Very Interesting Note On Adam Cole’s WWE Departure

September 7, 2021 • Admin

Did anyone know? The ending to AEW All Out featured a pair of huge debuts, as both Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole made their first appearances with the company. Both names were huge acquisitions for AEW and it felt like a big deal when they showed up. They both left WWE when their contracts expired, but one of the two situations was not quite like the other. During the post All Out media scrum, Cole revealed that he was surprised when his WWE contract expired as he did not realize the expiration date. WWE was surprised as well, with Cole thinking that he had about six more months on his deal. Cole had signed a short extension to complete his storyline with Adam Cole, which wrapped up at Takeover 36 in August. He also praised WWE and his time there without saying anything negative about the company. Cole had quite the run in NXT. Interesting Note On Vince McMahon And This Week’s Monday Night Raw

September 7, 2021 • Admin

Did you miss him? Like him or not, there is no one more influential in wrestling than Vince McMahon. As the most powerful person in all of wrestling, McMahon’s decisions and whims can instantly change the industry. That can be both good and bad, though your individual tastes may vary. McMahon’s influence was felt again this week, though not quite in the way you would expect. According to PWInsider.com, McMahon was not present at this week’s Monday Night Raw. With McMahon not around, Bruce Prichard ran the show in his place. However, also according to PWInsider.com, despite McMahon not being around, he had quite a bit of influence on the show and stayed in contact with the show, offering criticisms and various changes. There is no word on why McMahon missed the show. McMahon has spent some time on Monday Night Raw before. Check out some of his better moments on the show over the years: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post ..

AEW President Tony Khan Reveals How MJF Helped Build The Roster

September 7, 2021 • Admin

Call him a people person? AEW has put together a very nice roster in its still limited history. The company has gone from non-existent to one of the bigger promotions in the world in a very short amount of time. Part of this has been due to the wrestlers that they have around every week, many of whom were not major names when they first debuted. They had to come from somewhere and it turns out several of them were from one place. AEW President spoke during the post All Out media event and mentioned that Maxwell Jacob Friedman had personally recommended several current AEW wrestlers. Some names that Friedman recommended include Kris Statlander, Leyla Hirsch, the Acclaimed and Bear Country. Friedman recommended several of them as they trained with him at the Create-A-Pro wrestling school. That’s quite a list of talent. Check out some of the wrestlers that Friedman recommended once they got to AEW: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] ..

Two More Title Matches Set For WWE Extreme Rules

September 7, 2021 • Admin

The card continues to grow. We are less than three weeks away from WWE Extreme Rules and the card has a lot of ground to cover. With so few matches announced for the card so far, WWE needed to get to work with putting some of the show together. A lot of that was taken care of this week, as WWE has announced two more title matches for the pay per view. This week on Monday Night Raw, three new title matches were announced for Extreme Rules. In addition to the WWE Championship match, the Raw Women’s Title will be defended as Charlotte puts her title on the line against Alexa Bliss. Charlotte defeated Nia Jax but was then challenged by Bliss. The match was set for Extreme Rules later in the night. Also during the show, Sheamus became the #1 contender to the United States Title and will challenge Damian Priest at Extreme Rules. Sheamus earned the shot by defeating Drew McIntyre, albeit while grabbing McIntyre’s trunks for extra leverage. This will be a rematch from Summerslam, where Pries..

WWE Title Match Officially Seth For Extreme Rules

September 7, 2021 • Admin

We have the other main event. We are less than three weeks away from WWE Extreme Rules, which is in kind of a weird place on the WWE calendar. The show is the first pay per view after Summerslam so it is both the follow up as well as the start of something new. The champions are going to come in hot and will need quality challengers. Now we know who one of those challengers will be. Last week on Monday Night Raw, RKBro successfully defended the Raw Tag Team Titles against Bobby Lashley and MVP. After the match, Randy Orton took Lashley out with an RKO. This week, Lashley came out to interrupt Orton, saying he wanted a match between the two of them. Orton agreed, as long as the WWE Title was on the line. MVP agreed to the match for Lashley, with the match being set for Extreme Rules. This should be a good one. Check out how we got here and what Orton has been doing as of late: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains ..

