Mick Foley Opens Up On Health Issues From His Career

October 30, 2022 • Admin

That is never something you want to hear. There are all kinds of injuries and health issues that can cause serious problems for wrestlers. Some of them take place all at once, but there are others that are built up over time and last long into a wrestler’s retirement. Certain legends have opened up about their issues and now another is telling us what happened to him at an important point in his career. During a recent edition of his Foley Is Pod podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley talked about his return to WWE back in 2012. Around the time he was going back, Foley saw a doctor about his health issues. In addition to neurological issues, Foley had severe issues with his back. This included problems with five different discs, which have caused his spine to curve. The issue has caused Foley to be in pain and also to lose height. There is nothing to suggest that the problem can be solved through surgery or other means. Opinion: You could tell that Foley was in pain just by looking at..

Arn Anderson On Time As A WWE Producer: “I Hated That Job”

October 30, 2022 • Admin

It’s a rough job. There are all kinds of people who have to come together to make a WWE show work and a lot of them don’t even get in the ring. Some of the people are there as a representative of the company as a way to make sure things go well. Now one of them is talking about his former position and how it did not exactly go as well as he had been hoping. During the latest edition of his ARN podcast, former WWE producer Arn Anderson spoke about his time in the role. Anderson said that he actually hated the job, as he was only involved in the finish of the match. If the rest of the match did not go well, he would get blamed by Vince McMahon. The job would have been easier if he had more authority of the match, as it would have kept him from taking so much blame for so little influence. Anderson also described himself as a “scapegoat” for any problems that came up during matches he produced, even if he had little to do with it. Anderson worked for WWE from 2001-2019. Opinion: This is..

LOOK: NXT Stars Get Creative In Halloween Costume Battle Royal

October 30, 2022 • Admin

Tis the season. Wrestling is about having fun and entertaining the fans in one way or another. There are multiple ways to do just that and some of them are a lot goofier than others. At times, the best thing that can be done is just do something entertaining without trying to be overly serious. That took place again this weekend as an annual tradition was brought back. NXT brought back its Halloween costume battle royal over the weekend at a live event in Melbourne, Florida. The match included several women competing for an NXT Women’s Title shot against Mandy Rose in the show’s main event. Thea Hail, who was dressed as Andre Chase, won the battle royal but lost to Rose in the title match. Here are some of the participants, including how their costumes looked: NXT did a Halloween Battle Royal tonight with the women. Some costumes: Cora: AJ Lee Roxanne: Bayley Wendy: Sumo wrestler Valentina: Nurse Thea: Andre Chase Sloane: Poison Ivy Zoey: Triple H Jacy: Taker Gigi: Chucky Sol..

Identity Of SmackDown’s Uncle Howdy Possibly Revealed With Old Photo

October 30, 2022 • Admin

That’s a big hint. There are several ways to debut a new star and some of them can be quite unique. It can be interesting to see a tease of a new star coming to a promotion, but there are also times where someone appears without letting us know who it is. That took place earlier this week, but now we might have a hint about who we are seeing, even if they haven’t given us anything concrete. The end of this week’s edition of SmackDown saw the debut of Uncle Howdy, who had appeared before but never identified himself. The shot of Uncle Howdy’s face did not make his identity clear, but we might have a hint. Uncle Howdy could be seen wearing a cross earring, which had previously been worn by former NXT Champion Bo Dallas. This is not confirmed, though Dallas has been rumored to be returning to WWE to be involved with Wyatt’s story. BO-LIEVE! pic.twitter.com/uOFqYlN5Hi — Wrestling News (@WrestlingNewsCo) October 29, 2022 Opinion: Dallas would make sense for this spot, though I’m not sur..

Possible Reason Why Two WWE Stars Are Missing

October 30, 2022 • Admin

That would explain some things. You never know when you are going to see a wrestler get injured and be forced to miss a bunch of time from the ring. Unfortunately the question in such a situation is how long someone is going to be out of action, and sometimes there is no answer in sight. This time though, there is a possibility that one injury is keeping two people out of action. Earlier this month, Asuka was injured at the hands of Damage Ctrl, putting her on the shelf. At the same time, Asuka’s partner, Alexa Bliss, has not been wrestling on television but has been wrestling at live events. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is a chance that Asuka is dealing with a legitimate injury, which could be keeping her out of the ring. As a result, Bliss is not wrestling on television until Asuka returns. This is not yet confirmed and is still considered speculation. Opinion: That might be a bit of a stretch to figure out why Bliss is gone and I would hope that it isn’t t..

