Try Again Later: Multiple WWE Injuries Postpone #1 Contenders Match

•

Maybe next time. We are rapidly approaching the end of the year and that means it is time for WWE to start hammering down the card for their Day One pay per view. The event takes place on January 1 so there is only so much time left to get things set. WWE has already set up a few matches, but now one of the potential matches might need some more time. WWE has announced the finals of the RKBronament between the Street Profits and Mysterios have been postponed. Both teams have suffered unspecified injuries and as a result, the match will now be held on the December 27 Monday Night Raw. While not confirmed, there is a chance that the winners will receive their Raw Tag Team Title shot at Day One. It’s worth waiting on. You can always depend on your friends. WWE has posted a new video to its YouTube channel in which they show the full match between Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. Charlotte & Dana Brooke from Battleground 2016. You can watch the match in its entirety below: [This post contains video, click to play] From WWE.com: The champion and her enforcer seemed confident that Banks wouldn’t be able to find a partner, but The Boss proved them wrong as the WWE Network event started. The WWE Universe was ecstatic to see Bayley, erupting in cheers as her trademark wacky waving inflatable arm-flailing tube men soared toward the Verizon Center’s rafters. The rapturous cheers quickly turned to jeers as Charlotte and Dana ambushed their opponents before the bell. The WWE Women’s Champion pounced on Bayley, but the resilient NXT Superstar fought out of the corner with a diving elbow and sent Banks into action. A fired-up Boss charged at Charlotte and unleashed a hurricanrana off the ropes. However, the steel..

205 Live Results – December 3, 2021

•

205 Live Date: December 3, 2021 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Vic Joseph The show’s future might be in jeopardy as the Cruiserweight Title is doing wacky things like getting rid of the weight limit. That makes me wonder if the Cruiserweight Title has much of a future and it is certainly nice to have that as a possible development. The title hasn’t needed to be around for a long time, but nowhere near as long as this show. Let’s get to it. Ivy Nile vs. Erica Yan Diamond Mine is here with Nile, who cranks on a headlock to start. A sliding knee to the ribs has Yan in more trouble and there’s a suplex to put her down again. The double arm crank goes on but Yan fights up and spins her into a sunset flip for two. Nile kicks her into the corner though and an enziguri sets up the choke to finish Yan at 4:19. Result: Ivy Nile b. Erica Yan – Choke (4:19) Draco Anthony is still in that coffee shop, where his actions will speak louder than..

Impact Wrestling Results – December 2, 2021

Impact Wrestling Date: December 2, 2021 Location: Sam’s Town Live, Las Vegas, Nevada Commentators: Matt Striker, D’Lo Brown We’re back after last week’s Wrestle House special, meaning that it’s time to start getting ready for Hard To Kill. For once that’s a major pay per view, which is quite different from all of the smaller monthly shows they have been running as of late. I’m actually curious to see where they go so let’s get to it. Opening recap. Opening sequence. Here is Matt Cardona for a chat. He talks about how great of a show Turning Point was and how he had W. Morrissey beaten, but there was no referee. Then Moose speared him so Morrissey could win, and that’s because Moose knows what Cardona is. Cue Moose to say Cardona has accomplished a lot in eighteen years. Cardona has a podcast and a room full of action figures, plus a big house with a beautiful wife. The problem is he’ll never be that guy, but he wants a match with Moose? That’s fine, because it would last as long a..

Wrestling Legend Rips Charlotte vs. Toni Storm Feud

•

Not everyone is a fan. There are so many stories taking place in WWE at any given time that it could be difficult to keep track of them. Some of the stories are more interesting than others, and that can create a few problems. Ultimately, with so many things going on at once, you are going to find something that is not as good as the others. That seems to be the case again, this time with a wrestling legend. During a recent appearance on the Smack Talk podcast, former WWE star Dutch Mantel talked about the current SmackDown feud between Charlotte and Toni Storm. Mantel’s problem comes from the fact that the feud is built around hitting each other with pies, as it killed the chemistry that the feud had. He does not believe that the feud can be revived, despite Storm earning a title shot during their match on SmackDown. It is an interesting show. Update On Ring Of Honor’s Future, Roster Not Seeming Optimistic

