Bray Wyatt Advertised For Return To Monday Night Raw

Welcome back. There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster today and it can be difficult to make someone stand out. Every now and then you see someone who gets your attention in a hurry though and it can be a lot of fun to watch them no matter what they are doing. That makes it all the more frustrating when they are off of television, but we might be getting one of them back. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the Fiend Bray Wyatt is advertised for the August 9 Monday Night Raw in Orlando, Florida. Wyatt has not appeared since the Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania 37 in April, when he said he needed to take some time away. There is no word on why Wyatt has been off of television and it is possible that he will return prior to August 9. The Fiend is advertised for the August 9 Raw. AEW President and CEO Tony Khan was recently a guest on ESPN’s SportsNation where he discussed a number of topics. These included the origins of AEW, the company’s upcoming show in New York this September, the hiring of Jacksonville Jaguars’ new head coach, Urban Meyer and more. Another WrestleMania Rematch Set For Hell In A Cell

The card continues to grow. We are less than two days away from WWE’s next pay per view with Hell In A Cell. The show is centered around the namesakes structure but there is a little bit more to the card than that. In addition to the matches taking place inside the Cell, there is also a collection of matches to fill out the show. WWE has added another match to the card. This week on SmackDown, WWE confirmed that Seth Rollins will face Cesaro at Hell In A Cell. The match has been teased for several weeks now, with Rollins attacking Cesaro to put him out of action. Cesaro returned last week and attacked Rollins while also ripping off his suit. The match was announced this week, with Cesaro shoving Rollins down during a backstage interview. Cesaro previously defeated Rollins at WrestleMania 37 in April. The two have been feuding for a long time now. WWE May Be Cross Promoting With The NFL And NASCAR

They have some other ideas. One of the best ways to draw up some interest in anything related to wrestling is to add a gimmick of some kind. It might be to a wrestler or a match, but sometimes it is to a complete show. That can make for some interesting events, some of which are often better than others. Now we might have an idea of what we could be seeing in the near future. According to Fightful Select, FOX and USA/NBC are pushing for WWE to present more themed events. This would include ideas such as a World Cup of Wrestling, featuring wrestlers from all three of WWE’s rosters and a points month, where a wrestler would receive points for things like using signature moves, winning matches, or various other things. Also, NBC is pushing the idea of more crossover events, such as tie-in with NASCAR or Sunday Night Football, such as a football themed show. WWE Has Some Brand New Royalty (And Someone Cried)

The one true king. There are a lot of titles in wrestling these days and some of them are a lot more prestigious than others. Sometimes things can be made even more confusing when you factor in unofficial titles, which can also be defended despite not officially counting. That was the case again this week, and now someone has something new to wrap around their head. This week on SmackDown, Shinsuke Nakamura defeated King Corbin to become the One True King of WWE in a match billed as the Battle For The Crown. The match was the fifth between the two in six weeks with Nakamura winning the series 3-2. As a result, Nakamura gets to keep Corbin’s crown. Nakamura was crowned King after the match as Corbin cried. It is not clear if the crown will be defended going forward or if Corbin will still be referred to as King Corbin, a title he has held since September 2019. WWE previously had an unofficial King’s Crown title in the 1980s, with names such as Harley Race, Jim Duggan, Haku and Randy S..

Dynamite Date: June 18, 2021 Location: Daily’s Place, Jacksonville, Florida Commentators: Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, Jim Ross, Taz The Friday series continues with a special match inside an MMA cage. That may or may not be your taste, but it is certainly something different, which you have to do at some point. This time around it is Jake Hager vs. Wardlow, which is about as logical of a move as you can get. Let’s get to it. Jake Hager vs. Wardlow Chris Jericho and Shawn Spears are the seconds here and it is a full octagon, complete with cage. Wardlow makes sure to turn his back on Hager during the intros, just to show off a bit more. We have three five minute rounds here and you can only win by submission or knockout (no judges). They circle each other for a bit to start until Hager starts going with the striking. Wardlow doesn’t seem to know what to do with him here as Hager hits a few shots and then walks off to let Wardlow think about it. Hager’s attempt at a double leg gets him ..

