He can do some things. There have been a lot of stars throughout WWE’s history and some of them have become legends of the industry. You know these stars when you see them and it can mean something to see them show up again after a long absence. That was the situation again this week, as a legend showed up in a new role in an effort to build up a younger star.

This week on Monday Night Raw, WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield made a surprise appearance, introducing Baron Corbin as the newest member of the Monday Night Raw roster. Corbin was sent to the show in exchange for Rey Mysterio, who jumped to SmackDown last week. This comes after Layfield picked Corbin up in his limo after a loss on SmackDown back in August. Corbin would go on to defeat Dolph Ziggler with Layfield on commentary.

Opinion: This is the kind of move that works out well for everyone, as Layfield is someone the fans are going to recognize who can add credibility to Corbin. At the same time, Corbin has been so all over the place that he needs to be reset a little bit, which is what this move can do. It works for everyone involved and that is a nice thing to see after everything that Corbin has gone through in the last year plus.

What do you think of the pairing? How will Corbin do in the role? Let us know in the comments below.