205 Live Results – September 3, 2021

September 7, 2021 • Admin

205 Live Date: September 3, 2021 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Vic Joseph I’ve all but given up trying to figure out what to expect from this show, but this time around we actually know what is coming. This week’s show was taped last week and WWE actually gave us a preview last week. No it doesn’t mean anything, but it is kind of nice to have for a change. Let’s get to it. Cora Jade vs. Amari Miller Jade sits down on a skateboard and rides down to the ring for a unique entrance. Miller grabs a wristlock to start but gets headlocked over as they start technical. Back up and they fight over a test of strength until Miller flips her over with a judo toss. Jade misses a running knee in the corner and gets caught with a Backstabber. A kick to the face gives Miller two and it’s off to an armbar with a knee in the ribs. That’s broken up and they trade forearms with Jade getting the better of things to take over. A Gory Stretch spun int..

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – September 6, 2021

September 7, 2021 • Admin

Monday Night Raw Date: September 6, 2021 Location: FTX Arena, Miami, Florida Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton It’s time to start getting ready for Extreme Rules as the show is in less than three weeks. You can probably guess where a lot of the card is going and that should make things a bit easier. There is some stuff taking place tonight as well, in the form of a rematch between Charlotte and Nia Jax. You know, since the first one was such a smashing success. Let’s get to it. New Day is ready for Tag Team Turmoil. They’ll win because New Day Rocks. The Viking Raiders will raid the entire division tonight. Mansoor is ready for Tag Team Turmoil but Mustafa Ali tells him to follow his lead. Lucha House Party says it’s LUCHA TIME. Mace and T-Bar say Tag Team Turmoil means six more victims. Jinder Mahal and Veer are going to be the next champions. AJ Styles and Mansoor can’t imagine Riddle (AJ: “Old Smoky Brain himself.”) being in charge of anything so they’re ..

Main Event Results – September 2, 2021

September 6, 2021 • Admin

Main Event Date: September 2, 2021 Location: Paycom Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Byron Saxton We’re out of the Summerslam fallout week and that means we are ready to get started on the road towards Extreme Rules. Some of the build began this week on Raw and odds are we’ll be seeing a lot more of that this week. As for the Main Event stuff, it’s probably time for more of the usual. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jeff Hardy vs. Cedric Alexander They trade spinning of their jackets to start until Alexander drives him into the corner and shouts about what Jeff has. A headlock has Hardy in more trouble but he sends Alexander face first into all four buckles. An ax handle sets up a failed Twist of Fate attempt and Alexander heads outside. Hardy misses a dive and bangs up his knee so Alexander can choke away back inside. Alexander takes him into the corner but Hardy headscissors his way to freedom. They slug it out until Hardy atomic drops him to set up..

WATCH: Backstage Showdown After AEW All Out

September 6, 2021 • Admin

They’re not done yet. All Elite Wrestling’s All Out 2021 has come and gone and it was certainly a huge event. There were all kinds of things taking place, but the big story came at the end of the night with a pair of huge debuts which changed the way AEW is going to look for a very long time to come. That was big enough, but it turns out that it wasn’t the end of the events. The ending of this weekend’s AEW All Out featured the debuts of Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson. The two appeared back to back, with Cole joining the Elite and Danielson joining with the team’s opposition. A video has been released of the two having a staredown backstage after the show, with the two being asked not to fight with Cole saying that he was a pro and no one had to worry about him. Danielson walked away as well. This could have gotten messy. Check out the confrontation plus the big moments to end the show and what this might look like: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video..

Impact Wrestling Results – September 2, 2021

September 6, 2021 • Admin

Impact Wrestling Date: September 2, 2021 Location: Skyway Studios, Nashville, Tennessee Commentators: D’Lo Brown, Matt Striker We’re still on the road to Victory Road and that means more of Ace Austin, which is not a bad thing. Tonight we have Tommy Dreamer vs. Austin with Dreamer possibly being added to the World Title match if he wins. That’s the kind of threat that Impact might actually follow up on, which doesn’t give me much hope. Let’s get to it. In Memory of Daffney. That was a really hard one. Opening recap. Opening sequence. Madison Rayne/Kaleb With A K/Tenille Dashwood vs. Taylor Wilde/Rachael Ellering/Jordynne Grace Ellering and Kaleb With A K start things off with Rachael wrestling him into the corner without much effort. A release gutwrench suplex drops Kaleb With A K for two and it’s Grace coming in for some standing clotheslines. Rayne gets in a cheap shot though and Dashwood gets to come in and take over. Grace powers out of a chinlock by slamming Rayne backwards b..