Title Match Now Taking Place Inside Hell In A Cell

Get the Cell ready. There are certain match types in wrestling that you know makes things serious. Just hearing the name mentioned makes things feel that much more important and ominous, which seems likely to be the case again soon. This weekend, WWE will be presenting its annual Hell In A Cell pay per view event and now another match is taking place inside the show’s namesake structure. This week on SmackDown, Bianca Belair challenged Bayley to make their previously announced SmackDown Women’s Title match at Hell in a Cell into a Hell in a Cell match. Bayley came to the ring for a brawl and laid Belair out before posing with the title. Later in the show, the match was confirmed to take place inside the Cell. Bayley has wrestled inside the Cell one time while Belair will be inside for the first time. They have been at this for a bit. Good News On Injured NXT Star’s Recovery

Road to recovery. One of the few constants in all of wrestling is being vulnerable to an injury. No matter how good or trained someone might be, there is always the chance that they could get hurt. It might even be due to a fluke accident, which can make things all the more dangerous. Some injuries can be a bit more devastating than others, but now a wrestler is on his way back from a long time on the shelf. According to PWInsider.com, NXT’s Ridge Holland has been working especially hard at the Performance Center to return from his injury as soon as possible. He has received praise for his attitude and work ethic to recover from his injury. Holland suffered a left ankle dislocation, a right knee dislocation and a patella tendon rupture in a fight with Oney Lorcan last October. There is no word on when he will be back in the ring. Holland is a British wrestler and a former rugby league player who signed with WWE in 2018. He began his career in NXT UK before moving to NXT in 2020. Holl..

New Grudge Match Set For Hell In A Cell

Add it to the card. There are some feuds that will never go away in wrestling. No matter how many times you see some people fight, they are always going to be back for one more round because they are joined at the hip for one reason or another. Some of the best rivalries of all time fit the description and now we are seeing another edition of one of those this weekend. This week on SmackDown, Kevin Owens and Big E. lost a tag team match to Commander Azeez and Apollo Crews when Azeez pinned Owens after the Nigerian Nail. Sami Zayn was on commentary and found the ending hilarious. As a result, Owens requested and received a match against Zayn at Hell in a Cell. Owens and Zayn have feuded on and off for years, including Owens defeating Zayn at WrestleMania 37. They have done this before. Help You It Can, Yes? NXT Introducing Yoda Inspired Character

That would be a crossover. There are all kinds of characters in wrestling and it is pretty hard to come up with something actually original or fresh. With so many things that have been done before, there is very little left to see. Sometimes you need to look into other areas to make it work, and that seems to be what NXT is going for with one of its newer characters. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Mei Ying of NXT’s Tian Sha stable will be billed as over 1,000 years old and will be presented like Yoda from Star Wars. When she eventually wrestles a match, she will be a martial arts expert. Ying is being portrayed by Karen Q, who has been out of action for nearly two years with a knee injury. She’s been there before. Earlier this year, several wrestlers were released from their WWE deals, which shook up a lot of things in the wrestling industry. The major impact was on WWE, but at the same time, there was suddenly a huge wave of talent available for all of the other promotions. Some wrestlers have already signed elsewhere, and now we might know where another name is heading. This week on Impact Wrestling, Kiera Hogan was thrown into a dumpster. As she was climbing out, she found a black trash bag with the word “Mickie” written on the side. This would seem to be a reference to Mickie James, who had mentioned WWE sending her belongings back to her in a trash bag. There is no word on James possibly returning to Impact Wrestling, though several former WWE stars have been teased for Slammiversary on July 17. That would be uneventful. Pay per view has long since been the main attraction for most major wrestling companies. The regular weekly shows build up to the big events where the important things happen. That means the pressure is on the promotions to really make things work, but usually something big will happen. We are coming up on another pay per view event, but it might be a bit on the uneventful side. This coming Sunday, June 20, WWE will present its Hell In A Cell pay per view event. According to Cagesideseats.com, there are currently no title changes planned for Hell In A Cell.
