”The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar is all set and ready to capture the flagship title, the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 33. The Beast will face off against ”The Icon” current reigning champion Bill Goldberg who has embarrassed and conquered him twice in singles competition, once at WrestleMania XX at MSG, and then again at WWE Survivor Series PPV last year.
There’s been a great deal of uncertainty over the last few months regarding which individuals would be in contention for the coveted Universal Title at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, with Owens/Jericho and Goldberg/Lesnar being the two obvious choices. WWE decided to go with the latter one, with Lesnar vying to claim his first title since losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship back at WrestleMania 31.
WON have reported that they’ve been consistently told that it’ll be the main event ever since it was first came to their knowledge. Unless there’s a last-minute change of plans, they do in fact believe that Brock Lesnar will walk out of arena with the title. Also, the reason that Lesnar put Goldberg over so quickly at Survivor Series was apparently due to the champion not being able to work a long match.
