Former WWE announcer and current ESPN sportscaster, Jonathan Coachman announced on his twitter that WWE Champion Seth Rollins has suffered ACL/MCL/medial meniscus tears in his right knee during his no holds barred match against Kane in Dublin, Ireland. He is expected to be out of action for 6 to 9 months. Seth Rollins is now being replaced on the current UK tour by Big Show.

WWE has released the following statement concerning the WWE champion’s knee injuries and has announced a major tournament at Survivor Series to crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion:

“WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has torn his right ACL, MCL, and medial meniscus, and will not be able to defend the title against Roman Reigns at Survivor Series. A tournament to determine a new champion will instead take place at the event.”
“WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins was set to defend his title against his former Shield “brother” Roman Reigns in a head-to-head battle at Survivor Series, but after Rollins suffered an injury that will keep him out of action for six to nine months, WWE’s most prized possession will now be on the line in historic tournament.
ESPN first broke the news on Twitter that WWE’s top titleholder suffered tears to his ACL/MCL/medial meniscus while performing at WWE Live Event in Dublin, Ireland. As a result, Survivor Series will host a tournament to crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Which Superstars will be participating in this epic event? Will the current No. 1 contender, Roman Reigns, be involved? How many other Superstars will get a chance to win WWE’s top prize? How will the contenders be decided? All these questions and more will be answered as we get closer to the must-see event.
Don’t miss Survivor Series on Sunday, Nov. 22, as history will be made in a WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament, live on the award-winning WWE Network.”

Will The Great Khali appear in upcoming WWE’s Tour of India?

As WWE is returning to India for two shows in New Delhi in January 2016, the speculations are high among the Indian wrestling fans if the local superstar is going to perform or not. At the press conference with WWE superstar Daniel Bryan, media asked if The Great Khali would be present at the shows. However the representative of Ten Sports, the channel partner of WWE, Rajesh Sethi basically dodged the question. He talked instead about how large the Big show is, and plugged that he would be on the tour also.

But amid all the rumors, Khali is now associated with TNA Wrestling and will appear in their upcoming tour of India.

TNA vs ROH, ratings details for this week

TNA Impact Wrestling drew 262,000 viewers this week on Destination America, which is down a bit from last week’s 266,000 viewers. The midnight replay of the same episode drew another 81,000 vs 98,000 last week, for a total of 343,000 viewers. It is a slight decrease over last week’s total of 364,000.

Ring of Honor on the other side drew 141,000 viewers, which is a huge drop from last week’s 227,000 viewers.
Last week saw a more than usual viewership for ROH Wrestling as they were 227,000 vs 266,000 against TNA in the original airing. It will be intersting to know how the ratings play out over the course of next few months as both wrestling company’s deal is up around this new year. With the change in leadership at Destination America, both of the companies could secure a TV deal again.

WWE interested in ROH wrestler Michael Elgin

Ring of Honor star wrestler Michael Elgin may be heading to WWE soon as his contract with ROH expired this past week. WWE is now intersted in him more than before as they need more guys with sound wrestling abilities considering the sucess that their NXT brand is getting.

“The Unbreakable” Michael Elgin is a former ROH Champion and PWI ranked him # 14 and # 43 wrestler in the year 2014 and 2015 respectively.
He had a resurgence lately when he participated in the New Japan Pro Wrestling’s 2015 G1 Climax tournament where his performances made him quite popular among the Japanese crowds.

Seth Rollins possibly injured at WWE live event

WWE Champion Seth Rollins may have injured his knee during the No Holds Barred match against Kane at a WWE live event in Dublin, Ireland.

Rollins was doing a sunset flip powerbomb out of the corner when he landed awkwardly where it seemed he had tweaked his knee badly. He did went on to do the move on Kane through the Table for the finish, but he was helped to the back by WWE trainers.

Below is the footage of Rollins doing the said move:

Who will join Kane and The Undertaker at Survivor Series?

While there is no final word backstage on who is going to team up with Brothers of Destruction, rumors are abound that the WWE Hall of Famer Sting may appear. If he is cleared to wrestle after the injuries he suffered at Night of Champions, he might become the tag team partner in this Dream Team to take on the Wyatt Family at Survivor Series.

It is interesting to note that WWE had plans to reunite the Brothers of Destruction for a long time, but the original plans were for them to wait until around early 2016.

Undertaker made his WWE debut at this very same event and WWE will be celebrating 25 years of The Undertaker with the company at this years Survivor Series.

WWE RAW ratings down, lowest in 18 years

Monday’s WWE RAW set a new 18-year low in viewrship as it drew 3.248 mn viewers, down from the last week’s 3.354 mn viewers, and slightly down from the previous low of 3.27 million viewers for the 10/12 show. It is the lowest non-holiday viewership since WWE RAW became a three hours show. The final rating for the show is 2.32 which is down from last week’s 2.46.

This show saw a dip in ratings with the show low of 3.18 coming in the second hour, with the Survivor Series match in the third hour failing to increase the viewership in a significant way. The lack of interest in this week’s show can be attributed to the absence of big names like John Cena and Brock Lesnar.

Following is the hour by hour data:

8 p.m. 3.38 million viewers

9 p.m. 3.18 million viewers

10 p.m. 3.19 million viewers