Becky Lynch Explains What Hurt Her Friendship With Charlotte

October 29, 2022 • Admin

As good a reason as any. Wrestling is a sport all about conflict, which is made all the trickier when a majority of fans know that what they are watching is scripted. At times though, there are some feuds that look more realistic than others because there is an element of reality in them. Two major WWE stars have some real life issues and now one of them is explaining a bit more. There have long been stories of real life heat between Charlotte and Becky Lynch, despite the two of them formerly being friends. Lynch appeared on the MMA Hour (Lynch’s segment begins around 1:43:40) and discussed the issues between her and Charlotte and offering an explanation. According to Lynch, the issues stem from the two of them being competitive and wanting to be the best. The two of them competed for the top spot and ultimately fell out because of it. There is no word on how the relationship status is now. Both are currently off WWE TV, with Charlotte on a hiatus and Lynch recovering from a shoulder ..

AEW Rampage Results – October 28, 2022

October 29, 2022 • Admin

Rampage Date: October 28, 2022 Location: Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, Connecticut Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone We’re back with another live Rampage this week and this time we have the World Champion in action as Jon Moxley is facing Matt Menard. That would likely be the big match of the show and after that, there is a good chance the star power goes a bit downhill in a hurry. I’m not sure what that is going to entail but we should be in for a fun show. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jon Moxley vs. Matt Menard Non-title and Angelo Parker is here with Menard. Hang on though as Moxley asks Menard for a minute before going after a distracting Parker. With that not working, Moxley sends him outside and there’s a ram into the barricade. There’s the back rake to Menard and Moxley bites away back inside. We hear that Mike Tyson will be on commentary next week as Menard has to block a Figure Four attempt. Parker gets in a shot that we don’t see (until the replay) a..

WWE Hall Of Famer Making Special AEW Appearance Next Week

October 29, 2022 • Admin

He’s a draw. There are different ways to draw an audience to a wrestling show and some of them are more unique than others. While one of the most common is to have a big match on the card, there is also the option of bringing in a special attraction that will almost guarantee more people will watch. That is what AEW is attempting next week with a legend from a different sport. It was announced this week on Rampage that WWE Hall of Famer and former boxing Heavyweight Champion of the World Mike Tyson will be doing commentary on next week’s show. Tyson has dabbled in wrestling over the years, most famously as the guest referee for the main event of WrestleMania 14. He has also made multiple appearances for AEW, most recently in April 2021. Opinion: This is the kind of appearance that does make sense and should draw some more eyes to the show. It is nice that AEW is trying to make Rampage feel like a bigger deal, though it does come off a bit like they are trying a quick way to pop a rat..

AEW TNT Champion Wardlow: “I Have Girls Chained Up In My Bedroom”

October 29, 2022 • Admin

Well that’s….unique. Wrestlers are best known for what they do in the ring but there is a completely different side to what they do. While the in-ring work is important, the ability to talk people into watching the show might be the most important thing of all. As a result, wrestlers are going to do a lot of talking a lot of the time and now a prominent star said something rather eye catching. AEW TNT Champion Wardlow appeared on Busted Open Radio this week and discussed how wrestlers are similar to horror movie and television series characters, in that they have characters, gimmicks and a theme song. In particular, Wardlow spoke about the Joe Goldberg character from the “You” TV series, saying he did not know why you would chain people up in your basement. Wardlow then said “I have girls chained up in my bedroom, but no one in my basement”. Wardlow successfully defended the TNT Title against Matt Taven this week on AEW Rampage. Opinion: Well that’s certainly a statement that is goin..

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE May Move Major Annual Matches To WrestleMania

October 29, 2022 • Admin

That would change things up again. WWE has been going through a lot of changes in recent months and there is nothing to suggest that those changes are going to be ending anytime soon. There have been different wrestlers appearing with some returning after a long absence. This time though, a big time change could give a lot of those wrestlers something to do at the biggest event of the year. According to WrestleVotes during an interview with GiveMeSport, WWE is considering moving the Money In The Bank ladder matches to WrestleMania, with the men’s edition taking place on one night and the women’s on the other. This would also likely mean the end of Money In The Bank as a stand alone premium live event. This is currently just under consideration and not an official change as of yet. Money In The Bank has been a stand alone event since 2010. Opinion: I could see this taking place, as WWE does seem interested in getting rid of the theme shows. That is a move that I could have gone with a..

