That’s the next one. For the better part of forty years, pay per views have been the most important events in wrestling. A pay per view event would often feature the biggest stars in the most important matches and it was a special feeling when one took place. That is still the case today and one major company only presents a pay per view every few months. Now we know when the next one will be held.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Busy Night: Several Title Changes Take Place At AEW Full Gear

During the post AEW Full Gear media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan announced that the company’s first pay per view of 2023, Revolution, will take place on Sunday March 5 at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California. Revolution will be the first AEW pay per view to be held in California, with previous editions taking place in Illinois or Florida. This will also be a rare Sunday pay per view, as most AEW events are held on Saturday.

The media scrum was big. Check out the event in full, plus Revolution over the years:

Opinion: This is always a special thing to see and if nothing else, it is a good sign for AEW to be moving into some different markets. They can only run the same cities over and over again before it stops mattering and San Francisco is new territory for them. This should work out well and the California fans should be hyped up for one of AEW’s biggest events of the year.