Why AEW All Out Almost Looked Very Different Last Night

September 6, 2021 • Admin

That would have been different. Pay per view is usually the be all and end all in wrestling as the shows are often the most important parts of a wrestling calendar. You will see the biggest names in their most prominent matches and the whole thing feels that much bigger. That was the case this weekend, but you almost saw a different card than what was originally planned. Sunday’s AEW All Out 2021 card featured Paul Wight defeating QT Marshall in a match that barely broke three minutes but was held just before the main event. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the match was in that spot due to concerns that the show could run long. Had the previous matches run longer, Marshall vs. Wight could have been cut from the card entirely. There was a road to the match. Check out how it was set up: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This could have been a bit embarrassing for AEW but t..

Ring Of Honor TV Results – September 1, 2021

September 6, 2021 • Admin

Ring of Honor Date: September 1, 2021 Location: UMBC Event Center, Baltimore, Maryland Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Lenny Leonard The rather long road to Death Before Dishonor continues and that means we are going to be seeing more of the Women’s Title tournament. The level of interest took a bit of a hit last week as Quinn McKay was eliminated, so I’m not sure what to expect going forward. We have some more things to cover on the way though and maybe that can pick up some of the slack. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Ian Riccaboni welcomes us to the show and runs down the card, featuring the other two quarterfinals matches. Angelina Love talks about how great she is and how she deserved her first round bye. Why shouldn’t she be the Women’s Champion? Women’s Title Tournament Quarterfinals: Angelina Love vs. Max The Impaler Amy Rose is in Max’s corner. Before the match, Rose warns Angelina that this is going to hurt. Love goes after Max and gets scared by the glare she sees look..

VIDEO: Two More Surprise Debuts At AEW All Out

September 6, 2021 • Admin

Two for one. There are a lot of talented people on the AEW roster and a lot of that is due to the amount of places they draw their talent from. AEW has put together a very deep talent roster with several wrestlers from around the world and from different backgrounds. That was the case again this weekend, as AEW brought in two new wrestlers whose backgrounds could not be much difference. Two special debuts took place at All Out. First, Japanese legend Minoru Suzuki debuted and confronted Jon Moxley after Moxley defeated Satoshi Kojima. The two then got into a fight, resulting in Suzuki leaving Moxley laying. The two are now set to face each other during this week’s AEW Dynamite. Moxley had been suggesting that he wanted to face Suzuki for several weeks. Late r in the show, Ruby Soho, formerly known as Ruby Riott in WWE, debuted in the Casino Battle Royal, appearing as the match’s Joker. Soho would go on to win the match by last eliminating Thunder Rosa, thereby earning a future Women’..

WWE Personality No Longer Testing Positive For Coronavirus

September 6, 2021 • Admin

That’s a positive negative. The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the way everything works and that has been the case in the wrestling world as well. There are only so many things that can be done normally with the virus hanging over everyone’s head and now the cases are piling up again. Sometimes you get some good news though and that seems to be the case again this time. SmackDown broadcaster Pat McAfee has revealed that he is now testing negative for the Coronavirus. This comes over a week after a positive test took McAfee off of the August 27 and September 3 SmackDowns. It is not clear when McAfee will be back on the show. In his absence, Corey Graves has called SmackDown with Michael Cole, with Kevin Owens joining the two on August 27. Be a friend, tell a friend Uncle Covid’s punk ass is officially AHT of me pic.twitter.com/liiXBBoAKn — Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) September 5, 2021 McAfee has been around WWE for a bit. VIDEO: Two Massive Debuts Close AEW All Out, Plus Post Show Promo

September 6, 2021 • Admin

They went big. AEW All Out has come and gone for the year and the show was quite the hit. The entire card worked well with nothing really coming close to being bad. That’s what you want out of a pay per view, but it can help if there is a little more to it. In this case, the show could have benefited from having a big surprise. It turns out that we got even more than that. AEW All Out featured a pair of debuts after the main event ended. After World Champion Kenny Omega retained his title, Omega spoke about how there was no one who could defeat him. The lights then went out and Adam Cole made his debut, only to superkick Jungle Boy and side with Omega and the Elite. This comes after Cole’s WWE contract expired late last month. Cole and the Elite then celebrated, with Omega saying no one could stop then. Then Bryan Danielson, formerly Daniel Bryan in WWE, debuted and helped clear the ring along with Christian Cage and the Jurassic Express. Danielson has not appeared at any wrestling e..