WWE Adds Two Huge Title Matches To Crown Jewel

October 29, 2022 • Admin

Two for the big one. We are on the way to Crown Jewel next week and that means WWE is going to be adding in as many big matches as they can to make the card feel special. That is one of the hardest things to do as it takes quite a bit of effort to make everything work. WWE is doing what they can and now they have two more matches to add to the card, both of which have potential. WWE announced two more Crown Jewel matches this week on SmackDown. First up, Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair will defend her title against Bayley in a Last Woman Standing match. This comes after Bayley defeated Belair this week on Monday Night Raw. Second, the Brawling Brutes will challenge the Usos for the WWE Tag Team Titles. The Brutes and the Bloodline have been feuding for the last several weeks. Crown Jewel takes place on Saturday November 5. Opinion: This is the kind of night the show needed as two more matches were added in as many hours. At some point you need to build up the card and with less th..

SmackDown Results – October 28, 2022

October 29, 2022 • Admin

Smackdown Date: October 28, 2022 Location: Enterprise Center, St. Louis, Missouri Commentators: Wade Barrett, Michael Cole We are less than eight days away from Crown Jewel and Roman Reigns is actually here this time. Odds are he’s going to be talking about Logan Paul, but there is always the chance that he will be giving us some hints about what he is going to be doing at Survivor Series. Other than that, I’m sure Bray Wyatt will be running around. Let’s get to it. Brawling Brutes vs. Solo Sikoa/Sami Zayn In the back, Sami asks Jey Uso to keep things calm, as Roman Reigns isn’t here yet and the first thing he needs to see is the team being successful. Butch and Zayn start things off with the former hitting a rather hard clothesline. Holland comes in to help Butch out with some forearms to the chest. Jimmy gets in a cheap shot to Butch from the floor but he’s fine enough to send Sami outside. A running knee off the apron drops Zayn but Sikoa runs Butch over as we take a break. Back ..

33 Year Old Former WWE Star Makes Surprise Return After 5 Year Absence

October 29, 2022 • Admin

Welcome back! There have been a lot of stars to come through the WWE’s doors over the years and it can be quite a moment when someone leaves. There are some departures that can shake up the company, while others leave without getting to prove themselves well enough. Occasionally those stars will get to make a return and that is the case again with a long departed star. Emma made a surprise return this week on SmackDown, marking her first appearance with the company in just under five years. Emma answered Ronda Rousey’s open challenge for a SmackDown Women’s Title shot, ultimately losing via submission. This was Emma’s first appearance for WWE since October 2017. She previously wrestled in WWE and NXT from 2012-2017 and has stayed on the independent circuit since, plus a stint in Impact Wrestling. Opinion: I’m glad to see Emma back as she is someone who could be put into the middle of the card to fill in a spot. She has the talent and charisma needed to be interesting and I could go f..

WWE Considering Major Feud For Bray Wyatt

October 28, 2022 • Admin

They have a plan. Back at WWE Extreme Rules, Bray Wyatt made his return to the company after a year plus absence. Wyatt’s return has led to a question about what is next for him in WWE, as he has been presented as one of the top stars in the company. Now WWE needs to figure out what he is going to do next and they might have an idea for a major feud. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE may be considering a feud between Wyatt and Roman Reigns at some point in the future. It is not clear when this feud will be taking place or if WWE has officially decided to have the two feud. Reigns defeated Wyatt and Braun Strowman to win the WWE Universal Title at Payback 2020 and he has held the title ever since. Opinion: This is an idea that will have to happen at some point though I’m worried about what happens if Wyatt loses to Reigns. The best way to kill off the momentum of someone like Wyatt is to have them lose and making him Reigns’ latest victim is a rather dangerous idea. ..

LOOK: Man Wears WWE Title During Suspected Armed Robbery

October 28, 2022 • Admin

A fashion accessory? WWE is the biggest and most powerful wrestling promotion in the world and to a lot of fans, it is the wrestling promotion. Several fans associate the industry with WWE and a lot of fans are going to be familiar with the company’s signature logo. Unfortunately the logo was involved in something rather negative earlier this week with police having to be involved. According to KWTX (CBS affiliate near Waco, Texas) in Temple, Texas, a man is wanted for suspicion of an armed robbery of a store. The man was filmed wearing a replica WWE Title upside down with a hood over his face and no shoes. The amount of money stolen was not reported and the suspect has yet to be apprehended. In the article, the suspect is described as a “WWE Champion”. Opinion: This is one of those things that you don’t see very often and it doesn’t make WWE look great. At the same time, the good part is that WWE isn’t directly involved as this is more about a suspect doing something that is more th..

