Pro Wrestling News News On John Cena’s WWE Deal Following In-Ring Retirement

WWE legend and 17-time World Reigning champion John Cena had his final contest with the company during closing December’s Saturday Night’s Top bout, where he faced “The Ring General” GUNTHER. Cena has consistently stated that he is finished with in-ring competition.

In a June interview — he emphasized that it would be financially unwise for anyone to persuade him to resurgence for another clash, and he genuinely thinks that. Cena mentioned that if someone is looking to waste money, that’s the only scenario in which he would consider stepping back into the ring.

Some supporters speculated that this might leave the door open for Cena to wrestle elsewhere in the future, though that is unlikely. As previously shared, Cena locked in a deal a recently introduced agreement ahead of his in-ring retirement, which designates him as an ambassador for the company. It should be clear that this contract prohibits him from wrestling anywhere else, as reported by sources cited by Fightful Select.

Additionally, the moment was noted that the John Cena Classic is still planned for later this year, with a target date in December, although this has not yet been finalized.
