BREAKING: Bayley Returns At WWE Summerslam Along With Two Surprise Fan Favorites
Welcome back. The WWE Women’s Revolution took place just over seven years ago and it was one of the best things to have happened to the company. The women’s division has been around for a long time in WWE but it took a special group of women to make it matter. Those women are still around today and now another one of them is back after a rather long time away, but she didn’t come alone.
The opening match at this year’s Summerslam saw Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair successfully defend her title against Becky Lynch. Following the match, Bayley returned after missing over a year of action due to a torn ACL. Former NXT star Dakota Kai and former NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai joined Bayley in the ring and had a standoff with Belair and Lynch before leaving without anything physical taking place. Kai was released from WWE in April and Shirai has been out of action since NXT Stand & Deliver on April 1.
Opinion: Fans were thinking that things would be shaken up once the new regime took over and that is how things started this weekend. Having Bayley back is one thing but bringing back two fan favorites like this is a very good thing to go with it. I’m not sure where this is going, but the WWE women’s division has been dying for some fresh blood for a long time now. They’re doing that with these three and that is a great thing to see.