Surprise Name Tops Annual PWI Women’s 150 List

October 28, 2022 • Admin

She’s #1! One of the most common things that you see among wrestling fans is a discussion of the best wrestlers. At one point or another, every fan has debated something about wrestling, often over who the best is at any given thing. Thunder Rosa (AEW) 4. Becky Lynch (WWE) 5. Jade Cargill (AEW) 6. Jordynne Grace (Impact Wrestling) 7. Saya Kamitani (Stardom) 8. Charlotte Flair (WWE) 9. Starlight Kid (St..

Former WWE Star Posts Old Photo, Leading To Speculation About Bray Wyatt Connection

October 28, 2022 • Admin

Let him in too? The return of Bray Wyatt at WWE Extreme Rules has changed the main event scene of WWE and now the question becomes what happens from here. There are a lot of ways the story could go and since it’s something involving Wyatt, the chances of someone being added to mix is rather high. WWE has already teased someone new being involved and a former Wyatt associate is hinting that it could be him. Last week on SmackDown, a Wyatt vignette led to a cowboy who said “howdy”, though it was not clear who the man was. Shortly thereafter, former WWE star and Wyatt Family member Erick Redbeard, formerly Erick Rowan, posted an image of himself with his eyes missing, saying it was an “old photo”. This has led to fans speculating that Redbeard could be part of the upcoming Wyatt stable, though it is not clear if that will be the case. OLD photo…. pic.twitter.com/shLwG93Gln — Joseph Ruud (@ErickRedBeard) October 26, 2022 Sup Uncle Howdy ?? — Vince Ruthless Aggressive (@TheCenaxDivas) ..

AEW Signs Former NXT And Ring Of Honor Star To Full Time Deal

October 28, 2022 • Admin

Welcome to the team. The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works. The company is able to offer all kinds of spots to different wrestlers who might never have another chance. It offers wrestlers a chance to get on the main stage that is not there with WWE dominating the market. Now another star who was once a part of WWE is going to have a place to stay. According to Fightful Select, Josh Woods has signed a full time contract with All Elite Wrestling. Woods has been appearing for both AEW and Ring Of Honor since Supercard of Honor in early April. Woods is a former Ring Of Honor Pure Rules Champion as well as a former NXT star, having worked for WWE 2014-2016. During his time in AEW, he has mainly teamed with Tony Nese. Opinion: Woods is one of those guys who will always have a place in the wrestling world as he has the amateur wrestling background to back everything up. That is something that has worked so well for years now and it will continue to do so for a long t..

Jim Ross Offers Update On His Health Status

October 28, 2022 • Admin

I’d call that good news. There are all kinds of injuries that can take place in any given wrestling show and nothing good ever comes from them. You never want to see someone get injured in any way but unfortunately there is no way to guarantee a wrestler’s health. In addition, there are other health issues that can cause a lot of problems. This time though, there is some great news about a bad health situation. During the latest edition of his Grilling JR podcast, AEW broadcaster Jim Ross has announced that he is still cancer free. Ross still has to undergo treatments to heal some burns related to his original cancer treatments. Ross was diagnosed with skin cancer just over a year ago before revealing that he was officially cancer free in December of last year. He missed a few weeks of AEW broadcasting duties due to treatments. Opinion: That is a great thing to hear as Ross not only got better but now he has been able to maintain that health. Ross is probably the most famous broadcas..

WWE Reportedly Interested In Bringing Back Another Former Superstar

October 28, 2022 • Admin

From one to another. There are all kinds of stars throughout the wrestling world, many of whom are formerly stars of WWE. It means a lot to have someone from WWE’s past appearing on another promotion’s show, but sometimes the situation is reversed. There are times where a former WWE star returns to the fold, which might be taking place again in the future. According to PWInsider.com, WWE is interested in bringing Chelsea Green back to the company. Green is currently with Impact Wrestling where she is part of VXT with Deonna Purrazzo. It is not clear when she could return, or if the two sides have officially come to terms. Green was released from WWE in April 2021 after debuting in November 2020. She wrestled one match on the main roster but suffered an injury, with her release coming before she returned to the ring. Opinion: This is one of those ideas that has me interested as Green never got a chance to do anything on the main roster. You can only get so much out of part of a match ..
