of TV a week and a two hour NXT show the nigh..

WWE RUMOR: Important Detail On Survivor Series

Kind of an important detail. As you have probably heard, WWE is back on the road for the first time in over fifteen months. That is a great change of pace for WWE and it is already feeling like something more important. WWE has needed to hit the ground running after their time in Florida and now they are going elsewhere. We might even know where one of their most important shows is going. According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Wrestling Podcast, this year’s Survivor Series is expected to take place at the Barclay’s Center in New York City, New York. WWE has yet to announce the location of the show or any matches for the card. As previously reported, the Rock is rumored to be appearing at the event. This would be the fourth time the event would be held in New York, following 1996, 2002 and 2011. Tentative plans for Survivor Series location is Barclays Center in Brooklyn NY. pic.twitter.com/EtKlmmNHs9 — Andrew Zarian (@AndrewZarian) July 22, 2021 Survivor Series is one of the big ..

WWE Hoping To Get The Rock For Survivor Series Appearance

It’s worth a try. There are very few instances where a wrestler becomes bigger than the promotion they are in. Every now and then though, it becomes clear that a wrestler has nothing left to accomplish in the sport and it is time to move on. That has only taken place a handful of times in wrestling history but now one of the biggest names of all time might be heading back to the wrestling world. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is hoping that this year’s Survivor Series will be a major show. The company is hoping to hold the event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, as well as having the Rock appear at the show. There is nothing to suggest that a deal has been made at this time and it is not clear if Rock would be available for the show in the first place. The Rock made his WWE debut at Survivor Series in 1996. Should this happen, there is a chance that it could be part of the build towards a Universal Title match between the Rock and Roman Reigns. WWE ha..

REVIEW: NXT Takeover: Brooklyn IV: Their Big Night

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Takeover: Brooklyn IV Date: August 18, 2018 Location: Barclays Center, New York City, New York Commentators: Mauro Ranallo, Percy Watson, Nigel McGuinness It’s time for the biggest show of the year and as usual, there are multiple options for most of the card. The key to tonight though is going to be the live crowd, who are going to be over the top for a show like this. If Gargano vs. Ciampa III is anything resembling the previous matches, we’re in for a major treat. Let’s get to it. The opening video focuses on the..

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – March 2, 2020

Monday Night Raw Date: March 2, 2020 Location: Barclays Center, New York City, New York Commentators: Byron Saxton, Jerry Lawler, Tom Phillips This is a weird one as it’s the fallout show from Super ShowDown as well as the go home show for Elimination Chamber. Hopefully we get more for the latter than the former as Elimination Chamber is hardly looking like a strong show at the moment. I’m not sure what we are going to see added but they need to do a lot of it. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Here are Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar to get things going. Heyman does his usual shtick and then says he can’t do this. It’s their job to make you interested in Wrestlemania and yes, this year’s card looks like the best in years. The problem is the main event, which is a sham. Drew McIntyre is overhyped, because he eliminated Lesnar from the Royal Rumble with the help of a low blow from Ricochet. There is no reason to believe that McIntyre can pin or submit Lesnar because the next time Lesn..

Video: Opening For Summerslam Released

Let’s get it started. While a lot of fans are going to remember one specific match from a wrestling show, a lot more might remember the opening video. If there’s one thing that WWE knows how to do, it’s put together a video package that makes you want to see what they have coming up for the rest of the evening. This is an area where WWE shines and that’s what they did again this time around. And we get a sneak preview. [This post contains video, click to play] WWE has released the opening video to this year’s Summerslam six days before the show airs. The video features actor Terry Crews outside the Barclays Center (the location for Sunday’s show), talking in rhyme about how this year’s show is about achieving your dreams, no matter how high they might be. As is usually the case with WWE videos, things then shifts into a set of clips about this year’s major matches. Check out the changes to the Summerslam card announced this week. Opinion: Hiring a well known actor like Crews is a..

UFC 223 Preliminary Card Ratings Are In

This past weekend, MMA fans were treated to a circus of craziness called UFC 223, which took place from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. While the weekend may be best remembered for former UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor attacking a bus full of UFC fighters, it was also a weekend filled with some excellent bouts, four of which were part of the preliminary card that aired live on Fox Sports 1. The four fight preliminary card, with Karolina Kowalkiewicz and Felice Herrig in the featured spot, brought in 852,000 viewers. It was the featured bout between Kowalkiewicz and Herrig that brought in the most viewers, with 1,057,000 people checking out that encounter. Other fights on the preliminary card saw Devin Clark defeat Mike Rodriguez, Ashlee Evans-Smith defeat Bec Rawlings and Olivier Aubin-Mercier defeat Evan Dunham. A pre-fight show aired on Fox Sports 1 and that drew 373,000 viewers, while the post-fight show on Fox Sports 1 brought in 138,000 viewers. There were..

“Wrestlemania XXXV” Location Officially Announced

And so it’s official. We’re coming up on “Wrestlemania XXXIV” but it’s not too early to look forward to “Wrestlemania XXXV”. It’s not clear what matches will be taking place or who will be the major focus of the show, but we now know where the show will be taking place. This was rumored for a long time and now we know for sure. It’s been there before. [This post contains video, click to play] In an announcement on WWE.com, “Wrestlemania XXXV” will be taking place in MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on April 7, 2019. This is the second time the stadium has hosted the show after “Wrestlemania XXIX” was held there in 2013. The same weekend will see “Takeover”, “Monday Night Raw” and “Smackdown Live” taking place in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Opinion: It wouldn’t be WWE if they didn’t go back to New York every now and then. That’s their home and while they’re certainly a worldwide company, New York is what matters more than anywhere else. It’s a big deal and just being ..
