Reigning WWE Champion Wants To Change Title Into Something Completely Different
It would be a big change. Titles are some of the most important things in all of wrestling and a change to one of them can mean quite a bit. There are all kinds of them floating around at the moment, especially in WWE. Occasionally the company makes a change to one of their established titles and now a current champion wants her title to be turned into something else.
During a recent interview with the 10 Count podcast, reigning WWE 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke said that she wanted to transition her title into a women’s Intercontinental Title. Brooke felt that the amount of talent that the company has, including the returning stars, gives WWE enough depth to create such a title. There is nothing to suggest that WWE is interested in creating a women’s Intercontinental Title.
Opinion: I’m really not sure I can picture such a title being established, but I would have said the same thing about an all women’s pay per view or a women’s match main eventing WrestleMania. The WWE women’s division has come a very long way and it can be fascinating to see what they put together. It isn’t something that is likely to happen, but stranger things have taken place in the same division.
What do you think of Brooke’s idea? Will it ever happen? Let us know in the comments below.
