Well nobody saw this coming eh?

2017 Royal Rumble Match winner ”The Viper” Randy Orton refused to face his master ”The Eater of Worlds” current reigning WWE Champion Bray Wyatt in the main-event of Wrestlemania 33.

Last night on WWE Smackdown Live, Orton affirmed his allegiance to Bray and refused to fight him at the ”Showcase of the Immortals” as long as he was the reigning and defending undisputed WWE Champion of the world.

After Wyatt retained his title against ”The Face that Runs the Place” John Cena and ”The Phenomenal” A.J. Styles in a Triple Threat match on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live, Orton came out and asserted his allegiance to the Eater of Worlds.

He proclaimed that he would not cross Wyatt and knelt before him pledging loyalty. Randy Orton said:

“I won the Royal Rumble and all the privileges that come with it, but you are the WWE champion.

However, as long as you are the master and I am the servant, I refuse to face you at WrestleMania. I pledge my undying allegiance to you, Bray Wyatt.”

Randy Orton won this year’s Royal Rumble and confirmed his Wrestlemania 33 main event spot. While, his ‘master’ Bray Wyatt won his first ever singles title in the name of the WWE Championship at the Smackdown Live-exclusive 2017 edition of Elimination Chamber pay-per-view after defeating five other Superstars.

Traditionally, the Royal Rumble winner challenges the Champion for the title at WrestleMania. But, with ”The Apex Predator” refusing to face ”The Eater of Worlds”, it would be interesting to see how this situation develops from here and which Superstars get to main-event WrestleMania this year.
