As it turns out, the future of pro wrestling veteran Bayley with WWE has been a hot topic in recent days. The speculation began when F4WOnline shared that her arrangement looks set to expire in the fourth quarter of 2026. However, Fightful Select later validated that Bayley’s contract will actually end by the end of this year, and as of now, she has not inked a deal a new deal.
There is covered interest from AEW regarding the previous WWE Women’s Reigning champion, and the company is prepared to make a move if Bayley chooses to enter free agency.
Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez weighed in on Bayley’s situation, on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer mentioned that he wrapped up up being informed that Bayley faces a “major decision.” Concluding weekend, she came up short in to Lyra Valkyria via submission at Saturday Night’s Headlining encounter. Was subsequently ambushed by her former ally, which Meltzer interpreted as a conclusion to that storyline. He implied that her resurgence would depend on whether she signs a new arrangement.
Meltzer and Alvarez drew parallels between Bayley’s present situation and that of Ricochet two years ago, when he declined to sign a brand-new deal and was written off after a off-camera attack by Bron Breakker. Notably, meltzer believes that if Bayley does decide to re-sign with WWE, a reappearance angle could involve her seeking vengeance against Valkyria.