Huge Title Change Takes Place At AEW All Out

September 6, 2021 • Admin

It had to happen eventually. Titles are the easiest concept to understand in wrestling as anyone can understand the idea of a big shiny belt. Someone has the title and someone else wants it, meaning a title match can be held for the championship. Those are easy things to build and that was the case again this week, with some history being made once again. The AEW Tag Team Titles changed hands at All Out 2021 on Sunday night, as the Lucha Bros defeated the Young Bucks in a steel cage match. The teams have feuded throughout AEW’s history, including trading the AAA Tag Team Titles in 2019. The loss ends the Bucks’ record long reign at 302 days and makes the Bros the fifth champions in the history of the titles. The Bros are going to be awesome champions. Check out what they did without the belts: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is a title change that had to happen and that ..

WWE Shuts Down Another Division In Latest Big Change

September 6, 2021 • Admin

Get rid of even more. One of the biggest WWE stories of the year has been their rapid fire releases. There have been all kinds of wrestlers, personalities and employees let go over the course of the year and that seems likely to continue in the future. It can be a scary situation for a lot of employees and now the big moment has come for quite a few of them at once. WWE has officially filed to end their United Kingdom branch, effective immediately. However, this does NOT include NXT UK, as confirmed by NXT UK creative team member Jim Smallman by way of 411mania.com. There is nothing to suggest that this will have any major impact on WWE’s current product. This comes the same week after WWE closed its Japanese office as part of the company’s streamlining of its various offices. WWE has had some good times in the UK. September 6, 2021 • Admin

All Out 2021 Date: September 5, 2021 Location: Now Arena, Chicago, Illinois Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone We’re back to the still fairly rare AEW pay per view schedule with an absolutely stacked show. Buy-In: Hardy Family Office vs. Orange Cassidy/Wheeler Yuta/Chuck Taylor/Jurassic Express Matt Hardy shoves Taylor into the corner because he wants Orange. He gets Luchasaurus instead so Jack Evans gets a rather fast tag. Luchasaurus sends Evans flying with a suplex and it’s off to Boy to send Evans into the corner. Quen and Yuta come in, with the former getting two off a running crossbody. We get the big sequence of most of the people trying a hold at the same time to as much avail as you would expect. Luchasaurus comes back in to throw people around, including a knee to the face ..

WATCH: AEW Star Makes Surprise Appearance, Wins World Title

September 5, 2021 • Admin

He gets around. AEW has been a huge game changer to the wrestling world over the last few years as it has offered a new mainstream level wrestling promotion. You have not seem something like this in years, but AEW wrestlers are not exclusive to the company. They are able to go elsewhere and make appearances, which can offer some interesting situations. That was the case again this weekend. AEW’s Jon Moxley appeared at Saturday’s Game Changer Wrestling event where he defeated Matt Cardona to win the promotion’s World Title. After the match, Nick Gage came to the ring to confront Moxley. Later that night, a match between Moxley and Gage was announced for October 9 in Atlantic City. The two have been teasing a match against each other for several months now. MOX HAS THE BELT! WWE Lets Another Name Go From The Company

September 5, 2021 • Admin

Sometimes you just need to leave. There have been a lot of departures from WWE over the last year and a half, with most of them not being voluntary. WWE has let all kinds of people go, from wrestles to trainers to coaches and more. The majority of these have been due to budget cuts, but there have been a few who left on their own accord. That does not seem to be the case again this week. Evan T. Mack, co-host of WWE’s weekly series The Bump, has revealed that he is gone from WWE. Mack replied to a fan on Twitter, asking where he was and Mack said that he was gone, “unceremoniously”. There is no word on why Mack was let go or who will be replacing him on the show. This is the latest in a string of employees being let go from WWE and it is not clear if more are on the way. Gone fam… unceremoniously… a shame — Evan T. Mack (@evantmack) September 2, 2021 The Bump is a pretty cool show. Check out some of the better moments: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contain..