•

That looks to be it. Earlier this weekend, Ring of Honor presented its annual Final Battle event, but this year’s version is quite different. The show is the final event before Ring of Honor goes into a hiatus until April. It is not clear what the future holds for the promotion, but now we know a few more things about what is up next and it is not exactly the most positive. According to Fightful Select, Final Battle was seen as more of a “goodbye” event rather than a “see you in April” among the wrestlers. Several of them were taking pictures with each other and talking to former Ring of Honor owner Cary Silkin. The promotion is scheduled to return in April over WrestleMania weekend with SuperCard of Honor, but no more details have been released. It was a busy night. Ring Of Honor Final Battle 2021 Results

Final Battle 2021 Date: December 11, 2021 Location: UMBC Events Center, Baltimore, Maryland Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman It’s the end of an era and quite possibly the end of a company, or at least the end of the company as we know it to be. Ring of Honor is going into hiatus after this show for about four months, leaving a pretty big cloud over their future. I’m not sure what that is going to mean, but hopefully they can have a great show on their way out. Let’s get to it. Pre-Show: Six Man Tag Team Titles: Righteous vs. Shane Taylor Promotions Promotions (Moses/Kaun/O’Shay Edwar.ds, with Ron Hunt) are defending, with Dutch and Moses fighting over wrist control to start. Moses gets flipped into the corner, so he knocks Dutch outside in a hurry. Everything breaks down in a hurry and the three way brawl is on until it’s Vincent suplexing Kaun. That doesn’t work for Kaun, who is back up with a running elbow to the face. Moses comes back in and gets caught with a Side Ef..

Former WWE Star Alleges Racism In The Company, Still Wants To Return

One more time? WWE has been around for such a long time that it can be easy to forget some of the wrestlers who have been around over the years. There are probably a few names that you have forgotten over the years, which makes for some interesting moments when you hear from them again. Now one former WWE star seems to want another chance in the company. The original Sin Cara, also known as Mistico, spoke with TUDN Mexico, by way of Wrestlinginc.com, and talked about wanting to return to WWE. Cara said that WWE saw something in him and wanted to sign him, but he had to leave for a variety of reasons, including racism. When he arrived in the company, Cara was told to tone down his style and was not given the opportunities that he was promised. Cara blames this on racism, as he says WWE would not want their American talents overshadowed. Cara was round WWE for a good while. More On Johnny Gargano/Kyle O’Reilly Leaving WWE, What The Company Thinks

It might be a bit. There have been all kinds of WWE departures over the course of the last year or two and some of them have been a bit more surprising than others. Some wrestlers have been released while others have walked away on their own. Two more of the latter took place this week, and it might be a little while before you see either of them show up anywhere again. Earlier this week, both Kyle O’Reilly and Johnny Gargano left WWE after their contracts expired. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the current theory in WWE is that the two of them are taking time off from wrestling at the moment, though they both could appear on any show they want at any time. This includes AEW Winter Is Coming later in the week, if the two sides can come to terms. Gargano has reportedly been offered a new WWE deal that is better than his most recent contract. It is not clear what kind of deal O’Reilly has been offered. There is a lot of talent between them. Check out the two in action: [This p..

VIDEO: Chris Jericho Out Of The Hospital, Gives Interesting Update

He’s out. Wrestlers are rather different than the majority of the fans who watch them, but there are quite a few similarities as well. Just like the fans, wrestlers have their own share of medical issues, some of which can be rather serious. Something can flare up out of nowhere, which was the case last week. Now though, we have a positive update on what has happened. Earlier this week, AEW’s Chris Jericho was hospitalized due to a non-Coronavirus related issue. However, Jericho has since updated his status via Twitter, revealing that he has been released from the hospital. In a YouTube video, Jericho has announced that his band Fozzy will continue its tour, albeit without him singing. REVIEW: OVW Christmas Chaos 2001: Tomorrow’s Superstars Back Then

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? WWE Making Major Changes To Superstar Contracts, No More Financial Bonuses

Now though, it seems that WWE has taken away something else from the wrestlers. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has mostly done away with all financial bonuses that the wrestlers are able to make.
