It’s Tricky: Update On Edge’s Current Contract, Differences From Original Reports

That could make a difference. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be difficult to keep track of everyone. WWE has a mixture of modern stars and legends on the main roster, and it can be interesting to see where they all fit in. Now though, there is some confusion about the contract status of one of the biggest stars that WWE has on its current roster.

According to Fightful Select, there are some discrepancies regarding previous reports of Edge’s WWE contract. Previous reports said Edge signed a three year contract in 2020, calling for 25 appearances and 5 matches per year, but Edge wrestled 21 times in 2021 and 6 times this year. There is a chance that the original report was inaccurate or that Edge’s deal was changed. It is not clear when Edge’s current contract expires or how many more matches he has left on his deal.

Opinion: Edge is one of the biggest stars that WWE has today and it makes sense that they want him around as often as can be made to work. At the same time though, Edge is in his late 40s and might not want to wrestle anything close to a full time schedule. It makes Edge’s appearances feel more important and special, which is probably what WWE is going for most of the time.
